Beautiful venue to view local and regional artist work. We stopped by during an exhibit opening and at least a couple of the artist were there mingling with folks. We were so impressed with the venue! It was modern, yet reflected natural surroundings of the beauty of the Brown County area.
Visited on a Saturday at open. Easy parking right next to the museum. Friendly staff and easy to browse galleries. The kids area on the second floor was a hit for our family. We'll be back without our kids to spend additional time browsing the exhibits. The self-serve lockers are nice and I wish more places would set up something like that.
This is my second visit to Frisk collection in Nashville.
I greatly appreciate the sincerity and the earnestness of the curation.

In sharp contrast to well-funded museums around the world that slavishly display only works from a well-known cadre of artists, the Frisk bucks the trend entirely showing vision, confidence, boldness … and great quality.
Everything here is of merit!

The federal government built 3 post offices using the same blueprint in the early 1930s: Nashville, Knoxville and Kansas City.
All three still stand today, but this one is in the best shape, beaming with the glory of what good government can accomplish.

Das Museum ist super gut. Sie haben einen eigenen Parkplatz hinter dem Museum Gürtel welchen man keine Gebühren zahlen muss wenn man eine Eintrittskarte für das Museum kauft. Ebenfalls kann man für den Aufenthalt seine Jacke oder Gegenstände in den Spinden kostenlos aufbewahren.
They had very good and interesting expositions when we visited. They had one of the modern visions and experiences of artists of color. How society impacts their life. And the people around them. They had an exposition about the exploration of the classical painting on Spanish America on the times of the conquista.
There was an interactive art space. Designed usually for kids but adults and children can have a lot of fun with it!
We did our own stamped designs. There was an interactive wall where we could change the views of the circular displays and create any part we wanted and then we tried a mirror section they had that was to help kids to visualize themselves.

Small museum with a big impact. The exhibits were thought provoking and beautiful. There's a nice space upstairs for little children. I visited with a friend, but would have loved to take my kids here.
I enjoyed this museum. It is very interesting because all of the collection is borrowed from other museums and galleries. They also have an interactive exhibit which was by far best I’ve seen and been to out of the many museums I’ve traveled too. Parking is not free they have a lot spaces. Restrooms were clean. The price to enter for non members are reasonable adults 15! And anyone under 18 free also I saw anyone with government assistance enter at a reduce rate and reduce parking.
We had a guided tour of the Parthenon which I highly recommend. Our guide was very knowledgeable and pointed out features and details I would have missed. This place is huge but is wheelchair accessible. Lot of interesting art pieces inside and a nice park outside.
Wife & I went (last minute decision) on our anniversary. Great place to relax & take in the different kinds/genres of artwork. I found some of the older pieces to be interesting & and thought-provoking. Totally recommend.
I spent about an hour and a half reading and viewing the items in the Parthenon. There were interactive exhibits, nice art, and looking at the sculptures and particularly Athena is a sight that can’t be put into words. The customer service was great! Gift shop has something for everyone and at tourist prices. 4.5/5 stars because I wish it didn’t smell like a Greece-y fart the whole time.
This place is amazing. We come here often. It is great to just walk around outside. You don't even have to go inside to enjoy the majesty of the place.
Now, the inside is impressive and totally worth going into. The history of how the Parthenon came to be in Nashville is astonishing. Greek mythology will always have a pull on the modern world, but standing in front of that massive state of Athena will always amaze.

Wow. I've seen the real thing, and now this one. I mean, the real thing took my breath away. This one is amazing. I didn't get to go inside. We were there on an off day, but we did walk around it. It is still amazing to me that the original was built so far back in time. This one is an exact replica. So even in modern times, this is still great architecture. The detail in the pillars and in the whole structure is absolutely amazing. I can't imagine how this one was built. I read the history and I recommend you do the same. It's interesting what the original place looked like during the fair. They did a lot of redesigning and reconstruction to complete this replica. It is very well done.

Frist Art Museum is city staple! Family friendly and in the heart of downtown. Every Saturday, they offer free architectural tours. They do a great job celebrating every culture, artist spectrum and collaborating with other businesses. This is must-do to get acclimated in the artist space here in Nashville.
What a unique experience! This was an amazing museum filled with very interesting historical pieces. I loved the temporary exhibits and the outside grounds as well! Athena holding a 6 ft tall Nike was incredible!
Really well laid out gallery and art complex. Lots of community involvement and a curio shop. No cafeteria. Has some permanent collection halls and lots of theme exhibitions. Well worth a visit.
Cool art museum in downtown Nashville! Even the architecture is pretty neat. Probably a medium sized Museum with solid exhibits. Within walking distance of downtown and it's right off of Broadway! Definitely recommend checking it out if you're a fan of art and happen to be in Nashville.

Was in town for a conference and had some time to kill, so stopped into the museum to see what they had to offer.
At the time they had a very cool exhibit from Beatrix Potter, which was awesome and brought back lots to childhood memories. And they had a very cool Afrofuturism mini exhibit.
Also, really enjoyed the student art exhibit. It looked like they were in the process of setting up the next incoming exhibit so a big section was closed off at the time, but the museum itself for what I saw was a nice space there in Nashville.
Probably only need about 1 1/2 hours tops to see the whole thing right now, but that could look different with the other exhibit space being open.

Great art studio. This is a must see if you are in Nashville. A lot of very unique paintings to see.
I had an amazing time at the Frist Museum in Nashville! The "Multiplicity: Blackness in Contemporary American Collage" exhibit was mind-blowing, telling powerful stories through art. The museum staff were friendly and informative, making my visit even better. I'm leaving feeling inspired and can't wait to come back. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Uncertain of exactly what was happening, but at the time of my visit, the majority of the museum was temporarily-closed. That solely, left the Beatrix Potter exhibit to be explored. It was so impressively curated & presented. I knew very little of BP before this, but have since come to respect her so much more. Her work ranges from pencil/ink sketches, watercolor paintings to her own books & a board game! She created & accumulated an insane amount of art by the age of only nine (& beyond, of course)…but I was so surprised at how much she’d done only in her childhood, let alone adulthood. She examined & documented different aspects of animals, insects & meshed them with human characteristics in the most whimsical & interesting ways. There’s also a cool kid-targeted art station where you can do everything from sketch, stamp, paint & an array of other activities, but I enjoyed it myself, as an adult. I really loved seeing kids getting excited about being interactive with art, aside from anything electronic. Simpler times! The gift shop is so much fun too! So many great things to look at & pick from. I’d highly recommend this place, even just based off of the one exhibit!

I liked the experience. The art exhibit was okay this go around but I hear these are changed regularly. There wasn't a lot of space in the initial areas where the story of this Parthenon replica is talked about. Because of that I felt like I was pushing people through the halls or them me. The big reveal on the second floor is the best part, along with a lot of the facts. For $10 it's well worth the visit. Also, set aside about 30-40 minutes to go over the audio tour outside (there are symbols on the ground to scan).
In town from Oregon for work and was looking for things to experience in Nashville in the evenings. This was my FAVORITE stop. Free audio tour outside on your phone if you want or just $10 to go inside for tour which is WELL worth it. The gift shop was so cute and the staff was very friendly. I loved sitting on the bench out front listening to the museum curator explain the architecture- it was a nerds dream come true. HIGHLY reccomend
Wow! Just wow! Admission is only $10 a person to go inside. The building itself is the world's only exact replica of the temple in Greece. The outside alone is beautiful! Inside you will find a statue of Athena. It's it unreal to see the size of her statue inside upstairs. The grounds where The Parthenon are are also beautiful. A lake, benches, paths, and other statues and monuments are there. We used the Old Town Trolley hop on hop off trolley tour to get to places like this that weren't within walking distance of our hotel. It saved us driving and parking. Although, I believe parking is free here. Very happy to see this place. Add it to your list of stops while visiting Nashville! Tickets can only be purchased on site.
Most definitely worth a visit!! An incredible structure full of history and details! The museum isn’t large, but the art is so beautiful. Everything was so enjoyable. Our tour guide John Taylor was wonderful, he was so incredibly knowledgeable and friendly, he made the experience all the more worthwhile! I highly recommend checking it out!
I find it interesting that a replica of the Parthenon 🏛️ was built in Nashville of all places. Very neat to see! It’s amazing what human kind could build with basic tools and basic technology so many years ago. We enjoyed visiting! We will have to go to Greece one day to see the original Parthenon.

This replica is very cool! Especially since I’ve visited the original Parthenon in Athens. You can tour the outside without having to go inside if you just want to enjoy the columns. It’s $10 for adults and $8 for children under the age of 17 to go inside and see the Athena statue. I thought there would be more, but it’s mostly just the statue and some cool art. Still enjoyable though!
Great place to go especially when it’s hot in Nashville. They offer many different exhibits every few months. The tickets are $15 for entry. 18 years and younger get in for free. They also have many different discounts for seniors, military, EBT/WIC families, and college students. The parking is $2 per hour in their gated lot. They also have an activity center for children (and adults) filled with many different creative stations. Definitely recommend especially for families!

Very nice gallery with multiple mediums. Probably the nicest shop in Nashville, not the normal. Friendly staff who were happy to answer questions. If you’re into traditional are rather than the arts and crafts of Nashville this is the place.
Really cool to see in person. Pretty scenery all around. Felt like it was a little expensive for the museum just because there wasn’t a lot to see. We took both our kids 9 and 2.5 for us it was a little much for the 2.5 year old. I would have liked to read a little more of the history and other information on the museum part. Great rotating shows of the best of Indiana artists. Paintings, pottery, jewelry- all wonderful. And the staff are very accommodating and friendly while still giving you space to view the art.

Awesome piece of Indiana history here. Great collection of some beautiful artwork that is unique to this region. You can find a lot of forest portraits here that are beautiful for fall life.
