The social security office recommended this place to my mom to see if she can get help for part B premium. I thought it was a public facility but it seems to be a private. You think you are going to get assistance with the government but it is also a private where they want to force you to sign up for their product and if you do not sign up with them for their part C premium they won’t help with the public portion of assistance. Terrible, intimidating and forceful. The president was Emiro was upset that we didn’t want to choose his services but just wanted to know if she qualified for a monthly assistance for Medicare. He was forcing her to sign up for Medicaid. When I asked questions he was defensive. Not a good place to go.

Honestly, why even bother having this “agency”?! It’s just so incredibly sad how pathetic it is. I get that there are people taking advantage, & scamming the system, but that does not make it ok to treat the ones HONESTLY needing help like the bad guys. My heart breaks for the people that don’t have a support system. Apparently, this is a national problem. Just sad.

I've been tying to reach them over 10 days. A total of 12 hours and counting on the phone just waiting for someone to pick up. Finally, someone pick up to only hang up on me as if they didn't hear me on the other end. Last 3 conversations were had with rude, dismissive women. The worst part is that they will turn around and deny me because "I did not contact them" or "verify information". I am so over the departments unprofessionalism.

Phone Employees are disrespectful I called 8 times and they kept saying they couldn’t hear me when clearly I could hear myself on speaker and them giggling !!!! There are people that need serious of help !!! I see why most people in Florida have serious health issues, stds, and homelessness . Due too the unprofessionalism of their employees , phone calls need too be recordered/evaluated for both safety purposes, and look into the behaviors of the employees

Why is this office here?!!! People "working" there are getting paid to do nothing while people in need get the runaround. This location does nothing but tell us to go somewhere else!! I want to know why this office is here!!!! I will contact local news to answer my question!!

This is unacceptable this customer service this department have. We go there to get help with our kids an this nasty guy who was helping us. Didn't want to help, we tried to give him the paper work for our son, becouse we as a parents are not citizens, but my son is citizens and he has all the rights to get help.
As a part of the government you shouldn't have this person working on this department.
We deserve better treatment for this department.

I am very upset with DCF and how terrible they are. They took away my Medicaid and I’m a kidney transplant patient. I now have no medication and no health insurance. They never answer the phone.

I wish u could rate it a zero I’m from nyc and never encountered someone as rude as the man EMILIO!!!! the fact he’s still able to work there and all these reviews are based on him being rude and nasty to people is mind bothering I worked as a receptionist and never was I able to treat people like that and get away with it I hope his higher ups see this and remove him but now I know why that place is always empty.. kind you he kicked us out saying we weee giving him attitude when all I was trying to do was explain to him my user name and password and I’m pregnant so if he speaks to me like that I can’t imagine how he treats others he really needs to be fired asap!!!

If I could rate 0, I definitely would. I would love a phone call, or email from whoever supervised Emilio. I would love his full name and license number because of how discriminating he is to customers that come to that location. I went to the location to get information on how i can renovate my baby's mwdicaid and he was nasty, and rude. He has 0 customer service attitude. I have been a supervisor, and manager, and I would never tolerate this type of attitude. He needs to be fired as soon as possible. This was the worst experience anyone could ever experience. If he does not want to work, he can go find another job. Hopefully this review can be read by his supervisor. I have read other reviews and people have the same opinion than me.

I have applied four times. On my third time of calling numerous of times I final get to talking to a specialist who did my interview, after completing it, she had everything is good, no further info was needed and I was approved. The very next day I was denied due to all ready receiving food stamps and Medicaid services. Which obviously if I'm applying and having an interview done how could I already have services. I haven't had food stamps since November 2022. I can never get a hold of anyone. And the person that they told me to call for my interview her mailbox is full and she never answers. So I applied for a fourth time and I've tried to call several times and no one answered. Thank goodness cuz I was about to go to Robinson Street because I wasn't getting a hold of anyone. So I don't know what to do and my family is in need of food and medical coverage. There's something wrong with their system. And they need to fix it as soon as possible cuz there's a lot of families that are going without these needs. It's sad to say and they can't get their system straight. How can I already have assistance they can look and see that I've never received anything at all.

Thank goodness I read the recent reviews because I was about to visit this center tomorrow morning due to the lack of care in renewing my medicaid. My renewal was due before June 15, I sent in all my documents on May 24th where my account says the documents were uploaded and processed to only get an email saying my account was inactive tried calling the Medicaid Help number, it took over an hour to get anyone on the phone only to have them hang up on me twice mind you each phone call took an hour. I called a third time and Explained to them that I did everything they asked before June 15th to have them tell me they don't see my renewal application there's been a glitch in the system and that i would have to redo it however my portal won't let me and I explained that to them they proceed to tell me that I need to print out a new form and mail it in. Pretty sad families suffer due to their failed website, their failure to update the new service center address online, and overall the lack of care. Choose a different job if you don't care to make a difference.

It is absolutely ridiculous how they're beyond slow on everything. Even though I've done MULTIPLE renewal/reported changes well before my renewal date, not a peep from them nor further instruction. Can't get through to anyone. We now no longer have health coverage because they're so inept. I couldn't get my thyroid medication prescription today because I couldn't afford to get it. This place is an absolute joke!!!

I moved here from Colorado Springs at the beginning of the year and i applied for both Medicaid and food stamps. Since i had to give those very things up in Colorado or they wouldn't approve me for anything here i was finally able to get food Stamps but the Medicaid part is taking forever...... It's so weird to me that back in Colorado it didn't take several months and so much paperwork to get both Medicaid and food stamps yet here in Florida they take their sweet time even though they have all the information that they need plus they could call Colorado Medicaid to get all my information. I need medical help because i was seeing certain specialists for my conditions i don't know what else to do.

My mother went to the location to assist my father who has Alzheimer’s and he was nasty, and rude. I have been a supervisor, and manager, and I would never tolerate this type of attitude, from one of my employees and he needs to be reprimanded. This was the worst experience anyone could ever experience. If you do not want to work, you can go find another job. No one is forced to work. My mother simply wanted to fax some documents for Medicaid as requested, had everything in order and he would not let her get one word in. Stated she was missing some items, when she tried to explain to him that she had the information but that he did not let her give it to him, he immediately began to use higher tone of voice, told her he was not going to fax anything for her and that her attitude was bad. She began to ask what did she do and he just yelled at her. Began to tell her to get out, and she began to ask for help as he was being so rude. He told her this is a private property and nothing could be done to her. I would love to continue to spread the word through Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Snapchat, to NEVER go to this location and get law enforcement involved.
