A wonderful and varied set of collections. It was a great way to spend a couple of hours.

They were doing construction to outside of building and at first didn't seem that big but the more you explored the more you realized there was alot to see. We spent at least 2-3 hours here and would have more if we weren't all hungry lol and they do have a cafe we just had plans to eat elsewhere

Loved the Art Displayed. There's always something going on. I attended the Live Lipstick War Poetry show and it was fuel for my soul! I look forward to all that the Museum has to offer.

I loved the Yayaoi Kusama Infinity Room. This was the 7th infinity room of hers that I've seen and this one ranks right up there with Crystal Bridges and SF MoMa's. The rest of the museum has a diverse collection and I enjoyed the modern art. Can't wait for the sculpture garden to open.

Staff welcoming and helpful in introducing the museum. Enjoyed the exhibits. Interactive ones as well. Bought a variety of items from the great gift shop. Reasonably priced admission.

We had an amazing experience at the Speed Art Museum. The selection of art is outstanding covering history and many cultures in various mediums. The museum is beautifully proportioned and compliments its exhibitions making touring a delightful. If in Louisville, the Speed should be on your list!

Good museum! A little small for the price, but still a good visit. Loved the local collection and artists during our visit in Sept. 2021

Great museum. Blew away expectations. Can spend up to 3 hours there if you take your time and see everything. I would assume most people can do it in 2 hours. Great mix of art forms both new and old. Modern and classic. Modern building and large open layout. Impressive.

Great museum with art across many genres. A glass exhibit, some African and Native art, local Kentucky artists, the usual European artists, etc. Something for everyone. Parking is not free and a few galleries are closed for renovation.

We had a great time. The building and art surpassed my expectations. There was something interesting for everyone to enjoy. I loved talking with my teen about the pieces he found interesting. I definitely have to go back because I realized on the way out I'd missed one area and my kid wants to go back when the cinema is open. We spent about 3.5 hours there. I really enjoyed the South Asian exhibit and reading the descriptions about the art. I've never seen art from India. It was very cool to get a peek into the culture.

Beautiful museum and wonderful art. First floor had a gift shop/coffee shop and a creativity center for the children. The second floor had a continuation of the dresses from the first floor. The third floor had canvases if beautiful art work with a local artists working on a master piece. Very friendly, clean, and amazing place.

Very cozy museum. They Definitely go for quality than quantity when it comes to their displays. They also have slam poetry every last Saturday of the month. Definitely will visit again!

Its cheap and the gift shop area is really cool. Good cappuccinos here too. The viewing rooms are somewhat odd. One room had a tiny bit of history on Louisville parks. The other was an expensive ikea type area. They get 4 stars though because its cheap to visit. The front reception area persons are really nice. Clean bathrooms, cool shop area trinkets and the cappuchanchans are top notch.

So much incredible art packed into a small space! It's worth it every time we visit. We are always pleasantly surprised.

It's free, kind of small as there's only 2 exhibits at a time, 3 floors, your in and out in roughly 20-30 minutes. The exhibits they had were interesting though, good amount of information for the pieces.

I absolutely loved KMAC. I wish I could go back!
My friends and I were out-of-towners visiting from up north for a conference in the city, and this museum was one of the only places we could find open on a Sunday before flying out.
I'm so glad we found it. The ultimate museum aesthetic and feel- so warm and cozy and friendly. All the art was, of course, beautiful and thought-provoking.
Even the coffee was absolutely delicious and made on the spot. My friends and I stayed here for a good while just chatting and hanging out in the lobby after viewing the pieces.
The employees on the ground floor were highly knowledgeable and so kind and relaxed. They made us feel welcomed and comfortable. You could tell right away that they absolutely were passionate about the arts.
On top of all this, admission was free!
I still keep my pamphlets and stickers that I got here, and if I ever come back to Louisville I will 100% stop by. I'm sure my friends would say the same.
