This place is awesome, it’s the only restaurant in town where I’m a regular, and they are always good to me. Prompt, courteous service, and excellent, affordable food. So many businesses are crap these days, it’s great to have a place in my neighborhood where I want to go on my best days and my worst. They even serve a delicious soup before you even order, just to make you feel at home. Well done, guys.
Been waiting for a while to go there. It was our anniversary yesterday. Me and my bf went there. The service was very bad. Called the waiter to ask for the sauces and he came mumbling and made us feel uncomfortable didn’t even wait for us to order more and juat left. Everytime someone put a honest review they reply by saying its fake or theres nothing wrong as they already have 4.5 ratings and i doesn’t effect them. But i just want to warn people to please not waste ur time go somewhere better cause these people will spoil your mood and your day. Hopefully they don’t delete this. I am very disappointed

Excellent place to go for somthing different, we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere of Maray. The prices are reasonable to. The food came out pretty quick and in no particular order, which wasn't the best as the carrots came out last after we finished everything else. I'd recommend upstairs as you get a good view of the dock, especially as it's going dark. We was a little disappointed the ox cheek wasn't available, but still enjoyed everything else.
A lovely run resturant with a calm, and family atmosphere where by you can enjoy good quality food.

The chicken is truly amazing!! The complimentary soup was so delicious! I had the felafel dish, as I fancied a simple dish for the evening. It was fresh and beautifully made. Loved the red cabbage salad with it!!

My Mum chose this restaurant for her birthday celebration and we all absolutely loved it, fantastic night location being within the dock, parking right outside. The menu was extensive, with some incredible flavours and covered all of our needs inc GF and Vegetarian. Even opted for all of the desserts to share around the table. Really lovely evening and excellent service, would highly recommend

Every item we got was a 5/5. Best whiskey cocktail I’ve had in all of the UK (old fashioned). Beautiful view whilst sitting outside. All waitstaff were super friendly.
This is without a doubt the best restaurant in Liverpool. Since I moved to the city 4 years ago, I have averaged 1 visit a week and frankly wish I could visit more! The food and service is outstanding plus it is very good value!

I tend to get the same thing every time, so if it is your first time I highly recommend the fried chicken quzi with Biriani rice and lentil soup.

The restaurant holds a very special place in mine and my family’s lives, as well as serving as a community hub.
The food is tasty, reasonably priced and large servings. Friendly staff.
I ordered Lamb Mandi, Masoub
Both of them were great.

An excellent modern style Tapas bar on the Liverpool dockland waterfront. Very lovely, helpful staff and nice views over the dock. The food was excellent , if a little pricey.

The individual dishes were a reasonable size (see photos ), but as is common in so many British tapas places, they just come out randomly. The date bread and butter pudding was amazing though.
Meze and tapas style Lebanese/Med style restaurant. Excellent service complements the fabulous food which tastes best when shared with friends. Disco cauliflower is their signature dish which literally dances across your palette. Olives, hummus and flatbread are a great way to start. It was busy when we went, worth booking ahead but even with full covers services was still excellent and food arrived quickly. Superb.

A lovely experience on the docks. Lovely evening sun blazing through.

Rang ahead and booked a for our large team. Well cared for through out the evening.

Lovely selection of amazing food. Loved it as a vegetarian but meat options available.

Definitely on my list to visit again on my return to Liverpool
Absolutely Fantastic, especially if you're looking for vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meals due to allergies. You walk through the door, and the friendliness and positivity hit you first. All the staff are extremely customer-oriented and will do their best to make your meal/stay perfect. It's Middle Eastern-style food, scrumptious. When ordering, we were given an iPad where you can select your allergies, and it shows you exactly what you can eat. The red wines are also outstanding. A big thank you.

Not knowing what to expect from somewhere in quite a touristy spot we were very pleasantly surprised by the friendly welcome and convivial atmosphere. Most of all though we were knocked out by the quality of the food. Stand-out dishes were the disco cauliflower (I kid you not) and the medjool date bread and butter pudding (wow) but everything we had was absolutely delicious.

Me and my partner eat here at least twice a month. I'm vegetarian he is not. We both swear that the halloumi wrap is the best thing to eat. My partner also loves the chicken tawok wrap. The Baba Ganoush from here is exquisite. You must also try the basha sauce. God knows what's in it (crack?!). But it's worth it's weight in gold. Best order: halloumi wrap, chicken tawouk wrap, Baba Ganoush, basha sauce. Incredible food from a fabulous family business.
My favourite restaurant in Liverpool. Lovely fresh food, great service and very reasonable prices. The limonada is amazing too!

Best place to get a kebab on Smithdown. Tastes completely home made, seasoning 11/10. Vibes are on 100%. If you’re sound you’ll get to wear a branded fez. Boss gave us extra baba ghanoush this eve which was so delicious & very kind. Such good food & service. Long live Basha ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

Ordered food total of £35 that never arrived the restaurant told me to speak with the driver and just eat spoke with just eat they said sorry there is nothing we can do and the driver did not answer the phone. I went to the restaurant they said is nothing we can do either, what scam is this! Absolutely disgraceful!
If I could give them 6 stars I would. I don't think I have ever ate a dish and still wished I was eating it the next day and remembering its taste hours after eating it. The lamb can be defined as crispy but a different crisp like breaded but not stuck, and so tender in the middle, even the plain rice was so tasty. I definetly recommend and will be back! Staff very nice too.
A lovely find during my stay in Liverpool. Just off Dale St.

Lovely, friendly staff.
Food was great (hummus for starters and the mixed kebab with rice for main, followed by biscoff cheesecake and a good quality americano coffee to finish).

Would highly recommend this place.
Lovely Turkish kebab restaurant tried for the first time.

Lots of meats and soups and breads and dip ect to choose from.

The lamb fell off the bone and when combined with the aubergine soup /dip and wrapped up innthe lovely rustic flat breads was fantastic will be getting that again next time .

The lamb chops were meaty, soft and succulent

The rice is lovely and fluffy. the bread is wow. That bread is so chewy and tasty .

If possible I will give 0 star for the service. I noticed 4 staffs there. Nobody is dealing customers with a basic manners. Iam surprised how the owner got these kind of staffs. If one or two staffs in a shop are showing lack of manners we can understand that, but if all the staffs are dealing with the customers in a ridiculous manner how can we accept that?? They don't wish the customers. 'sorry, thank you, you're welcome, helo' these kind of words are not in their dictionary. The dishes was just awesome, ambience is above average. Another problem is they are charging more money from us. They charged £ 7/£ 8 extra from us. The owner either update your menu if the Price is increased or change your staff if they are charging more from the customers. If these are not changed that will effect your business, anyway your food was simply delicious. I think only the chefs are doing the job well.
Baba ghanoush was excellent and the kebabs were the best we have had in the UK and USA.

My go to restaurant in Liverpool. Have been many times and have never been disappointed with the service or the quality of food. The prices are beyond reasonable and the portion sizes are very generous. Definitely deserves more recognition as when we go it’s hardly busy even though it should be but I can’t complain about that. Everyone should give this a try it’s a bit away from the centre but worth the walk. Also gave a free cake for my birthday and was a very tasty cake.
Popped in here for a quick lunch after years of walking past thinking that smells great.

Welcomed by a smiling waiter upon entry and had our pick of the plush interior tables. Some really nice service choices such as loads of napkins and a free portion of delicious Lentil Soup as a starter. Coffee was rich and full-bodied.

Chose the chicken schwarma and didn't regret it. Delicious meat wrapped in a soft tortilla with loads of salad. Chili sauce provided had a decent kick as well. My friend got a lamb kebab that looked equally delicious.

The only downside, in my opinion, is the multiple huge TVs, which take away a little of the pleasant atmosphere for me.

I'm definitely planning a return visit for an evening meal as the menu looks fabulous. Good value food with a cracking flavour.
Great place to dine out. Affordable food cost. The taste is sooooo good. I had falafels, Hummus, Chicken Shawarma and Halawet El Jibn. All tasted sooo amazing. Falafel were nice and crispy. The dessert was OH SO GOOD!. I am surely going to visit this soon again.

We came here for a work Christmas meal, about 20 of us, the owner was so accommodating especially when we had a few drop out and few more join last minute! The food was delicious! They prepared starters for us of the chefs choice, our mains which everyone struggled to finish they were very generous portions and some gorgeous sharing desserts! Amazing staff also, really great place couldnt recommend more
Fantastic lamb kebab last night. Stopped on the way to a concert for an early dinner. Lovely food freshly cooked. Yummy 😋
A hidden gem! I wish I'd tried it sooner and I'll be back. Delicious food, very friendly staff and very good prices. I would highly recommend!
The food was absolutely amazing. The meats were cooked to perfection. The service was great. Would highly recommend this place.

Great halal place that is alcohol free.

Food was very nice and tasted fresh the only downside is the waiting staff seem very disinterested and I had to wait over 40 minutes for someone to take my order I can understand if the restaurant was busy but only 2 tables of 3 and over a 40 minute wait with 2 members off staff is unacceptable.

Mandi rice is just smoked rice it's not mandi rice. The baklava is old and tastes bad. The cashier is very unfriendly, he just kept doing other stuff and ignoring me when I tried to order at the counter and finally when I gave him my order he told me "sit down" like I was annoying him there was no "please". I even heard others telling him "smile a bit" and he said if you work here you wouldn't last a day....
Tried the arayes, shish taouk and kofta kebab. Everything was delish and well priced. Would definitely go back again just bear in mind that the service is a little slow

The place has renamed itself to The Palm, I loved the different options they had on the menu and tried the Lamb Kabsah that was amazing. The portion was really big and I look forward to returning there again. I noticed some other people ordered a nan and it looked HUGE!!
Nice experience dining as group at this restaurant.

Small cafe but plenty of seating for larger group. Accommodating owners and staff. Gave us set menu with variety of starters and main dishes.

Their hummus is divine and really delicious with their pitta. Nice falafel and traditional shawarma wrap too. However, for main course would recommend mixed grill as best option for value, taste and experience for dining in larger group.

A great dining experience for money overall (paid about £20 per head).
Had a catch up with a group of friends. Between 20 of us we ordered 4 of the family shared platters. The food was outstanding, fresh, flavoursome, and size of the portions was very generous. Service was friendly and professional. Will be returning with friends and family soon. Would recommend this hidden gem👌

We visited this place and we loved it. The food was very tasty and good service. We had chicken, mussaka, chips, rice, salad, everything was very good. It's healthy food, which I appreciate. Reminds me of homemade food, I recommend this place.

We really like that the place was clean and higenic as well.
Good food. The staff are friendly. The place is nice and clean. The toilet is clean.
The sheesh taouk was excellent.
Food is Halal as per their website.

Absolutely fantastic first impression of Turkish cuisine. We had the lunch set menu (1 starter + 1 main course for £12.99, served with free savory breads) and turkish tea. The main dish portion was huge and delicious (Highly recommend their 'Kuzu Incik' lamb shank). The staff were really nice and attentive, they knew quickly when we had a request and was able to take care of it in no time. The price was reasonable & the food was halal too :)

Was stopped by there on the way back to drive to South. Welcoming by friendly and helpful staff 👍. Needed to quick bite for long drive, it was good experience with food except the sides . Ordered mix grill. Meat was tastefully and delicious . Not much waiting for that as the place was not crowded once arrived. They can work more with sides like more breads and salads will be good for eating in. Have enough tables in terms of the place space, no table service but tables are clean and tidy most of the time. They can work with fuzzy drinks as well as they have basic one that they can add more options. Also side sauces needed to be on the table once eating in. At the end food mainly tastefully and enough to satisfy your appetite. Would visit again if I get around. Foods are mainly from middle eastern cousin.

Decent food but found a used toothpick in my food.

This restaurant is located in the centre of Bold Street, a short walk from Central Station.

There is plenty of seating available for groups. The waitresses were friendly and welcomed me and my group to available seats. However, they did not give us the lunch menus and only the main menu. I was fortunate enough to notice the lunch menu at the store window and ask for it. Unfortunately I discovered a used toothpick (one that is used for the complimentary Turkish Delight when you receive the receipt) with the bread that I received. I didn’t bring it to the waitress’ attention at the time because the bread was complimentary but upon writing this review I thought I needed to mention it. The waitresses either had an off day or seemed to be not well trained for quality control.

I ordered the soup of the day and chicken shish from the lunch menu which costs £12.99. The soup was a typical lentil soup and no complaints there and the chicken shish was nice, tender and seasoned well, the rice goes well to accompany the chicken.

Overall, the food was decent but I think it’s a bit pricey if it wasn’t for the lunch menu price of £12.99. The staff were nice but the overall service, quality control was poor.

This restaurant is not suitable for family or kids
The noisy music with very high despite we asked the waitress to turn down the music 🎶 volume
Very over priced
Quality of drink was poor
Went last week for dinner. Food was really nice and filling. Prices are good too for what you get. We had the £13.99 2 course menu. Both lamb dishes. The star of the meal was the okra soup... Had a bit of trouble with bank transfer because the card machine was broken. Would prefer if we were told before dining. Other than that, food were great and staff were decent.

Never been to this eatery before .. had an amazing experience, seated promptly. Walked past all the meats and salads on offer. Restaurant is clean, modern. Only downside for me personally was the loo was downstairs. But I just took my time on the stairs. The staff were very attentive and the amazing food came out quickly. I paid £20.00 for a main and a drink and a small tip. I was sat with friends on a table of 6 all food came together, and everyone raved about the food ♡ .. so much so, I'm going back there next week. 5☆ experience

This was my worst experience. They really insulted my conscience. I asked them for burgers and they brought me chicken burgers. I came across these photos after the change and it is really disgusting.
When I told the manager why I had to pay for12 pound, I left without eating my own food. And he just took the money from me, I will definitely complain

Nice clean dining area. Staff was polite and helpful. The food was fresh and tasted nice. We got extra bread in the price which was good. Having eaten in many different places I'm familiar with prices and so have to say the main course here was more like a pricey mixed grill starter, we just expected a lot more meat for £15. What we did get though was a big bowl of nice salad. Service was quick but it was relatively quiet. So if they increased portions this could be a pretty decent place.

It is wonderful, the food is delicious and tasty with good price (value for money 💰).
I have not tried sitting there, I do orders mostly, it does arrive quickly and hot 🔥🔥
It is halal for people who are seeking for Halal food.
Excellent experience, I do recommend it ❤️
Cosy place with nice music, very friendly waiter and amazing food. I had a huge chicken wrap but there's also a lot of vegetarian options that are just delicious. No matter how full you feel - desserts are the must :)

We went twice to this. We went for dinner and then lunch the next day.
The atmosphere is nice and everything looks nice and clean.

For dinner they didn't have half of the menu. We finally ordered something they had and it was great. We had meat with rice. The meat wasn't 100% as it was rib so was full of bones and fat. Overall it was ok and better than nothing.

For lunch we got Fahsah which was nice but the waiter forgot to ask us for bread. And they gave us the starter after they gave us the main menu.

The menu prices were not the same as the actual prices. They said the meat has increased and thus the process increased but they hadn't changed the menu.

The staff were great and nice but they should definitely change the menu.

Would recommend only if you're desperate for Yemeni food.
