Had a great time working here last summer :) Looking forward to coming back this year in a new role!

It was very fun

BEST CAMP EVER

Crestwood is an inclusive community for anyone and everyone, with the best staff around! The grounds are beautiful, with lots of greenery and open space. Crestwood also offers tons of great activities that turn up the fun for all!

I could not be happier with my decision to enroll my children in the 6 week Summer Camp program in 2022! My children looked forward to going each and every day and always came home with great stories to share about their camp counsellors, and how much they made them feel welcome. The daily activities and theme days were age appropriate, well thought out and kept my children engaged. In addition, the focus on swimming and how the program is catered to strengthen their individual skills is a rare find.. my little guy (5) specifically took a whole new interest in swimming after Crestwood! Lastly, the Food... Having hot lunches, and a variety of options that satisfied that taste buds of two picky children was another big win.
Crestwood Valley Day Camp is one that did not fall short of the recommendations I received from other camper families. If you are on the fence about enrolling.. I strongly recommend!

I could not have sent my kids to a better summer camp. All of the camp staff were always helpful, cheerful and full of energy. I knew when my kids were at Crestwood camp they would be in good hands. My kids left the camp with smiles on their faces and stories to tell me all about every day. My kids cannot wait until next season to roll around so they can see their friends again and make new memories.

The camp is awesome, my kids say it is the only camp they want to go to and have been for a few years now. The staff are friendly, attentive and always look out for the safety of their campers. High range of outdoor activities for all ages too. Can't wait for next summer.

My daughter attended camp here this past summer and although it sounds like she enjoyed herself, there was concerns regarding health and safety (not covid related). She was required to stay in the infirmary due to cold like symptoms-after negative covid test. She fell from the top bunk while asleep, due to the fact that there was no railing to keep her from falling. No one at camp advised me that this was the cause of how she fell from the top bunk, my daughter had to tell me when I picked her up. She sustained a fracture to the growth plate in her wrist and was in a cast for the next 6 weeks of summer. Her session ended the day after this event and camp never followed up once. The on site doctor suspected a broken bone and wrote a requisition for an xray but no follow up was made. I also emailed camp director and owner and no response was received. No one advised that they had rectified the negligence on their behalf of not having railings on top bunks throughout the camp. Deeply disappointed and concerned for what else could have happened to my daughter aside from a broken bone-concussion or worse etc . I would have liked to send my daughter back but most definitely will not be...

This camp is an amazing day camp choice for your child. This summer my child attended and after registration, I learned that there were new directors this year, so I was a little worried about if the experience would be as positive as it was in previous years. Well, it was great! The Covid restrictions were spot on, and they put in electives each week which was a new feature. My child loved focusing on a different activity each week. Swimming was cancelled due to Covid, so the electives were a great way to soften that blow as well. They offered so many choices like magic, visual arts, multi media, coding, basketball, soccer and photography onsite, and even had special offsite choices like horse back riding, sailing and lake sports. The staff were really friendly, kind and accomodating. A huge plus is that they provided all the food and snacks for the kids so you didn't have to worry about that at all, and the food got good reviews too. The only downside this year was that they didn't use the original campus which is beautiful. Hopefully they'll return to that next year. Highly recommend this camp if you're considering different day camps!

My 6 year old had a fantastic Summer. The programs were well thought out and fun, and the staff super engaging. There was the added benefit that the camp prepared all snacks/meals, saving us time in the morning! A great month she had, at a very fair price.

nice ok

BEST CAMP EVERRRRRRRRRRRR outside all the time, awesome sailboats and they have adorable horses!!!!! ten out of ten would recommend.

We have sent bot of our kids to CVDC and both of our kids love it there. we have also sent our kids to Robin Hood and Bayview glen, both of which are great too, but can't beat the location of Crestwood if you live in the city. Very well managed camp with tons of swimming pools and in a lovely valley with a great mix of sun and shade

My friend (who's a student) wanted to get a job here but they pay next to nothing ($2/hour), which is horrendous--not only this, but they require her to take extensive training hours, and if she cannot take them due to the limited time she has as a student, her wages are deducted until she's actually paying the camp to work. This is outrageous, considering the cost for a child to go to the camp is in the thousands! For some reason, it is legal for this camp to pay under minimum wage to a student like my friend, which I find doesn't make sense, seeing as it's child labour.

We sent all 3 of our children this past summer to Crestwood. They all benefited in different ways. The staff were extremely responsive when my youngest daughter was adjusting. They all ended up loving camp!!!

excellent camp- my daughter loved it. She always came back home happy and excited. The bus service was excellent. Swimming program was great too. I observed lots of positive changes in my 4.5 year old. Thank you!

Okay camp, not coming back. Not a lot of diversity so if your kids don't fit their mold he/she won't fit in. I didn't think younger kids would have problems fitting in but that's the culture here.
The counselors are all very young and the good or bad thing is there is a lot of them, that's part of the summer camp deal in a lot of places. There is a lot of physical activities and "fun" activities but not much to exercise the mind. Again, this is the curriculum I can't really complain.

Great camp! I have been sending my son from Europe for two summers and he loves it. He has been to many camps all over Europe and Bayview Glen is among his favourite. The staff are full of energy and fun. My brother worked as a tennis coach many many years ago and he speaks of the experiance till this day. Keep up the good work.

My daughter had a very disappointing experience. She had difficult time transitioning from the pool and other activities she was really interested in, and because of that we were told not to send her again! At least we were refunded the money...The stuff is really young and inexperienced with kids who require a bit of help. Not worth the money. The positives- really fun bus ride and nice pool.

Terrible camp. They cannot expect to deliver a quality camp to children with the dirt cheap wage they pay their camp counsellors. To escape the minimum wage, the camp offers a contract to potential staff to work over the duration of the camp. Given all the responsibilities and hours counsellors work, they only get paid 4 or 5$ and hour when you do the math. Disappointing how they take advantage of our city's youth for profit...

After 15 years at Bayview Glen Day Camp as both a camper and staff, I can truly say without a doubt that it is the most incredible place to be during the summer. I have been able to experience a wide range of activities, gain important leadership skills, and meet people who have positively impacted my life. I cannot imagining spending my summers anywhere else.
