I’m only here to tell the world about Michelle C. I believe it said Cortes my eyes aren’t great. THIS LADY is a breath of fresh air, very patient, very respectful especially given that these places ( HRA, department of labor etc ) the staff are usually very rude and impatient. She’s everything these offices should be, I’m unsure what her job title is but she’s a BEAST handling large crowds while remaining very sweet and patient. You can’t tell me she doesn’t love her job! She deserves her flowers and that’s what I came here to give her 💐
The city of New York does not care to assist anybody that is in need. They are not even decent enough to hire people that actually want to be part of making New York a better place to live phone lines do not work. They don’t allow you to go in the building without an appointment when you do have an appointment the people that work there feel that they’re better than you. Everything in their power to make you feel that you are lower than them because of the position that they take when you ask to speak to the manager apologize to you they do not train their workers to treat the community with much respect as human beings. We all have issues in our life and having a grown adult treat you like your less than them with all the other issues we have living in New York I think is completely unfair. Everybody here is stressed. Everybody’s trying to make a quality in life, and everybody puts everybody down for doing the exactly same thing which I will never understand most are not responsible the position that we are put in and every government body and services that are issued to New Yorkers when you’re done using their service, you can’t help but feel like a lowlife because they let you know to your face that you are a lowlife that you are low income, and that you are less of a human being there is something that needs to be done about the system and the workers that take part and helping New Yorkers every single day you are the problem and the reason why you most New Yorkers have depression and stress because when we have help, we can’t even go to a positive system where they will help people of timely fashion. This needs to be addressed and taken care of, and the bodies of government need to concentrate on the type of service that people are getting meanwhile, immigrants are getting all the help they need at a rapid pace in the timely fashion that they need and it is just completely unfair, can someone please professional take care of these issues that we are having so that we can live a better quality of life overall
The worst service. Nobody answers the phone. Their is no way the phones are busy all day everyday. The workers are just lazy and don't wanna do there job.
I came to this location to accompany my bf who was having trouble filing an unemployment claim. The staff for the unemployment were phenomenal. It was refreshing to see a team of people really trying to help others in their time of need with no attitude or rude behavior when folks are already frustrated. We spoke with Michelle and other staff members. They were all so helpful. My bf was on the phone for 40 mins only to have them transfer him and they hung up. Michelle asked what happened and he explained she didn’t want him to leave feeling like nothing was accomplished so she sent an email on his behalf. I just wanted to take the time and write this to give credit to a team who truly deserve it.
I have been calling and calling to finish filing my claim. I get through and they are always busy, and it hangs up. Going in-person because it's very frustrating. They don't even put you on hold and ask if you would like a call back like HRA does.
If I can give this place zero stars I would they need to hire new workers with great attitude the people that work here are so disrespectful they talk over u and they don’t allow u to explain the full issue and they waste your time making it very hard for you I don’t understand how they can work here just because people are in need of help don’t mean u can treat us like this these workers need to get fired ! ASAP i didn’t argue with anyone greeted the lady at customer service with a good morning and she had a nasty attitude this is sad we have to do better !
Been going here for 4 months stright every week and no one seems to do there job right all they keep saying is we are under staff and never gets the job done something so simple they make so complicated if I can go to another center to fix the issue I would cause coming here is a waist of my time
When to apply in person had all documents with me ,the on front Medicaid line was very unprofessional, she ask me some questions even she had the apply my income is very low,I have health problems need my medication are on hold at pharmacy with a big bill, her answer to me was they don't care about nobody health condition is the income, they are different way to talk to customers no professional
I have been to this location more than once. My experience has been good. Generally in and out. While I don't see huge smiles from the staff, I have been treated cordially and with respect. I try to be pleasant when I visit and that is the key. I do struggle trying to reach the agency by phone as no matter what day or time the call is prematurely disconnected as "all agent are busy". While this is wrong and shouldn't be allowed, I don't blame the staff at the site.
It was fast and the young ladies behind were very kind and resourceful. Sometimes people go in and have bad experiences but it’s normal, and at times they have so much workload that it is understandable they try their best and we just have to treat everyone with respect to get respect
Guys don’t call, just pop up ! No appointment needed. They will put u on the phone with someone, they answer the call from them. Been waiting for two month for something even a call but nothing so I went in, to find out it was an id me issue someone there was able to help set it up. Bring your documents so you can do it all at once. All done in 20 mins. Just a heads up no Wifi in that building.
Workers are giving ppl the run around. This site has not improved since my last active case with them. It’s been 7 years and they have the same old tired workers, giving people the worst reasons for not receiving help. Be prepared no matter how proper and well articulate you are, they are extremely sneaky. Im still waiting on archives requested 2 weeks ago. Misinforming of paperwork ready but I cannot retrieve without the worker who requested it. Center states they don’t know workers work schedule. Apparently she hasn’t been to work this whole week.
I had an excellent experience with the medicaid office at this location. Ms Nunez and her team were very helpful and patient. I had an issue with my mom's services almost being cancelled and they were able to explain and help me resolve issue. Ms Nunez and her team were very helpful and professional, you don't always get this service in other places.
I’ve applied since January. I’ve been claim for 8 weeks going on 9 weeks and I still haven’t received a single deposit. I keep calling and the automated system will say they’re too busy and hang up. I’m behind on all my bills and you legit cannot reach them they answer once in a blue moon and when they do they do not help at all they say anything to get off the phone fast. What is going on? This is so unprofessional!!!!!!
No long lines, which is virtually unheard of in these kinds of establishments. Probably thanks to Covoid.

Security & staff seemed friendly enough.
It's not bad most people don't like to go there it's better than some other offices but I try not to have to go there unless it's an emergency or they ask me to come in it can be very busy at times and then it can be not very busy it's different for everyone
They helped me so much
Stay clear of these 3 guys that are outside of this office building. I am sure they are stealing identities and social security numbers. I applied for this tablet they had outside and the Spanish guy tells me oh I just checked your credit you don’t qualify. I said I thought it goes by your case not your credit score. Plus has my social security number and took a picture of my ID on his personal cellphone. I know he’s not supposed to do that. My friend just so happened to take a picture of the guy. It’s 3 guys that we’re doing this. They might be opening up credit cards with all the customers personal information. Be careful out here.

Worst HRA in the Bronx, don't go here 👎 But if you do, switch to 300 Canal Place. It's much better, as far as the staff to help you 👍
I don't usually have issues with the workers, but if you get rude of course both parties will experience an ego trip. Therefore, I stay clear of this and so am respectful to rwcei be the same treatment. At times these workers do become irritated because of another client and might take it out on someone else. But a kind word goes a long way to break the ice of frustration.
Horrible service I mean you get treated as if you don’t have goals align for your future. I’ve always worked and have never received public assistance but I chose to go back to school full time to finish my education faster after 12 years and went into this office expecting atleast eye contact from employees and didn’t even get that as we interviewed so sad. I bet if I’m a Doctor and she comes in with a concern and I don’t acknowledge her issue she’ll report me. Can’t wait to finish school just so I don’t get treated unfairly!!!
