What a great organization! They were very responsive when I phoned them. When I got to their intake location the person who assisted me was very compassionate and informative. I am thankful I was referred to them

Kind of hard to find, but absolutely worth it. It is very obvious that staff cares a lot about the animals they are taking care of. The facility is very clean and clearly well organized

So glad and thankful to have this collection center here to save the wildlife. Found a bird stuck on sticky pad and struggling to survive. And thanks to Austin Dog Shelter receptionist’s advise and we found this center. The staff is kind and nice, took care of the bird, told us it is fine and they will take care of it. Do give donation to the center to help them facilitate if you can. It’s wonderful to save life.
Note* when you are driving in the E. MLK blvd, immediately after the second traffic light. Watch out for a church on your Right, followed by you see a white mail box size written 5401, and is a very narrowed lane for you to turn left in. Once missed have to make a U-turn.

Nice people, I found an injured dove in my yard today, drove there and they willingly took it in. Donations are optional, but I left one and encourage you to as well. They have a chart of what it costs to care for birds, a dove was $25. This helps you base your donation amount and tells you how far your money could go. I'll be back if I never need to be!

Over the years I've taken about 2 or 3 wildlife in that needed care (yesterday, from the date of this post, was the most recent). Every staff member I've met has been so friendly, respectable, caring, gentle and very knowledgeable answering whatever kind of question. The location can seem hidden (driveway too), but very simple to navigate once you drive in. I recommend a GPS if you're not familiar with the drive- I am, but this last time I still passed it ha. Highly likely it is this way to respect/support animals and the environment by having as much of a 'small footprint' with the shelter.
* Please note, you do not have to pay to drop off HOWEVER, they are a non-profit and the donations help care for the animals. They also release back into the wild after care.

Found a baby mourning dove at work in the parking lot. We brought him here, the staff was kind enough to let us know how baby was doing. Thank you so much!

Glad places like this exist.
Found a bird in the yard.(after hours) kept it safe and contained overnight.
Dropped it off the next morning.
Made a donation to help with the cost

Just called because I saw an injured fox at a public park next to a busy road. The lady who answered very gruffly interrupted me several times only to ultimately declare she could not help because she was too old and infirm. She suggested I call animal control to have the fox put down. So, yeah, one star.

I found a baby swallow at my apartment complex and I called here to find out what I should do. The woman I spoke with was awesome! She took the time to explain the groundling phase and was super cool. I love animal lovers!! I wanted 10 stars, but I could only give 5.

I love these people. I knew there was an SPCA but I never knew there was a rescue place for the wild life. I found a tiny possum cold, shivering, no mom and of course no food. I was afraid that the cats were going to eat him and my friends were going to kill it and they asked me to kill it and I was like noooo way. I called this rescue center and asked if they take baby possums and they said yes. I am so glad that I was able to give this lil guy a chance to grow up and live. To the wildlife staff, thank you all so much for having such a place like this and I was wondering if that any person reading my post wouldn't mind donating to this place because ever little bit helps and these wild animals need a fair chance to survive as well. I chipped in, It would be nice to see you chip in too. Let me show you a picture of this little guy. I wish I could have kept it but it really belongs in the wild. This little guy is safe now thanks to the wildlife rescue center........
