We ate outside in the twinkly lights, which was very nice (also for the mosquitoes). Our server was very kind but the maitre d' (some accent, maybe French) was snooty and dismissive. It took a while to get the food out.
First, we got the fried zucchini, and it was frankly very cold. It also lacked salt.
Then we had what was described as spaghetti with beef tartare and truffle. There were maybe two pieces of truffle and honestly it tasted like mushroom and a teeny weeny bit of beef bits sprinkled on top. The spaghetti itself was tasty but this felt like false advertising. I mean, look at the picture!!
The grilled platter for two arrived sizzling and was yummy, though the kabobs were decidedly dry and the roasted potatoes were mealy.
Lemon gelato and tiramisu were tasty.
Not sure I'd go back while on vacation next time.... maybe just for the meat platter and fries.

Excellent restaurant placé dans le ghetto de Venise. Mixte de viandes et de légumes, tiramisu et verre de vin rouge, le trio gagnant. Et en plus le personnel est très très sympathique très accueillant, très souriant et parle Francais. Un grand merci aux deux personnes qui se sont très bien occupé de nous Tatch et Matteo.

Très bel accueil à l’arrivée. Serveur francophone qui est un grand plus. Large choix d’entrées, plats et desserts. Belle carte des vins. Cuisson de la viande parfaite.
Nous avons passé un excellent moment dans un ce restaurant très bien décoré.

Je recommande ce restaurant, hyper bien situé, à côté de l’hôtel Casher de Venise.
Nous avons pris une épaule d’agneau et un rôti de veau, que nous n’avons pas pu terminer tellement les plats étaient copieux (et délicieux)
Le vin qu’on nous a proposé était aussi très agréable.
Service au top, avec un petit + pour Tatch qui parle français et a été très agréable durant tout notre repas.

It is a disappointment, for sure. At the beginning we liked the decor and atmosphere but food was a disaster! We ordered the mixed grill, it’s not as presented to other tables (don’t know why), lack of herbs & lemon. And then the meat, especially lamb & chicken have awful taste feels like went bad already long time ago. Expensive but not worth the price, don’t come here for meat.
Everything was perfect, my husband and I loved the food, the ambiance, and the staff (they’re super helpful, friendly, engaging, and professional). This is the second branch of Ba’ghetto that we have been in and I’m very impressed with their food.
We had a group of 6 people and no one liked the food. it was inedible. the staff and the restaurant were nice but for something that looks so nice it was disgusting. we got a refund on one dish that was completely uneaten. It also took an hour for us to get our food. overall we had a terrible experience. In the all green picture, if you look closely you will see 25 euros worth of watery fish under the basil leaf. Some of our dishes I don’t take pictures because they were not picture worthy. We also ordered a bruschetta but after seeing pictures online from other reviews thank goodness they didn’t give us our full order.
