I don't know why some comments are so mean and picky about them 'do not have permanent show'. This museum has pretty nicely curated shows with decent quality all the time through the year with a ticket cost less than a-cup-of-coffee. I would say that because I know them very well for years, both as an audience and a workmate: this is one of the most influential museums during I grew up, and I also worked as a coworker with them before (in a different museum) after I decide to become an artist and wanted to know about the art system.
Some of their shows are definitely worth checking out if you interest in visual art and design. This is not a commercial art gallery or historic museum, please don't take this wrong and feel disappointed by their “the wrong collection” - It is more of a contemporary museum of design and visual arts works (about half and a half, domestic and international artists ). Also as they known as a very early (maybe the first?) design and newer media focus museum in China.

原来是旁边华侨城洲际大酒店的洗衣房，后来改建活化成了一个美术馆，虽然地方小，但是很漂亮，去到的时候正在举办与设计和传统文化保育相关的展览，感觉挺新鲜的。
It’s a small gallery featuring a few pieces of traditional chinese art. The location is difficult to get to, however it’s a nice place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city.
小而精致的美术馆。没有常展只有特展，题材趋向先锋艺术，独特设计，工业，新技术等。相较于内地一般美术馆多以绘画工艺品等传统艺术为重，算是比较有特点的。展览收费较低，但是内部基本没有服务。

A small museum with no permanent exhibition. Shows and events held there in a period of time, which were mostly contemporary.
There were a few artistic places nearby, you could link them and easily spend a day in that neighbourhood.

比较小的美术馆。当天刚好碰到本地油画家在现场，原来是在那里举办个人油画展。
外觀適合拍照，裡面就不一定了。
I enjoyed walking through this museum. The artwork varies in its style and quality, but overall it was enjoyable. Free and air conditioned!
Well designed building, but the paintings hung there aren't all that great. There are good exhibitions on the first floor from time to time.
