Course was in descent shape. Greens really slow guess they plugged and fertilized several weeks back. Starters and staff are awesome but had a foursome in front of us that thought they were playing the open championship..... 5 hour round. Good location beside the airport and nice practice areas. Grey squirrels are crazy come right up to you and get in your cart Looking for food!

Great service at the cart/starter area. Thoroughly enjoyed playing there twice during my week long trip two weeks ago. I’ll play here every time I get to Myrtle Beach. It’s right across the street from the airport so I played 9 then caught my plane.
Professional knowledgeable staff. Greens very good shape. Great experience.

I have played here with family and friends for ten years. I have enjoyed the beauty and the maintenance of this course. Even though the play can be slow a few times a year, it is usual that a foursome can finish under 4 hours. I enjoy being matched with couples from the US or Canada. Also, the course drains well after rain. I have played once from the cart path only. The staff are welcoming to all.
Played Jan 31/24. First time to Myrtle Beach and wasn't sure what course conditions would be like this time of year. Fairways and greens overseeded with Rye and were in great shape. That nasty Bermuda rough was thankfully dormant. Round was right around 4 h. Staff was was very accommodating although the guy behind the counter was a little surly. Will definitely be playing it again before we leave.
Starter had 18 people at the first tee. Ranger never enforced a 4some not letting 2 play through when there was no one in front of them after a few holes. Cheap golf. Get what you pay for. Locals is cheaper than trail card… which makes no sense. Greens were as bumpy as it gets.
Love playing both of these courses. Greens not super fast, but roll extremely well. The bunkers on the Palmetto course are as nice to play out of as any that I have played in the area. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.
Not in very good shape. A lot of ground under repair. Pace of play is very poor and I’ve run into this situation a couple of times at this course. Ranger is nowhere to be found. Sending twosomes off before and after foursomes messes up the flow. Also, sending groups off on the 10 in the middle of the round backs everything up. If you don’t mind 5 1/2 hour rounds play here. Much better conditions in the spring through fall.

Arcadiain Shores GC is a nearby course that is very convenient for me. When I have family and friends here in Myrtle we play this course at least once during their stay. Never has anyone ever complained about this course and its condition. We never have an issue with the staff. Some other reviews have mentioned that the staff is strict about booze on the course. If that’s your best complaint then maybe just try not drinking during your round or maybe support the course by purchasing drinks from the cart girl. I played this course many times and it’s always a pleasure. It’s challenging and beautiful. Conditions are so similar to just about 95% of the other courses, so there shouldn’t be much to complain about. When my friends revisit, they always want to return to Arcadian Shores GC.
Great course absolutely abysmal staff!

Hate to leave this review, but the experience we had needs to be shared. The course is great, good condition, no issues, honestly lovely. BUT, that staff is brutal. They will search your bags, your car, anything to prevent you even from taking Gatorade’s onto the course. They then follow it up with a rude attitude and constant park ranger coming through shouting times to be done on our second round. We shot our first 18 in 4 hours flat, second round scramble, first 9 was finished in 1 hour and 50 minutes, and yet we saw 3 rangers and even the cart girl said at 3pm you only have an hour and a half left. We were finishing up hole 16 still daylight, one ranger came up and said we could finish and then immediately head back, we agreed. As we were putting out that hole, another ranger came up and starting shouting and threatening to call the police.

I don’t like leaving bad reviews unless they are REALLY bad, this is one of those times. Courses are all over this area, beautiful and super friendly staff at nearly all places do yourself a favor…skip this one.

The only thing going for this course is the natural course itself, but the staff will make you wish you never played there. And we will never come back.
Greens were in pretty good shape. Tee box’s were very poor. Don’t come here if you’re in town with a large group. They run a search and seizure on everyone’s bags when you arrive. They are very inappropriate and generally have a poor attitude. They only had one person who worked at the course under 65. We had a Marshall that followed us on every hole the entire round. Made for a very poor experience. There are too many good courses around the area to deal with an experience like this. The carts were old. We were on the ninth hole before we ever saw the beverage cart and we were one of the first tee times in the morning. Don’t waste your time and money at this course. Other than that we had an alright time.

Had a good time
Enjoyed all the out door activities
Nice place to visit
Average golf course. Many of the greens had bare spots. Fairway grass not that great either. All of the greens were surrounded by a lot of sand. You have to be really accurate hitting into the greens.

Updated from last time posted...been there a few times now 5 to be exact in the last year...... feel this place is not really worth the price they are charging compared to other courses we have been at for less money..i think my crew are done with this place time to move on... you can golf at Arrowhead for less than this place and its 10 times better of a course.. lush over seeded fairways everything is lush and green not hard brown grass off the fairways ... .....see above .One of myrtle beaches best courses I feel. Beautiful design and lots of water, well kept course. You can tell the owner takes pride in this place. Great staff as well right down to the Volunteer Starters.

Great day for golfing. Pinehills is in great shape from t box to greens, even the cart path.

Pace of play was good and the crossover seemed seamless.

Couple interesting holes and some more challenging than expected.

Started on the back nine so photos reflect that.
We played the Palmetto course in Jan. 2023 and have to say how impressed we were with this course. The clubhouse staff were welcoming and got us out on our reservation quickly. Before our round we hit up the driving range and loved the condition of the boxes. Putting green was well maintained too. It was colder but the course was pretty busy, however our pace of place was timely and we were never waiting on the next hole for more than 5 minutes. Beautiful views, tough hole placements, makes you play this course smart. We’ll be back here to play much more. You’ll enjoy this one and what it has to offer.
Overall fun experience. Greens were in great shape fairways and tee boxes not so much. Front nine winter rye coming in so tee boxes hadn’t been cut yet and it was like hitting out of the rough. Older course pretty easy layout for most part with a couple scenic holes with water.
Nice enough course...really should be 3.5 but not a 4 for me. Greens rolled nice. Nice sand in bunkers. Layout is OK but nothing special. I would play again though.

PineHills is a beautiful course with great scenery and character. Very playable for the high handicap golfer, but it still offers enough challenges for even the most skilled golfers. I played the morning after an overnight storm blew through, and the course was still in excellent shape. The bunkers were full of water, but they dried throughout the morning. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the pro shop had everything I could ask for. I was on vacation from IL and only had one day to play, and I’m glad I chose this course.

Quite playable with a few longer, challenging holes. I struggled between a 3 and a 4 rating. Not overly scenic, more of an older traditional course. Seemed as though few golfers bother to fix their divots on the fairways, landed in a few. Definitely would play again.
Great course. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens were in great shape. Water traps were challenging and the fairways are narrow on some holes (hence the reason for my pictures of me playing from the rough..😁). Everyone there was great.
5 stars based on my ability to rate golf courses. The rangers were efficient at getting groups started on time and kept play moving without being pushy. Fairways we're in really good shape for the most part and the greens were well cared for (ie, fast). We played as part of a package deal and it was definitely worth it.
Over priced and rude. Don’t waste your time.

Just finished a round with my father in law. The course has a ton of water but if you keep it in play, it's relatively easy. Greens were super fast and the rough is very forgiving.
Super fun place for kids and adults!!!
Will book again with Golf Trek. Awesome people for booking

This course is right across the street from the airport, it's a great warm up course always in good shape and the staff is extremely friendly.
