Superb MIddle Eastern Cuisine. We had the restaurant to ourselves. The cold wet weather and stopping by in the mid-afternoon after lunch and before dinner allowed us to assess this jewel without distractions. My friend has been coming to this restaurant for decades. it was my first time. But it won't be my last.
Love the food. The service is top shelf.
I took a picture of the gorgeous wrought iron door that leads to another dinning area.
The other photo shows my plate already attacked by my enthusiasm.

I have come here a few times, and probably be the last due to our experience. Greek salad was terrible and lazily made, not worth $14
The dessert was a fake tiramisú that was dry and cold not worth $8. I will say the beef and chicken koobideh is always good along with the rice and veggies. We had a $100 gift card for this place and since our meal was only $85.00 we lost the rest of the credit, it was explained to us in such a strange way. We decided that it could be used for a tip that wasn't worth it. We will try the Glendale location to see if it's any m better.

We had the rack of lamb & the trout with Zereshk polo. The lamb was perfectly seasoned & melted in my mouth. Everything was absolutely delicious!
I really liked this place more than fancier persian restaurants. A nice gentleman whose name was Amir took our order and made sure that my friends and I had a great meal.

My recent experience left me a bit disappointed. The food quality seemed to have taken a step back from what I've enjoyed here before. The flavors weren't as vibrant, and some dishes lacked the same level of freshness I've come to expect. I hope the restaurant can address these concerns.
My new favorite Persian restaurant...
Great food, service. Easy street parking except between 4-7 pm. Will need to park on the side streets.
Beautiful interior, excellent for small get together, office parties....
A true classic spot for great Persian food. Great service
Very good halal Grocery shop, fresh Meat and Chicken

I am writing this review to alert others about the deceptive practices at this restaurant, particularly when dealing with Parinaz, a hostess who seems to have mastered the art of overcharging unsuspecting customers.

On my recent order of 5 large salads, I requested a mere 16 oz of dressing, only to find out I was charged an additional $10. The driver, an employee of the restaurant, tried to justify this outrageous fee by claiming it was for ‘extra’ dressing. Since when does a salad not come with any dressing at all? This is a clear case of inconsistency, as I have placed the exact same order with other staff members and was never charged extra.

I am appalled at this dishonesty and feel compelled to warn others about this blatant act of thievery. I am also reporting this incident to the Better Business Bureau. Buyers beware - check your bill carefully when dealing with this establishment, and be wary of hidden charges.
Very good international market, they have a wide variety of Arabic and Persian food. Also at amazing prices!

Good (not great) selection of middle eastern foods and snacks. Good service, great produce, and great halal butcher.
I used to shop at this store for many years!!!this morning I was surprised, the store is so dirty the meat doesn’t look fresh and new . I was looking for semolina and it was all expired with the mold on it . They should either makeover all the store with more hygiene or just close it .
I stumbled upon Shayan Express Restaurant, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! The service was impeccable, with the staff going above and beyond to make us feel special. Now, let's talk about the food – an explosion of flavors that awakened my taste buds. The lamb kebabs were tender and flavorful, and the aromatic rice dishes were heavenly. The ambiance was charming, with Persian carpets and traditional decor creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. I left with a happy heart and a full belly, and I'll be returning soon!
Love it. A grocery store with it's own butcher the way of yesteryear. Very recommended for middleastern food lovers.

The welcome bread was perfect. Tahdig appetizer wasn't that much crispy. Soltani kebab was good. The quality of the sumac wasn't good. I hope they change it.
Overall was good and we like it. The atmosphere can be much much better.

They are finally open again for indoor dining! The food is great and nothing has changed. The service is great and they have done a small remodel to give the place a newer look. I would highly recommend the Lubia Polo with Koobideh as that is my favorite here. The boneless chicken and lamb shank is awesome as well. Finally they hookup the Tahdig and it is a must as an appetizer.

This restaurant is amazing and they really know how to cook Persian food. Also, they just recently opened up the dining room, so now you can experience the atmosphere inside of the restaurant instead of having to order takeout. The dining room has been closed for about 3 1/2 years.
I bought lamb shanks and lamb meat, so both smells really bad. The meat was really old and nasty. I recommend you check the meat before buying.
I don’t recommend. Lazy people they don’t even price tickets items, unknown prices and you’ll be surprised at register!!!

Pargiot and schwarma plates are amazing. Burgers are really good, too.
Amaazing food! Amazing service !The whole experience from start to finish was great
They were so friendly and kind. The food can’t get better and the prices are fair for the group of 20 people in two different locations delivered on time. Always a great spot to get great food.thank you for everything 🙏🙏🙏🙏

good quality and quantity of the food. A bit pricy but good.
I got Salmon Kabob for lunch, and I didn't like it at all. The fish smelled like not fresh.

Food is plentiful and good. I had falafel platter, which was good, although the falafel is much smaller than I'm accustomed to. The salads were good.
Unfortunately, the noise level is not comfortable inside, and in order to even hear each other talk, we had to sit outside, which was getting cool

I got food delivered to me a few days ago. Their service is truly unbeatable. The nice lady on the phone was so helpful and told me exactly what each item included. Made me feel comfortable and the delivery driver was even better. They come with a great attitude and they bring the food inside for you if you'd like because usually it is HOT! Love the food and service!

The noise level in the restaurant makes it almost impossible to hold a conversation. In fairness they did turn off the music when we requested. We were a group of 9 and did find seating, which was great. OKAY now the important stuff, the food, it was delicious and portions are generous. All 9 people were happy and full, and the staff was great in meeting all the individual tweaks. Coming back for sure
Best place to go if you’re looking for some middle eastern food ingredients 👌
Good Persian food and prices
Their hamburgers are great and prices are good also.
I am usually not into a food truck foods but a friend of mine took me there and the place did not disappoint. Very delicious food indeed.

I came here for the first time to try the shawarma. I saw they offered the solika sandwich on fridays so I switched my order. Not gonna lie, it was really really good. Shnitzel with eggplants on challah bread. I was pleasantly surprised as I usually like the valley kosher spots more than the ones in Pico Robertson.
Exceptional food and customer service. Almost endless delicious toppings options at no additional cost, wow. It's really scratching the shawarma itch as an ex-pat NYer. You will not regret getting this food!!

5 stars all around. Really good lamb, beef and chicken. Tender and tasty best persian kabobs in Los Angeles. Always one of my favorite Persian food places to go. It’s always fresh and delicious.
The food quality is excellent. Everything was cooked to perfection and you can taste the fresh ingredients of the food. Outstanding customer service.

It really hurts me to not write a 5 star review for this place because they absolutely can have that rating. I deliver from this restaurant often and they just keep frustrating me with things.

The food is amazing when it’s good. The problem is that they are not as consistent and the quality can be amazing to sub par. I’m taking off a star for that reason.

The most frustrating part is their lack of following the order + instructions (this is sad to see when they attach a receipt of your order with said instructions to the order). When ordering a plate which normally is the most expensive way of ordering an entree it normally comes with many sides which makes the meal and can ruin it when not provided. Another star taken off for constantly getting the order wrong and being lazy.

I will still order from them and will gladly change my review if someone sees this and incorporates change. Again, they do provide amazing food.

We had a great experience in Shiraz restaurant, their kabob was amazing, very soft and delicious. Their Ashe mast was to die for. I didn’t like their basmati rice.I believe they did not wash it before cooking, because it smelled strongly of raw rice. We also enjoyed the zolbia bamiye and tea. Thank you

I recently had the London broil baguette sandwich at Holy Grill and it was absolutely delicious! The meat was cooked to perfection and the bread was fresh and crispy. But what really made the sandwich stand out was the flavor from the toppings. I especially loved the red charif, which gave the sandwich a nice kick of spice.

If you're planning on trying out Holy Grill, I highly recommend taking the pro tip to heart and going for the green charif if you're not a fan of too much spice. Overall, the food was fantastic and the service was friendly and efficient. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu.

I recently tried the Holly Grill food truck and was blown away by the delicious holly grill burger! The portion size was generous and more than enough to satisfy my hunger. The service was fast and friendly, and there was plenty of space to sit outside with the communal seating. I highly recommend this food truck for anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying kosher meal!
Food was ok and charged me extra $3/plate for green rice but sent white rice. When called about it they just disconnected call saying OK instead of addressing the concern.
As one of my kids said: "It's the best place in America! I felt like I'm in Israel"
Ordered the grilled Salmon with rice. It was heavenly. The hummus was made creamy to perfection. The salmon had a smokey texture and rice was full of herbs. Liked their yogurt drink too it was minty.
Excellent I do not eat meat and he went beyond to make me something vegetarian for myself thank you so much it was great
It looks like a dive, but it's A-rated, and the food backs it up. Delicious. I bought the #1 $12.99.

My number 1 iranian restaurant in downtown LA. Prices are reasonable and the quality is excellent. I suggest its lamb shank. Also they serve halal meat.
The food was genuine and delicious, the food was hot and great customer service. first time impress was a charm. The bread was hot and warm, and wasn't hard but soft. I will be coming back.

My co-workers took me here for my birthday and I was very very pleased. I ordered the kabob lunch special and it was phenomenal. The meat cooked perfectly still very moist and flavor and the rice was the perfect combo of fluff and butter. I highly recommend this place!
Great Israeli food, parguiot chicken plate is my fave. Order ahead especially during rush hour. Friendly people, fair prices, park at the meter or the parking lot
