I visited to drop off clothes, but unfortunately, the staff was not very helpful. I wasn’t aware that they only accept brand-new clothing with tags, and instead of assisting further, they directed me to a different location. It would have been nice if this policy was communicated clearly upfront or if the staff had offered better guidance. Disappointing experience overall.
The Stapleton corp is a great social service for the public.
Great woman leader at the Salvation Army post and (church). She took her time, energy and effort with Christian love and listened to me. Plus, she gave me encouragement.

I went to leave some food and clothing.

I was part of a team of muralists working over a year on a project at St. John’s University in Staten Island, where many parts of my team bipoc mostly weren’t paid, credited or promoted on their social media. Let alone invited to the final unveiling. After months of being left in the dark, by their lead instructor Dylan, who claimed “we are postponing our painting / planning committee due to coivd-19” in which many of us waited patiently, and despite following up monthly, wasn’t informed of final stages, Cynthia, claimed “I don’t give credit for peoples ideas” which is the whole point of brainstorming, planning & implementation sessions which happened bi-monthly for over a half a year. A non profit, that is kinda for-profit, and leaves the public hanging, also isn’t open half the time, and makes you wonder 💭 what good does the ngo actually commit too? Maybe the heart, leadership and empathy died out when the founder has passed, like any movements that fail after their genuine leaders are gone!

The space is amazing, so much beautiful art. The rap battle that was held there was perfect for the space as well.
The environment feels like a creative melting pot of ideas and the staff made me feel comfortable and welcomed. The space is a great event space and also is a major player in aiding the building of artistry of any kind. I started volunteering there and have been happy ever since.
Very vibrant and interesting art displayed throughout the studio. Great place to shoot a video or throw an event! It's a sight you must see!
Beautiful Church, peaceful. Birds 🐦, crickets.
Nice place to come, think and pray 🙏🏻
Great place to be...

Amazing graffiti! Unique. Cool courtyard. Good DJ. Owner was really nice and is very involved with the community.
This is the first time that I went to the NYC Arts Cypher and it's very cool and artwork is everywhere inside the place and very entertaining. I can't wait to come again soon.
EXTREMELY Friendly staff very simple soup kitchen .But make sure to check upstairs for their pantry they give out ALOT of expensive items like 2lbs if pistachios for example
This is a wonderful origination. They gave my son two wonderful Christmas gifts and he loves them. Thank you to everyone who works there.

Zoomed to learn about making a mural. Met some good people but was never given closure. I hope to see all the work we put in come to something.
I love this place, staff is great 👍 going to miss the lady who is retiring. Enjoy your retirement you deserve it.
I had the pleasure of meeting and working with Ms. Anne-Marie Jones in the Staten island Catholic charities office. Ms.Jones was very patient, reliable, understanding, helpful, and just a joy to talk to. She is one of the best case managers that I have come across.

Thank You
Ms.Jones
May God bless you always 🙏
The lady in the front office is very nice and has a good spirit. She made me feel very comfortable about coming and asking for help for my family. I recommend this place I you need any help with food and other services.
Great place. Call for appointment. Will take most small garbage bag donations since this is a church/food pantry, not a donation center. So space is limited
I think it is outrageous that people who are needy or incompetent are not being helped but rather turned away and told to come back with proof that they are incompetent and needy! If they weren't incompetent and needy they would not be at your doorstep needing help! Just help those in need! Isn't that what Salvation army used to be all about?! Oh how the mighty have fallen! RIP Salvation Army, you have become worse than the government HRA/EBT office! No joke, they require these people to show proof of residency/ID/yes, even proof they live alone or with others! Now what incompetent people do you know who can do this? No wonder crime is up! Download the app Citizen and see how much crime is going on around you right this mintue! (It's free in the app store)
People in the neighborhoodghborhood sometimes need help & they r willing & giving!😃💥
When I needed help with food they were there the people are always so nice and helpful.
My wife and I were at Lemon Creek around 6:30pm this evening taking pictures of the moon. After leaving the parking lot I made a wrong turn and looked for the next street -- which happened to be the entrance to your church. The road was a little narrow so I drove down to the parking lot to make a u-turn. There was a black SUV blocking the entrance so I drove down to the next lot [as my wife also noticed how pretty the church was lit and wanted to take a photo]. The SUV then pulled behind us with lights flashing and very rudely said "what are you doing here". I explained we were making a u-turn and he said again very rudely "get out of here". I thanked him (sarcastically) for being so respectful. He then gestured aggressively and told me to get out. This type of behavior is unacceptable.
Stay far away from the Italian festival that they have there! They say "30" vendors will be present when in reality there were about a handful with at least 5 being some kind of Congressman looking for votes! Me my wife and 1yr old daughter ate from a gyro stand which was the only gyro stand there and it was the worst gyro I've eaten by far! The white sauce "tzatziki " was definitely melted provolone cheese! $10 for a gyro the size of my 1yr old daughter's sneakers! There are no seats to sit when there is about 2 acres of grass with nothing on them! Stay away from the Italian festival that they have on their property!

I just so happened to be looking at my surroundings as I was urban exploring on my bike and there were so many murals to look at. These local artists transformed this direlect block into an urban street museum of great pieces.
I wish they accepted canned food donations. Project Hospitality 5 blocks north on Bay Street, however, has a food pantry and were happy to take my donation.
I LIKE PROJECT HOSPITALITY , BECAUSE THEY HELP THE NEEDY , THE HOMELESS , THEY SERVE LUNCH ( 2 ) TIMES A WEEK N (1 ) A MONTH THEY GIVE FOOD . LIKE I SAID THEY R GREAT...
