I found the Cavalry salon through a Google search. Annie had great recommendations and I decided to give it a try. That was the result. Perfect nails!!! I highly recommend the salon and especially Annie. 😊
Jennie has never disappointed with her skills and hand painting my designs. Highly recommend, but check prices as they are pricey, but I think it’s worth it.
So Sophie did amazing on my nails, it was my first time visiting and I saw a lot of good reviews for her. HOWEVER, it is been only a week since I got dip and three of my nails have chipped from the smallest things like openings something. Dip is meant to last for AT LEAST three weeks and chipping nails is the first week is Very frustrating after spending all that money, HOWVER I enjoyed the atmosphere and quickness. I will try this place again and update my review. But so far not happy at all at the fact almost one whole hand has chipped after only one week. Then they charge 5 dollars to put on a tip which is absurd. I have been to numerous salons and NEVER EVER has one charged me to simply put on a tip and glue…. But again service was good and I liked the amount of colors so I will try one more time and hopefully have a better lasting result..the photo is my nails after one week
I started coming here after admiring a friend’s nails. I asked her to send me a picture of them and asked her where she got them done. I’ve been coming here ever since and leave happy every time. My nails always look perfect and they last 3+ weeks. Today I had someone ask to take a picture of my nails because she had been admiring them. It made me chuckle and I told her I had done the very same thing!

I was charged $85 for my nails, but unfortunately, the quality was disappointing. My nails started chipping after just two days, which isn’t what I expected for the price. The space itself was small and not very clean, which made me uncomfortable during my visit. I also noticed that the product they used seemed to be of low quality or possibly expired, as bubbles started forming in the polish shortly after the service. I don’t recommend it to anyone in the most. I’m never going back there.

This place has turned into a complete chop shop since I first started going in 2020. My most recent set of acrylics came out horrible. It was simple fill in almond shape and the tech butchered them. The shape came out coffin and she did not add any overlay and smooth out the surfaces, so all of them were bumpy. I just took them off to discover multiple nails beds are green, meaning she did not seal the nails correctly. As well, I decline to get any “spa treatments” during my pedicure and she sucked her teeth and pushed my foot back into the bowl. If I wanted a spa treatment I would go to a spa, just saying. But overall, the shop quality has gone down. Before you could go to any tech and get a good set. Now it’s not better than any other shop. And for them to have risen their prices it’s aggravating not to leave with a good experience. They don’t even offer wine anymore like they use to. Very disappointing.

I have had two really great manicure experiences so far! I’ll definitely be a returning customer. The salon is clean and everyone is friendly and professional. I got a dip manicure that lasted 3+ weeks. Most recently I booked with Jennie and I was very happy with the design she painted. She does amazing work.

I went there about three weeks ago and got a full acrylic set and they looked great! However I went again today to get them removed and have a regular gel manicure on my natural nails. She didn’t remove the acrylic fully, I had to ask twice and she still didn’t remove it all. Then she chopped my natural nails completely down, and now they are stubby and poorly painted….Very disappointed especially because my first visit went so well and the reviews are so good. It just seemed like she didn’t care at all.
Sophie is amazing! My nails look wonderful and easily last 4 weeks after each fill.
And my danced out feet get some well deserved pampering - her foot massage is heaven.
I’ve been trying different nail salons in Alexandria for over a decade, and nowhere compares to Sparkle and Pop. I’m done trying different salons…this place is it! Super clean, attentive and talented staff, great availability. Most impressively, my gel nails lasted almost a month and looked AMAZING…no chips. I’ve never seen such impressive and long lasting work…but after going back several times with the same results, I am so impressed! I am so happy I tried this salon and will certainly be returning. I highly recommend Sparkle and Pop if you are looking for a great gel manicure.

I have been looking for a new nail salon for the longest. This was my first experience and it will not be my last. I went early in and I was paired with Ly. She was lovely and she made sure that I was happy with my nails. I think she may be my go-to nail lady now.

I got my nails done twice and toes done once . Heather does my nails and she is amazing she takes her time and is not sloppy my toes not sure but she did good as well!
Bevis is absolutely a perfectionist. I constantly get compliments on how beautiful my nails look. He cares about what he does and he does it very well. He is an artist. My nails last much longer than ever. No lifting or breaking. Totally recommend Bevis and everyone at Sparkle and Pop! I typically get a Spa Pedicure with my nails and think their prices are very fair for the excellent quality.
Sparkle and Pop was fantastic! No wait to get my nails done (granted it’s a Tuesday, but still). Victor, my nail tech was super nice and I think the prices are very reasonable. Loved my experience. Got a gel mani and gel pedi.
I’ve been going to Mindy for 2 years. I seen a review from someone else who went to her and she did a great job on their nails, so I chose to go to her. I like to keep my acrylic nails natural and short because I code a lot during the day, and hate long nails. Plus, I only get one color, which is acrylic powder #87. Mindy remembers and I don’t have to remind her at all. I love the way she focuses on my cuticles and shapes my nails. Short, square, quick and neat. Shes super fast and gentle. Definitely recommend Mindy.

I would give 4 stars because they are always incredibly nice and are incredibly gentle. In the past, this location has even helped me out with some nail problems with ease! But based on what I experienced today, I would warn anyone coming here- even if you aren’t new to this business. My experience left a bad taste in my mouth when I brought my family and we were clear about what we wanted… but the staff continued to leave items off the list for my sister and I and up charged us for way more than what we asked for or even received. We only asked for a collagen pedi each (which we didn’t get a complete package of) and they ended up charging all of us $75 each instead of the original $45 each.. We caught it multiple times during the pedi but there was an excuse each time- saying it was still coming but it never did. We didn’t say anything because we were surprised when we received the bill of $75 each and just didn’t know how to proceed. It was truly in bad taste and to feel like we were taken advantage of in a place that we have enjoyed in the past is just really sour. I am not sure if we will be back because of this as we would rather put money and time into a business we can trust.

nice space. Terrible at pedicures. Barely scrub feet, offer the paraffin socks. Nail color managed to get smudged after 3 hours first time in my life. After Sugar Scrub a block away, this is a total disappointment- they just don't have the training how to do pedicures well. Manicures are ok, with a lot of coaching.

divine is often hit or miss but today i had a terrible experience. i went with a friend and we both had a terrible experience. my nail tech was extremely rude and was hurting me while doing my manicure. i got tip extensions which i wanted cut down and i asked for it and she refused to do it shorter even though it was possible. she had the wrong color as well and i had to point it out to make the change. then as i was checking out i was paying mostly cash but any left over on my card. i gave them $120. they proceeded to say i paid 100 and pocketed the 20 and charged 37$ to my card. i noticed this and they were hesitant to give back my $20 which i had NOT designated as a tip because i was tipping via venmo. the service was not deserving of a $20 tip because of the rudeness and the not listening to my requests about shape and length. my nails turned out fine but long but my friends were horrible like she had done it herself at home. NOT WORTH IT DONT GO HERE. SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE.

I've been going to Mindy for over a year now. She's such a nice person. I love the way she shapes my nails. I'm so picky about shaping. I usually get a simple set, no designs. Each set usually last about 3-4 weeks before I need a fill. I haven't experienced any chipping or peeling with the gel polish that Mindy uses. It's rare that my nails break. Mindy is also great at doing pedicures.

New to the area and I went to Divine Nail Spa Thursday and loved Kevin. But after about two-three days my nail broke. I called the shop and asked if I could get it fixed. The owner/ Manager said yes. So I went today and I realized there are a lot of similar colors to my color and if they take the dip powder off of one nail it may not match the rest of my nails. So talked to the lady at the desk and she stated she had to ask her manager. “Okay fine”. So the lady at the front said to me my manager said we can just take the nail off and fix the one nail. So I end up calling the manager and talking to her. She was so rude and didn't care to hear me out. She made her point and that was it. She was talking over me. She had no customer service at all. It was super inappropriate and she was arguing and not even letting me speak. Then hung up on me at the end because she was done with what she had to say. So at that point I just told the lady at the front desk I will be leaving and she apologized but her manager is not nice at all.

My regular nail spa was booked solid 4 days ago so I found this establishment online in a pinch and walked in that same day for the first time. The location was fairly convenient, ambience nice, and staff were friendly. I'm taking a break from gel and dip manicures and have been getting regular polish for a few months now. I'm very careful with my nails and don't keep them in water or batter them in any way. At my regular salon, my polish will last about 7-9 days before very light chipping. After going to this salon? The polish began to chip the day after and was completely unwearable by the 3rd day. When I called to see if I could have them redone, I was told that they do not guarantee their work unless you've had a gel manicure. I could see if I was 5 or more days in though 3-4 days was ridiculous to have this much polish chipping, especially when this is not my normal experience anywhere else. I could have done my nails at home with longer lasting results. I know where I will not be returning for any service. And that's unfortunate.

I’ve been going to Divine for a couple years now and enjoy their services. It is clean and organized with similar prices to other salons. I usually make an appt but also had no problems just walking in.

I’ve been going here for probably 10 years or more? I can’t remember. I started at the Arlington location and moved to the Del Ray location to support Holly and Wendi when they opened up the Del Ray location which was during the pandemic. The salon is clean and the nail techs are all super professional and detail oriented. My gel manicures always last for a full 3 weeks. 100% recommend. The pricing is a little on the expensive side but you also get what you pay for. I don’t like to feel rushed or sit with crowds of people. My manicures always last for 3-4 weeks as well.

Im surprised how bad an experience I had at this place given the ok reviews it has overall. The technician I had did a terrible job.
She made two cuticles
Bleed, she didn’t file my nails evenly and didn’t clean under the nail. The gel
Polish application is streaky, lumpy and has bubbles. She didn’t clean nails polish that got on my fingers. She also rushed the massage and was watching tv on a tablet while
Working on my nails. It was a sloppy and unpleasant experience. I hate to leave a bad review for a place that overall looks clean and well cared for but they need to ensure the quality of their technicians work. I won’t be coming here again.
