Big arena with multiple rinks. Stsdium seating puts you above the ice for watching a hockey game. Nice diner attached with decent food.

Nice and clean facility with helpful employees. Although I figure skate occasionally as a hobby, my review is not for using the ice here (because I have not) but for visiting as a spectator. I come sometimes with a dear childhood friend whose daughter plays hockey. One critique I have is that a ramp to the bleachers in Rink 1 would be so helpful to my friend who is walker dependent due to a neurological disease. How much would it cost to install a ramp by those stairs? I can only imagine there are other spectators who would benefit from better accessibility as well. It pains me to see anyone struggle with basic accommodations in public places this day and age.

Online rental is not efficient. It is impossible to reserve online even though they encourage online reservations. There is no button to actually RESERVE the spot

It’s a real nice place and the rink is good. But the rental skates are the absolute worst that I ever experienced in my life. And I have been to many places all over America and the world. These skates are the worst. Management should invest just a little. Just killing the experience, of an otherwise amazing place.

Poor teenage kids working on the booth are not even allowed to give a refund.

I love this place! Yes, it’s small, but it’s not like they can expand the grass area to make the rink bigger! But of course more space would be great.

Last I went was on Thanksgiving - while it was nice to be able to get out of the house & have a ~relatively~ spacious rink, I did worry about the employees who didn’t have the holiday off. They zamboni’d the ice approximately every 45 minutes or so (in the 2 hrs I was there), which was nice. Staff was friendly as well!

The reason I give it a 4 stars is because of the ice skates. I’ve been going to this ice rink since it first opened ~10 or more years ago(?). I’m sure they’ve updated the skates since when they first opened but that’s my only *real* complaint. I have wider feet, which is one thing, but they’re overall uncomfortable (which I see in others’ reviews too!). I asked for a woman’s 8.5 which was way too small (I wore thin socks) - but 8-8.5 is my actual shoe size. I asked for a 9, but it was pretty big. I have thick ankles but even though I tied my left skate tightly, it was so loose, I sort of worried for my safety.

It’d give it a 5 if they could update their selection & provide a bit more comfortable skates :)

Overall, I had a blast per usual!

There was zero seating on rink 3. And as you could guess all our games were in #3.

Spacious and the restrooms are always clean. The snack bar is incredibly convenient and the sport shop in house is priced similarly to places out in town. Staff has always been available when needed as well. Just wish they would swap a bunch of the laces on the public skates that are too short or have multiple knots in them.

We had a great time and it was a very quiet day. Not many people ice skate during the summer so if you have kids and want to do something out of the sun...recommend giving it a try!

I didn’t even know there is 1 in Rockville and when we went, we had so much fun. The place is clean, huge and the staff is cool. Brought my nephew for his first ice skating lesion and he was thrilled

It's a small ice rink convieniently located at the town center, in the middle of lots of restaurants. It was our first time and definitely enjoyable experience and could be recommended for beginners and experts alike.

You could be practicing gliding holding on to the side rails but yeah be prepared to falls too (if you're a first timer or even a novice).

Only downside was the rental skates was not the best/hard (may be less padded/cushioned?) and was in a bit of pain after a while. So best to bring yours.

Tickets were about 15 bucks each.

I had a very fun time. The workers were very nice and helpful with sizing and the skates. The ice had a few bumps in it but it comes expected with an outdoor ice rink. Overall great experience, will definitely come back with more people!

Relatively warm viewing area for 2 of the 3 rinks. Wide selection of menu items in the restaurant and quick service counter. Food staff very friendly.

Small little ice rink. Great for kids. 15 bucks i believe for a kid. Stayed nearly 2 hrs. No hassles. Lots of people started to show up. Kids first time here. They have these little slide holders for first timers.

It’s good rink and all but I am giving them one star now just to blow off steam.
We missed our game today because their reception repeatedly told us our game was moved.
The receptionist and his manager (?) were insisting that the game was supposed to be three hours later than scheduled.

The skates are so, so painful! I thought it was just the first pair I had tried on and exchanged for another, but the second was even worse. Had to take breaks because it was hurting pretty bad. Also, they kicked people off the ice ten minutes before actual closing which was kinda annoying and frustrating. The ice was pretty messed up too by the time we got there, which was later in the evening. Certain areas were super difficult to skate on, combined with the terrible skates. If you bring your own skates it's probably more enjoyable. The music and atmosphere provide good vibes.

Make your reservations! This place is terrrific. An hour skate for about $15 per person was great! My boys, 10 and 12, skated for the first time and did terrific. They do have devices to help eliminate falls for the young and old. :) The rink is kept pretty empty given covid. I observed mostly teens on the ice, but they were respectful while exuding the holiday spirit. Reservations are handled nicely so there are limited skaters getting their skates and entering the rink at the same time. Its conveniently located near a parking garage, with many restaurants and hot chocolate within walking distance. I highly recommend this place.

Nice rink. Parking area not well lit. Really nice lounge area upstairs to watch a game in a warm setting.

Snack bar was good. Good options there for a drink and a quick snack.

Saw a speed skating club getting ready to skate. Haven't seen that before so I guess it's the place to go for speed skating.

The bathroom had an odor that I'm not sure could have been human. Hold your breath before you go in there but other than that a nice rink.

My daughter recently started a skating class from here, and we started going for public skating too. Their classes are efficient and instructors are great. I can see all the kids really enjoying to learn and having fun. Their public skating time can be crowded but I have never seen any injuries so far and they make sure to clean the rink every hour or so. They have total 3 rinks and have ice hockey teams playing as well. They have nice and sturdy beginner holders so that kids can still enjoy skating even if they dont know how to skate or scared. They also have generous sitting benches right next to the rinks and outside. Inside benches get real cold but it is nice to sit and watch your little ones learning. Parking can be little tight and they have nice diner style restaurant and snack/ coffee bar. Renting skating system is extremely efficient and overall service is good. I really like this place and my daughter loves to skate. I think I will continue to come here for classes and public skating as long as she wants to come.

Great for all ages, non-skaters and above! They have stands to help the kids, and adults, hold to something other than the rail. Skating outside under the clock and next to a Christmas tree in December is delightful! $14 gives you 2 hours of skate time and rentals. There are free lockers for your shoes and bags. Come when it opens if you want open area, other than that it stay pretty busy! Only suggestion, an attendant on the ice to keep the tweens skating counter clockwise.

Happy since it is my first experience,but my girlfriend said that ice is not that good.A lot of people here,ok place to have fun.You can rent a locker for free but you pay for skies.
