The art is absolutely amazing 🤩 👍 I enjoyed every moment being in the museum. I went with my girlfriend and she enjoyed the experience too! We plan on coming back again because we had so much fun! Beware tickets are expensive ⚠️
- Free military discount entrance.
- Beautiful garden.
- Great (small hill) overview of the beach.
This is the only solely Pacific Islander Museum in America, and you truly feel you are on the islands when you come. Auntie Fran Lujan and Staff have created an environment of a love for Art and culture and are always inviting community groups to their space. Congratulations 🎉
Celebrated my daughter's birthday for lunch. Food was delightful and scenery was great along with the service!
It most definitely wasn't my favorite. Not very much to see I'd say but the outside views were pretty. Staff was very friendly.
Small gallery with a few pieces of Pacific Island folk art. Staff tried to say the lack of description was intentional, but I wasn't convinced. Could use improvement.
It’s a nice community museum. Small enough to not feel overwhelmed or rushed. But big enough to hold some larger scaled works. Most of all the location on the bluffs overlooking the beach and ocean make it a great day and a feel good place to hang out or have an event on the lawn. Perfect wedding venue!
I don’t believe this is fairly accurate review. I personally don’t like Modern Art. I apologize to those artists featured at this Museum. The outside grounds, are lovely for a wedding or private event.
They have a free parking lot for guests. $12/entry museum for an adult (they have a Friday discount). Next door Claire's restaurant has a nice patio overlooking the Juniper beach.
The museum was partially closed when we went. But if the art display on the first floor is an indicator of the overall quality of the museum, I cannot imagine it to be anything better than below par. The buildings that house the museum and the restaurants look impressive; and that's all to this museum.
Wonderful place that’s offers an untraditional museum experience. There’re rotating exhibits that can often be interacted with, as well as resident artists onsite. Easily worth the price of admission.
A small but quaint museum. The current exhibits are awesome. It's 3 floors to this building. There is access to an elevator if needed.
I hadn't been here before but saw lbma on the list of museums with free entry today so decided to go. Although the museum has a small parking lot, it was full so I had to park several blocks away and walk. There is also a paid parking option at Junipero Beach that I'll keep in mind for next time.

Since they were already at max capacity when I got there at 11:30ish, I waited a few minutes to get in. I doubt that's normal though. I'm guessing there were lots of others taking advantage of the free day.

Brent Estabrook, one of the artists, was there and conducted a tour of his works and answered questions.

Their restaurant, Claire's, was also busy today. I wasn't hungry but will definitely come back another day to check out Claire's, which has outside seating overlooking the ocean.

The museum and Claire's are open Thursday through Sunday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.
There are places to eat brunch and beverages outside the Museum.
We have go to the opening hours Friday and can sit without the Waiting.
The employees are very kind and ocean view is so beautiful.
Food was so delicious.
We didn't see the museum because the child was so sleepy.
I want to see the inside of the museum next time.
I came for a special event so I didn't get to explore the museum much inside.

The outdoor space is so tranquil and takes you on a journey spiritually. There is an energy shift when you enter here. It's an experience as long as you are open and allow it to happen.

I look forward to coming back to explore more of the artifacts inside the museum.
This is easily one of my best experiences at any art museum. Community and togetherness is very clear here and I felt very welcomed. Whether you live in LB or are just passing through I would recomend a visit or two.
Nice little museum with the view of the ocean.

There are 3 floors in this museum, they have exhibits of artists from local area. Wonderful installation outside, look beautiful day and night time.

I have the honor to volunteer for the installation. Thanks LBMA for having me.

Parking is free and it’s outside of the museum. So make sure to check the google map before you come.

There is a little restaurant for you to enjoy the ocean breeze and beautiful view as well.
Felt a bit of home and folks so friendly and welcoming.
As a Chamorro (Micronesian) woman, combat veteran, and person in the world, this was a moving experience that I'll never forget. The curator, Fran Lujan, is amazing and everyone should visit at least once to realize how much NHPI peoples have sacrificed for and contributed to the country and the world.
Great museum with wonderful exhibits that last a full year. Great information about the islands.
Current exhibit features traditional tribal tattoos and a tattoo artist, Tricia Allen was working there during the day, very awesome.
