I recently visited Miznon in Melbourne during a trip with friends, and it lived up to all the hype. The ‘Pita with a Bone and Deep Satisfaction’ was absolutely unique and flavorful—definitely a must-try. The atmosphere is lively, and the restaurant is popular with both locals and tourists alike. Whether you’re looking for a quick bite or a memorable dining experience, Miznon delivers on both. Highly recommend if you’re in Melbourne and craving something truly different!

Did the feed me option, there's a lot of food! Food is good but I wasn't wowwed by it and not sure of any unique Armenian flavours to be honest so it didn't stand out to me

It's 3 star compared to other fine dining places in Melbourne, it's a good experience and well put together otherwise

I have wanted to go to Miznon for a few years and finally had the chance with my son.
Arrived at around 7pm on Friday 11 OCT and was offered a seat at the bar (my son is 13 so probably not approved) or outside which was kinda chilly.

We could see a great table for two on the second floor but were sent to the group tables on the third floor with a note from the girl who took us there to just make a spot at the end of the big table. I will accept this (perhaps we didn’t have the hip style that they were after if viewed from the street)🤣.

Ordered the Chicken schnitzel and the beef brisket pita, a wine for me and a lemon lime and bitters for the teen on the app and waited rather excitedly. Drinks plopped down and food soon to follow. Can only assume that the waitress was not able to communicate as she simply turned and walked away.

Beef brisket pita…..excellent (will try and replicate this at home with the knowledge that I will fail in a significant manner)
Chicken Schnitzel….overcooked on the edges and dry and gelatinous in the middle….or as some would say, raw.

Inattentive staff meant we simply left the undercooked portion, had the last sips of our drinks and left.
I did say something as we left but just got a throwaway sorry.

Now, just a side note, absolutely not a prude (I actually work for an iconic Australian fashion brand as a stylist) but please please please ask your staff to wear something that is perhaps a wee bit longer that a bralet and if she could do her pants up before she walked up the stairs ( was doing them up whilst taking us up with what looked like a shoelace, that would be fab.
I will say, I totally loved her little brown shoes, but that was the only thing that we loved.

Its secluded in a small alleyway in Melbourne CBD. The food was okayish and at a higher price point. However ambience was good and service was also very good. Its a small place so I would suggest booking in advance.

The venue was quite hidden. It was located down an alley and surprisingly quite big once you step inside. It has a dimmed ambience, so the lighting wasn't great for photos but that didn't take away from the whole experience. The food was really good. My favourite dish was crab dumpling and baklava. The place can accommodate groups and it would also be a nice place for a romantic dinner. Recommend to book.

Delicious food, in particular, loved the hummus and the lamb ribs and the carrots! Second time I’ve been to this restaurant, although the last time was quite a few years ago. The service was great and we had a fun night dining in here.

I was happy with the experience, just not blown away. All of the food was tasty, however the serving sizes were a on the smaller size relative to the portions.
Service was timely, and the staff was polite.
We ordered a couple of Pita's Lamb + seafood), the cauliflower, and a bag of meat.
I'd say the pitas were great, filled nicely with ingredients, tasty, and fried well. The Cauliflower wasn't for me (but other people recommend it), and the bag of meat was just that- meat and onions (which was pricey for the portion).

Overall, I'd recommend you give Miznon a go if you're looking for an upgrade to the classic Mediterranean dining experience.

I feel like this could be overrated? Could be. Or I just ordered wrong. I got the schnitzel, cauliflower, and meat bag. The schnitzel was okay. Basic schnitzel. The meat bag was really good in falvor, but it was too hard to eat. The meat was extremely overcooked. I informed the server of this but didn’t offer to replace the food or apologize. The cauliflower was great. It was fun and the charred parts were delicious.

The ambiance was nice and cozy too. Unfortunately, didn’t get to sit by the kitchen area. Will i come back? Maybe. But not too hyped about it. Feels overrated imho.

I was a bit unsure if I should leave a review at all because the service was top notch. That being said, the food itself was a let down. I was so excited to try the schnitzel stuffed with mashed potato (Schnitzel Malka) as it sounds amazing but it did not deliver sadly.

The first attempt was completely pink and raw inside. I pointed this out to staff and apologies were given. I understand that sometimes this happens but surely you can stick a thermometer in and realise that your chicken is not cooked. In any case, staff were super nice and a random bowl of stuff (I think it’s feekah salad) was given as an apology. Now that salad? Amazing. Zingy, spicy, flavourful, fresh! Why isn’t that on the menu?

The second attempt was overcooked and burnt black in spots. The chicken was very dry and stringy with inedible edges. I will say, the combo of mustard, sourkraut, and schnitty? Genius. Sadly the kraut and mustard were actually the only way I got through this dish.

When the salad that isn’t on the menu is better than the actual thing you paid $34 for, that’s not a good sign. Would I come back? No. Would I bring friends here? Also no.

Sorry! Lovely staff and atmosphere but the food is a let down.

Food was delicious. Went with work colleagues and the portion sizes for the price are a bit questionable. The carpaccio that I ordered was fine and would happily pay what I did again but would have been unhappy to pay the $26 that my colleague paid for a small bag of chips, chicken and salad (all within the same small bag)

Atmosphere was great, servers were attentive and aside from portion sizing, fantastic place.

If you come for the first time, I would recommend leave it to chef. I ordered the four course for dinner and it was great. The portion is generous, more than enough for one pp and I had the chance to try their signature dishes. I love the Hommus a lot and the beef ribs. The roasted grapes added additional flavour to the meat. Sweetness is not my favourite taste but this time I enjoyed it a lot.

It was our first time trying Mediterranean Israeli food and it was AMAZING.
We ordered the rotisserie chicken pita, Minute steak pita, Wagyu burger pita, their signature cauliflower and the roasted eggplant with tahini, chickpeas and lamb meatballs. The bread was so nice and fluffy and cauliflower was so nicely roasted and flavourful. The only thing we liked about the eggplant dish was the lamb meatballs as everything else had no flavour and was a pile of mush.
But they have so many vegetarian options and would love to come back try other dishes from their menu!
Overall, it was a good experience. Baked cauliflower is fun to try. The charcoal outer layer tastes hearty. Staff are very friendly. This place is a bit touristy, although the food is overall good but the serving size is quite small for the price we paid.

Amazing little cozy restaurant. Order lamb shoulder very affordable. We ordered lamb shoulder that came with two sides - for two.
We could it finished it, was delicious 😋
The coffee with cardamom was outstanding, everything was worth every dollar we spend ❤️
It was our second time around, first time we had Sward Fish that was cooked to perfection!
Really good food. Manti was amazing, and so was Humus. King fish was also very good. Overall, food was really nice, coupled with great service from Gil, who made it even better by being understanding and flexible. Food was also served in a timely manner, which was great. Nice Fusion food.
We had a great experience at Sezar! The food was exceptional and it was actually quite good value for the 4 course meal, we couldnt finish it and had to take some home with us. The only drawback is that we ordered some cocktails that never came, so theres one area for improvement. Overall highly recommend still!
