I haven’t played here in a few months and was blown away at how great the conditions were from tee to green almost everything looked fantastic. Today I payed to play 18 but something personal came up right after I finished the first 9 so I went into the pro shop as I had once or twice previously and asked for rain check for the back 9 and was told in an extremely rude tone that it was no longer their policy to give rain checks unless it was raining(which is a fair policy but the attitude was really unacceptable). Then I proceeded to ask if I could have a refund for the 9 I didn’t play and was once again very rudely spoken to. It’s really a shame to see this course finally in really good shape just for members of the staff to be awful towards customers.

As part of my reviews of golf courses across the upstate, Cobbs Glen is an average 3/5.
The good: Great layout and very easy to find a tee time.
The bad: Tee boxes need some work.
The ugly: Cart paths are in disrepair (or even just disappear) and the rates are uncompetitive with surrounding courses. Since it was up for sale, course conditions have gotten worse.
Closing remarks: In my opinion one of the better course layouts in the Upstate. If the new owners put some time and money into the course and offer more competitive rates it is worth your time.

As part of my reviews of golf courses across the upstate, Pine Lake is a surprising 4/5.
The good: Rates are very low, and availability for tee times is high. Classic course design.
The bad: Par 3's seem overly long based on handicaps.
The ugly: Greens are extremely difficult, and sometimes impossible based on pin placement. Most greens have multiple tiers and are significantly sloped where you can easily putt right off the surface.
Closing remarks: Surprisingly fun and challenging course - punches above its weight with course rates being so low.

18 holes of pleasant golf. Fairway in good shape, greens well cared for. Cart was in good shape and the brakes worked fine. The sand containers on the cart were full. Pencils and course scorecard were readily available in a mailbox on the first tee box. I played senior rare at under $30. This course pays attention to all the details many courses 3 times the price sometimes fail to take care of. The golf shop and maintenance staff were all as friendly as can be. The only downside is the golf cart path which is in poor shape, but understand that is a very costly investment. It did not prevent me enjoying this course and the people very much.

WOW !!!!! I played this course yesterday and let me tell they have this place in awesome condition !!! The greens are just about perfect. I had to take 3 months away from playing here and I was amazed at how much work has been done during my hiatus... GREAT JOB PINELAKE STAFF 🤜🤛

Vacationing from Florida, was extremely impressed with this golf course. It is in great shape. Challenging course with fast greens. I played on some pga courses in Florida and this course is on par with them. Plus the friendly, helpful staff were a pleasant surprise.

The guy on the golf cart that is in charge of everything I guess the “marshal” is absolutely ridiculous. He’s obviously a very unhappy person and harassed us throughout our 18 holes. Came up to us several times and held us up even longer complaining we were behind. He’s very rude and inappropriate with children as well. If you’re looking for a relaxing day with your family do not come here. We frequent golf courses around this area every weekend and will not be coming back here or recommending this course to our friends until he’s gone. Here’s a photo of him fussing at us like we’re his children.

If I could give 0 stars I would! Me nor my group of atleast 8 players will never go back to this place! They tried to charge us extra for cart fees , when we clearly paid for them the. Was followed by the disrespectful RANGER. THIS COURSE ISNT WORTHY OF A RANGER! Our carts beebed at us every turn telling us we were 30 min behind when we had a group in front of us and no one behind!
The disrespectful ranger stopped us on the back 9 and asked us if our children which are no older than 6 had been hitting balls, we told him no , the man basically called us liars and then approached our children and then started questioning them!! THESE ARE BABIES AND I LET HIM KNOW REAL QUICK TO NEVER QUESTION A CHILD WHEN THERE PARENTS ARE RIGHT BESIDE YOU TALKING TO YOU. I got a video of this because I expected him to be disrespectful to us cause this is our 3rd run in with this guy. Do yourself a favor go to Brookstone or Cobbs glen and play. They don't even have rangers and there courses are 5 STAR

Played the course for the first time today. Nice wide fairways made it a bit less intimidating but water in some strategic places made it plenty challenging. Greens in some spots need a bit of maintenance but overall are pretty good. The course was definitely better than me on this first trip but I look forward to seeing if I can improve on that record on a return visit.

Why did the golfer wear two pairs of pants? In case he got a hole in one!
Why did the golfer bring two pairs of socks? In case he got a hole in one!
Why don't golfers wear hats? Because they already have four!

Allowing 1 5some out to play is bad enough but there were 3 of them out there today. They were driving all over the course even when it said cart path only some were parking right up on the t-boxes.
Price was good but many of the greens are in deplorable condition with lots of dead spots and no grass. Cart paths are not in very good shape either. Recent storm and no one was picking up the debris left behind. This course could be much better

Will not be back. Brought my 4 year old with me and was charged a cart fee for him to ride. Never been charged in all of Anderson county. Why come back when I can go to any other course and not be charged. Also the conditions are pitiful. It had gotten a lot better the last time I came but this was terrible. DONT WASTE YOUR TIME. Now I’m being followed by a ranger.

Great course. Great clubhouse. Great food. Great value.
I haven’t played here as much as I have other area courses but there’s really no good reason not to play here more.
The greens are in great shape. It’s December so it’s hard to tell but I think the fairways are in pretty good shape too.
The cart paths could use some work but that’s secondary to the course being in good shape.
The clubhouse is nice for a local course, and the food is great.
I look forward to coming back more often.

Cobbs Glen Country Club, located in Anderson, South Carolina, is a great course for a fair price. The fairways were well kept and the greens were perfect. This course has several challenging holes, including fourteen and fifteen. Some well placed water hazards make these some exciting holes. The clubhouse is nice, including a full service restaurant. Give them a go the next time you want to paly an exciting round!

THEY NEED A RANGER ON THE WEEKENDS, AND IM VERY CONFIDENT THAT IT WASNT MEMBERS PLAYING SO SLOW,BUT THE SLOW PLAY MADE ME MISERABLE AFTER 5 HOLES.THE GREENS ARENT BAD BUT THEY DONT APPEAR TO HAVE BEEN COVERED THIS WINTER SO NOT AS FULLY DRESSED AS MOST COURSES N THE AREA ARE,WHICH MAKES THEM SLOWER.THEY ARE STILL CLEANING UP THE COURSE AND REPAVING THE CARTPATHS IN ORDER FOR A BETTER EXPERIENCE.THE FOOD IN THE SNACKBAR IS VERY GOOD AND GREAT VALUE. GOOD CARTS ARE A PLUS TOO.I PROBABLY WON'T BE BACK UNTIL THE GRASS IS IN GROWING SEASON. IM UPSET WITH THE SLOW PACE AND NO RANGER BUT OVERALL COURSE IS IN PRETTY GOOD SHAPE
