Found a rabbit that couldn't use one of it's hind legs on my way into work. Around 9 am. Contacted these guys because I figured they'd know who to get a hold of. Gave them an intersection and location, as well as my number.

Got a call 2 hours later at 11 am from a guy that wouldn't stop coughing into the phone and told me he won't be helping and I needed to find a centre that helps rabbits. Is that not what you guys do here? Also, some phone manners would be nice. Coughing directly into the phone in between every sentence is... not necessary.

Anyways, so now I'm not sure what to do. He told me about a website I could navigate to find help for rabbits but again, I'm at work so I have limited time.

It's cold. I hope that poor rabbit is okay. I'm about to try to find a place that can actually help...

If you don't have any passion for your job, get a different one.
The best thing about this place is, they're truly very knowledgeable and I wish there were more "sanctuaries" like the Ontario Wildlife Rescue!! Very kind and caring, to the wildlife they rescue!!! Thank you for being you!!! 🤟👍👍😊

Ontario Wildlife Rescue refused to do anything about a baby raccoon with Distemper that's been coming into my yard daily for the last week. Both allowing an animal to die a HORRIBLE death and putting my dogs and cat at risk of a horrible death. Couldn't even put me in touch with someone who could help, which should be one of the main parts of their jobs. They aren't the only organization that did absolutely nothing. I called 8 or 9, all passing the buck to the next organization getting tax dollars to sit around with their thumbs up their a$$, including the city itself. Wish I could give no stars.
Donna is absolutely amazing, the most caring and knowledgeable professional. We found an abandoned, dehydrated 4 week old squirrel and took it in our home for the night. 311 wasn't much help and it was too late to call anyone else, so we figured how to handle it and what to feed it on our own (tip: unflavoured pedialyte mixed with warm puppy milk fed through a soft tip dropper + hot water bottles to keep the tiny squirrel warm). The next morning we called Ontario Wildlife Rescue and just hearing a kind, caring and reassuring voice on the other end of the line was a huge relief. We brought the squirrel to Donna, the kindest soul who's been taking care of animals for over 20 years and she took it in right away, treated it and reassured that it will be fine. Very grateful to Donna and Ontario Wildlife Rescue!

Thank You very much Donna for your care, knowledge and compassion. My friend and I found today little baby squirrel. I found on Internet info about Ontario Wildlife Rescue and I called them. Donna asked few question and had given to me precise instruction what to do with the baby squrrel. We did what she told us to do. When we arrived with the little one Donna showed not only knowledge about this type of animals but authentic love to living creatures. It was amazing experience for my friend and myself to meet Donna - so Special person. Thank you again to rescue little one. Barb and Mia.
This place is amazing! Found a 2 week old baby squirrel that fell from its nest and Ontario wildlife rescue came to pick it up! They were super friendly and helpful over the phone and in person. Other animal rescues denied the baby squirrel but this place took him in happily. You can really see that they care immensely for the animals and will do everything in their power to help injured or orphaned wildlife. Donna was absolutely wonderful. She is very knowledgeable and provided advice and reassurance. Her love for the animals is very clear and I knew without question the baby squirrel would be safe with her! I am so happy and grateful they were able to help the little squirrel! BEST WILDLIFE RESCUE EVER!!!! & Thank you so much Donna!
