I’ve been coming to Shanice for a few years now and just recently been sending referrals and those 4 ladies have just been going on and on about their haircuts and services. Wishing they had been a client sooner!
Services with Jada, unprofessional, rude, didnt finish curling my hair my hair right. Rushed, burned my scalp and threatened me. Reporting her to board of cosmetology.
I love it here! I’m sad that I found it so late and only have been able to be here a handful of times, but each time has been a pleasant experience.

I haven't had a bad haircut here. Sarah and Kristin both did a great job. Also this is one of the rare places that does sink washes. So it's like sport clips but a better quality cut and cheaper.
I came for the reviews and I regret it. Teri is not punctual, her communication skills are subpar, and she did not do a phenomenal job on the style. Maybe I caught her on a bad day or something. She caught an attitude when I expressed my concerns because the style didn’t last. She blamed me for it but offered to redo it for half the price if I give her 5 stars. This is an unprofessional stylist and I will never return to her or this shop.

Amber is an amazing stylist who over delivers! I’ve gone to her for three different styles (feed in stitch braids, medium knotless, fulani’s) and every style came out so bomb! I would definitely recommend Amber.

I received services from Jada, my hair was super cute but realized 3 things when I left. 1. I asked for loose curls instead of flat iron (which I showed her the video of the curls I wanted), I was expecting less hair (I showed the video of the exact style I wanted) and when I got home I had to cut my hair because the cut was not even on both sides which I was sad about because it was cute!
Badly trained stylist, will ruin your hair. I'd recommend going anywhere else.
The service is great and Mrs. Vanessa is the best stylist, I have ever had the pleasure of doing my hair.

Highly Recommend! My stylist Shelley is amazing!!! Her room is always clean and organized. She does really creative styling and also cares about the health of your hair! Thanks to her observations and recommendations my hair and scalp are as healthy as they've ever been! I always take a stack of her business cards where ever I go because I always get the question "Who does your hair? And where is she located?" Give Shelley a call. You won't be disappointed!

Moved to the area beginning of 2023 and it’s always frustrating trying to find a new person to cut my hair. In my experience, most barbershops/salons outside base give you the “BX” haircut. But I decided to give this place a try. I’m happy I did. Christina has been cutting my hair for the last few months and always does a great job. She is nice, quick, and consistent. My fades always look clean.
I absolutely love this salon! Having thick medium length hair it is hard to find a GOOD salon that knows how to give my hair some TLC! It is definitely a great vibe and super nice people. I definitely recommend!

I was very pleased with the services I received, Aisha my stylist was a professional and is excellent with her craft. Her weave sewing technique is superb. Shampoo and conditioning service was great, my head feels light and scalp clean. The conversation was of substance…all good vibes. Thank you Salon 7, I will be returning.
I asked for a touch up on my knotless braids. I only needed the front perimeter done. I called and was told it is $20 per row. Because I don’t have time for games or misunderstandings I told the Braider I was coming to show them exactly what I needed which were 9 braids in the front of my head.
The 9 braids were pulled all the way down out of my ponytail and I stood in front of the Braider so she could see the color, size, length and everything before she confirmed the time I should come back.
Well I took out the 9 braids and called to confirm that I was on my way. Only yo get there, wait a few for my turn, sit in the seat and the Braider says to me “well it’s going to be $40 now. For the length”. I let her have it professionally telling her that she was very wrong for lying to me and waiting for me to take out my hair and return to her seat to switch the price. She saw my hair and the length before confirming the appointment.
To make it worse she totally messed up the front of my hair and did NOT know how to do knotless braids (which I questioned when she did the first one. I couldn’t tell that it was a mess until I left.
I will NEVER go back and hope everyone will be aware of this poor practice.

I love getting my hair cut here! I typically visit the barber in the BX on base for a cut but figured I'd try Hair Force because they're right outside the Virginia Gate.

Aisha, took me in as I was regrowing my hair from chemo. I didn’t have a clue how to mange and regrow my hair. It’s been close to 10 months from 3 inch’s to shoulder length natural still growing. Aisha is very knowledgeable in hair care, pleasant, on time there is no waiting. We have a nice routine my hair is growing manageable and she will tell you if something isn’t going to work so she also knows how to manage your expectations. I enjoy coming to Aisha.

Although, I was not sure what to expect because this was my first time having a installation & cut, but Ms. Aisha calmed my anxiety explained the process and she went to work! I scheduled an appointment with Aisha at the last minute. This was my first time and she was very patient in explaining to me what I needed done to my hair. She was very professional and made me feel very comfortable. We had great conversation and she finished my hair in record time. I will definitely go back to her.
I am very impressed with this Salon. Aisha was my hair stylist, she was on time and ready for me. Most stylists make you wait or have multiple people at one time. She did an excellent job on my hair and my hair looks so healthy. It is very hard to find a good stylist that can grow your hair, make it healthy and have you out of the shop in a reasonable time. I will definitely continue to come back.
I'm. Service was excellent. I love the cocktail blended for my hair. For the first time my hair was thirsty, damaged and nothing like my hair. After the care and service, my hair feels great, but I will have to go back for more care until my hair reverts back. More to come....next visit. Thanks again! Today was my first time going to this place I found on google . And let me tell you my walk-in is experience was wow!!! Very near clean smell good. The staff was a friendly. The bathroom was very welled kept up. The decor was amazing. I only have one thing to say and it can be me. The staff need to smile more and greet the customers not all but some. I may came on a very tired day. I know I was exhausted but them young ladies do amazing work. Will be back. Went to get my starter locs by billie. Oh the musics was very good nice playlist.❤️
I’ve been here a few times, but this last time was terrible! The product put in my hair for washing and styling this time made my hair not feel the same. Stylist who did my hair was nice and professional. But I questioned products used so stylist called owner via phone (who was not there). Talking to her made it worse. Owner was rude, unapologetic, and did not care to listen! She only cared about getting money for over priced service. Owner acts like she has the best products, but this is not a good salon for black women hair or a salon who doesn’t understand it. I went for convenience but will NEVER be back again!
My 18 year old schedule a wash and blowout only. She did not get a haircut or flat iron at all. Kabelly charged her $80! My kind, sweet teen even tipped her $10. That is $90 for a wash and blowout only! She was only in the salon 45 minutes. I am extremely disappointed that the owner took advantage of my teen. A wash and blowout should not exceed $50!
Angelica did an AMAZING job on my hair! She valued my time and did not have me in there all day. I was in and out within 1hour and 15mins!! She did not have me waiting long and was very professional! I will be making another appointment. 😊

Kabelly and Marcia were wonderful!! My hair was really dry and they put a treatment in my hair and now it looks really smooth and healthy. They made me look like a Goddess. They were really professional and the place was really clean. You pay for quality service here! You should definitely try this place out!
I saw her add on Facebook she was quick getting back to me. My problem starts at she told me to be there by 7am and she was about 20 minutes late. We discussed through text that I would be getting small to medium braids. What she put in my hair is large braids and big parts. She also used a extreme amount of jam in my hair and it’s been two days since I’ve had them in a there’s already a lot of built up product because of that. I messaged her explaining to her that I didn’t like my braids because they aren’t what we discuss and she told me that she did that size because of the deal, but my things is she should’ve told me that because I would’ve never went to her. Especially because I was coming from fairfax va. This review doesn’t reflect the business as a whole but definitely the young lady that did my hair
So I went in today for the first time to get Senegalese and I have to say I LOVE my hair. I went in at 9:00am and was out by 2:30 with only one person working on my head. She took me right when I walked in and asked me what color and style I wanted. She was very nice and always check to make sure I was ok and if I liked it. Most salons I go to don’t never have the color I want but they did. The price was very fair. I saw the work of the other stylist and everyone work looked great and everyone was working fast. I definitely found my new salon.
Awesome experience! The facility was Covid compliant. My hair had some damage, Ms. Inez cut my hair, got rid of the damage, and gave me a beautiful style. I was more than happy. The owner is always friendly, as well as the other workers that were there pre-covid. However, laughing and chatting with Ms. Inez is always fun and pleasant. I'm glad my bestie referred me.

Inez is AWESOME! I needed to find a new stylist and she was the answer to my prayer. I always wanted a Mohawk style with a twist; Inez was the 1st stylist to give me what I wanted.
I came to this salon as a last resort and the owner ended up doing my hair. I'm all natural and been that way for 8 years. I had just took out my braids so my shrinkage was in full effect. Once my hair was done it was fine. Keep in mind I straighten my hair twice a year. Fast forward to a week later when I washed my hair, I was horrified. Heat damage so bad I thought they snuck a perm in my hair. My roots are completely straight and there are straight pieces all throughout my hair. I do not recommend going to this salon if you're natural and don't wear your hair straighten or want a healthy head of hair. Now I have to start from scratch.

Everything about Encore Hair Boutique is amazing! I LOVE the atmosphere. Everyone is friendly and are very welcoming. It is a Christian salon, so God is definitely the foundation and I love that. My hair stylist Candis is awesome! I've never been disappointed. She started my locs and have been maintaining them ever since. My hair is healthy and happy lol. Great place to get your hair done!
This is my third time getting Kinky Twist at Hometown Hair Braiding in Clinton. Three hours from start to finish this time, but I'm always out in less than four hours. My Kinky Twist always last two months. This style doesn't require a lot maintenance. Although when I'm sitting around the house or sleeping, I keep my twists covered with a satin scarf or satin cap. As the twists get old, they still keep true to form and shape. I just mousse my twists, lay down my edges, and put my satin scarf on. No one will be able to guess how old your twists are.
The shop is no different from many other African hair braiding shops. I go for service, and not ambience. The staff is nice. Appointments start as early as 6am. You can charge your phone or tablet while getting your hair done. Take a sweater or jacket if you get cold easily; they pump the AC in the summer time months. Hope this helps.

I was truly satisfied and my head felt great when I left. I’ve gone to other salons and had a headache when I left because they pulled my hair to tight. With her, it was just right. And she’s quick. With braiding my hair and putting in the crotchet hair, it only took her 2 hours. I would highly recommend this shop and commend the owner for the great service she provides.

Shelley provides wonderful advice on hair care. She’s very professional, listens to you and your hair style and eyebrows look great when she works her magic. My experience with Shelley at salon 7 was excellent. Very clean environment too. Highly recommended.
Let me first start off by saying I was 45 minutes late to my appointment and they still took me. (Children issues) The lovely lady that worked on my hair was amazing and professional. She worked fast as well, under 2 hours and I got crochet ocean waves !!!!!. They look amazing the hair is secure and tight! !!

My experience was a great one! Bridgette was very sweet, you can tell when people have a passion for what they love. My hairstyle is baby twists with natural hair and I love it! I've already received several inquires about my hair and will gladly refer this location. I will definitely be a returning customer!!

I love the atmosphere! My daughters and I have been customers for awhile now. I'm typically not good with making standard biweekly appointments so I will call and I'm able to get the girls and myself in on a day and time that works for me. They are very accommodating, gracious, and we love our stylists!
I truly enjoyed my service at Encore. The stylist were both knowledgeable and professional. The shampoo girls were wonderful and thoughtful. For example they asked was I comfortable in the shampoo bowl and if the water temp was just right for me. The manger walked around and greeted each person with a sincere smile and a good morning. This is definitely a place to come and decompress from a long work day. I did not experience any of the issues mentioned 2/3 yrs ago and I have made an follow up appointment.
