Don't go to DMV before you make an appointment, or they won't let you in, I made an appointment at 12.45 pm and all they cared about is your name in their list. Spent 45 minutes inside waiting while registering the vehicle didn't take more than 5 minutes. Workers on the window were knowledgeable and they're doing their job perfectly. Again don't go before making appointment.

Well we all know how it is to go to the DMV! Had appointment didn't make a difference! The appointment was irrelevant! Employees were NASTY!! Tried to nice bomb them but that didn't work either! Could Yu believe it

Orderly businesslike professional and the caring ear is there. It is banging against the "I want what I want!!" they do it at the top of their game. When the day is over you realize what's right is right. Kudos to them, who have to handle people from all cultures fortunately they handle some things other offices dont which keeps down the definite crazy at other facilities which are not quite so tuned to the selfishness of people.

Appreciate this new process. Although the parking is an issue. 3 easy steps to a successful trip to mvc in JC. 1) appointment, 2)parking 3) documents in order. I was in and out in 2mins.

NJMVC works more quickly and efficiently with appointments. However, NJ split up services causing a ridiculous 1 month wait for DL renewal unless you drive to cape may. This office in Jersey City, as with half of the offices only has limited services (vehicles) and no licensing or ID services. Also suspension restorations paid online take more than 3 weeks to hit the computers in this MVC office. Made two appts. and was turned away both times as their computer system was not updated 2 weeks and 3 weeks after $100 paid online.

I had to go to the mvc although you need to have an appointment now. It was the best experience I've ever had at the mvc. I was in and out in under 15 minutes.

Due the COVID situation there’re doing just TILE AND REGISTRATION. I got there 7am yesterday 10/15 around 57 people in front of me already; and got all done by 10:30. I recommend you to fill all the papers online on DMV website for transfers bring insurance papers and tile filled to make things faster for you and the workers.
Explaining the process:
- Get there early;
- First 15 people I’ll be attend shortly due the capacity inside;
- Follow the steps and all done ✔️

Had to check on my driving status, after being told in a letter that a $50 fee assessed by NY (for changing insurances and not notifying them "in time" - under 6 mos) when I moved to NJ was going to suspend my license, if not remedied. And since I moved, I never got the letter from NY. Wish you could pay/download your drivers abstract from the website, as in other states. Spent HOURS and HOURS on hold over the phone, only to be told they couldn't tell me. Finally, only a few locations deal with possible suspensions issues. So after visiting another location (and standing in line for 15 mins before they asked my reason for visiting), ended up here (the ubers have now added up). Turns out, I was in the clear. But to had to travel to 2 locations, during Covid, without driving to get resolution in less than a min. So DISORGANIZED and UNSAFE! Only upside was that I DIDN'T need to "take a number" for line placement outside to address a suspension issue, and the line inside was short and took 10 mins total. There was a distanced sitting area, too. But let them know your business before assuming you have to stand in the line.
