This has always been one of my favorite courses on st Simon’s. I go there quite a bit since I live just three hours and it’s a popular spot for my friends and family since we know the island so well. This weekend was my 21st birthday and me and my buddies took a trip down there to play golf and enjoy going out and be at the beach. On Saturday we played and on the first tee the ranger asks me what my tee time was like a Normal question. However he says this right next to a guy in his backswing and I responded with “one second sir” as I pointed to the guy mid swing who then put down a second ball soon after. Me and my 3 friends hit our shots and as we put our clubs up the ranger goes “just some advice, don’t ever tell me or a ranger to ever be quite” from that the round was off to a bad start. I will never play here again after this. If you are on the island and can’t play at sea island I highly recommend sea palms over this. The fairways and green are so pure and it’s even a little cheaper and to me a much more fun course. Very disappointed in king and prince since I’ve played her so many times.

Beautiful course. All well maintained and enjoyable. Cart girl could have stopped and asked if we needed anything a few more times. Most of the time seemed like she was in a race around the course! 😂

Course and greens in great shape. Enjoyed it and playing again tomorrow.

First time playing here and was very impressed. Played two rounds back to back and there was no delay at all. Course is challenging and the second round was better just by knowing more about the course. Definitely have to think your way around some of the holes.

Great golf course with some great vistas. Fairways and greens were superb, great staff and the cost was reasonable. A must visit when visiting St Simon Island.

What an excellent golf course to play. Condition is in wonderful shape. The golf course design is fun and easy to play. The bunkers are in perfect condition. As are the fairways and greens even in late November. We had an excellent time out there, this is one of the courses that I play, every time I come to Saint Simons. We are down here three or four times a year and always enjoy playing the king and prince. Excellent service and fun environment.
Four of the golf holes are designed out on the marsh, which is an amazing experience and quite the engineering feat. Fun golf course to play quiet and firsthand encounter with nature. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🇺🇸👏🏾🐺

Lovely golf course. All felt very natural.
There are some excellent holes, which are quite varied. There's plenty of water.
The greens are undulating and of good pace, 3 putts are a real risk if you're putting from distance.
The fairways and bunkers are all in good condition.
Certainly not an easy course, but it's playable for most golfers, perhaps not a complete beginner.
I would be delighted to play there anytime.
PS beware of the alligators!

Golf course is in great shape. We got behind a couple slow groups and in front of a ladies group that was teeing up in the fairway which was strange but they finished after nine. Lunch in the clubhouse was great. Homemade kettle chips were amazing.

A superb course in all ways, fairways, greens, sand traps all well maintained.
Fairways were as good as some of the courses greens that I have played.
Greens were some of the best.
A truly beautiful course.
Playability I give it a 10+, played ball down and never had to move it while in the fairways.
The price was very reasonable for a course in this condition.

Course was in great shape and had a great layout. Staff was extremely friendly and price matched the course so I can't wait to get down soon again to play!

Really fun golf course

Love living here!

Amazing! Came in town for vacation and found this jewel of a course walking distance to the property for a nice twilight round. The course has a beautiful layout, flat lies and rolling greens. Water plays on many holes but not to the point of challenging. Pro shop well stocked and organized. Justin at the desk took great care of me and answered every question I had about the course. Ben outside gave great service as well, the towel was a nice touch, thanks Ben.

Love St Simons, 3rd time visiting Sea Palms, Reserved 2 King suites with Balconies, our guest wound up in a Double with out..Requested towel service- never
happened, Still waiting for almost a $400.00 fee for incidentals.Whats concerning is the response from staff, No one seems to know when this will be resolved. At this point it's not about the money. Is something going with the resort, make you wonder?

Stayed here as a guess. Wonderful area, facilities were great. They could use more luggage carts for the rooms. Excellent golf course! Greens, boxes and fairways were in top shape.

Pricey, but in great shape and it was just the Georgia Coast golf our group was looking for. GPS on carts was a huge benefit being a first time player at the course. Highly recommend if your looking for great scenery and a great golf course.

Beautiful course winding through live oaks, waterways, and marshes. An easy afternoon play on a hot day, and there was plenty of shade and a few cold beverages to help dial back the heat.

The plantation at ponte vedra is a great place to work
I was employed there for a year and I loved it the staff is amazing
The course is beautiful, I can’t think of a better place to work!

Very nice course. Staff was very helpful and took good care of you

My family comes to St Simons once a year and we always like to play sea palms. It’s a fun course and always enjoy it. I was surprised to book a round this year to find the cost of a round has increased significantly. We had a morning tee time on a Thursday and paid close to $140 per person including taxes. Seems a little steep with no cart person and a driving range you have to drive 10 minutes to get to. We usually play this course bc it’s fun and fairly priced. We will check out other options next year as we might as well played one of the nicer resort courses with better amenities.

1st time visiting St. Simons. One of few (if not only) public courses on the island. Course was in great shape! Greens receptive and smooth. Fun course! 2 adults and 2 juniors. We played after lunch for under $320. Had a great time and would definitely go back!

Travel + Leisure Magazine considers St. Simons Island, GA one of the “Top 5 Best US Islands.” Golf is one of the biggest attractions on St. Simons Island with several private clubs and resort courses, few of which are open to the general public.
One of these resort courses is Sea Palms Resort, a beautiful property situated among the picturesque salt marshes of Georgia’s Golden Isles. Sea Palms stands out among St. Simons Island hotels and features ultra-comfortable accommodations in a secluded “island-within-an-island” retreat.
The main attraction for most visitors to Sea Palms is the 18-hole championship golf course, which winds its way through groves of live oaks, deep blue lagoons, and those enticing salt marshes. Its current pristine conditioning can be attributed to a well-trained and attentive maintenance staff that pays meticulous attention to all aspects of the course.
Before your round, warm up on Sea Palm’s large driving range where you can hit every club in the bag. The driving range is open to resort guests, club members, and the general public.
For me, the biggest takeaways from the golf course at Sea Palms are the green complexes. Not only are these putting surfaces incredible, but they are also incredibly well-protected. The 13th green is surrounded by four bunkers. A large, deep pot bunker in the middle of the fairway fronts the green on Number 14, with two more bunkers behind it. Because of the shape and undulation, a putt from the front right to a front left pin position is almost a guaranteed three-putt!
There are several memorable holes at Sea Palms but none more so than the last three holes which can make or break a good round. Number 16 is a 542-yard par 5 dogleg left and for most players, it’s going to be a 3-shot hole. A tee shot of 240 yards is still going to leave around 300 yards into the green. The green is almost 40 yards long, slightly elevated, and very narrow.
Number 17 is a par 3 that plays 195 yards from the White Tees over a little bit of water on the left. The large green is flanked by large bunkers on either side and slopes back to front.
The finishing hole at Sea Palms is a straightaway par four that plays 366 yards from the White Tees. There’s water all down the left side of the tee box with more water on the right, creating somewhat of an island fairway. A very wide waste bunker crosses the fairway about 70 yards in front of the green and continues down the left side between the water on the left and the green.
After your round, stop by The Golf Shop, which is well-stocked with golf apparel, equipment, and accessories from many of the game’s top manufacturers. You can also pick up something from their grab-and-go snack bar items.
In the event you’re staying at the resort, be sure to have at least one meal at Sago. Sago gets its name from a species of palm trees that are found throughout the property. The restaurant has long been a Golden Isles favorite for great food and entertainment and underwent a major renovation that was completed in 2021. Sago is open 7 days a week for lunch and dinner and Saturday and Sunday for breakfast.
Resort golf courses tend to have a hard time attracting members, especially if they allow guests of the resort to play the golf course. It may not offer the privacy and exclusivity they are looking for. And while the golf course at Sea Palms may be open to guests of the resort, and the general public, there is one section of the club that is reserved exclusively for the members.
The Miracle is a one-of-a-kind practice facility that is member-only. The design team at King-Collins was able to transform what was once the finishing hole of the now defunct 9-hole course into a 4.5 acre practice facility. With wide fairways, five greens, unusual topography, and strategically placed bunkers, dunes, and water features, it allows players to practice just about any short game shot they can think of. It’s more of a golf amusement park than a practice facility – without the clown’s mouth!

Other than I missed a 4 foot put on 18 to break 80 it was a fantastic day. Friggin short putts. Ben hogan was right they should only be half a stroke. Lol

Went there this weekend. The golf courses were in great shape. There was a bit of an issue with one of our rounds and the golf staff took ownership of the mistake and made it right. Everyone makes mistakes and how they handled this one was with the utmost professionalism and positive customer service. I would definitely recommend this destination to others.

The Retreat at Sea Island was interesting, fun and full of ooh’s and aah’s. Challenging on the windy day we had, but fair, as it offered run-up areas to play your ball low. Conditions were pristine.

Recently renovated, the Plantation Course is the most open of the three. Still has great conditions and excellent shot values, but just a notch below the other two. Oversized bunkers add to the aesthetics but a few excessively wavy greens make this course more difficult than necessary. Number 9 is one of the better short fours I have ever played. Love to give this 4.5 stars.

I’ve been luck enough to play here twice and words can’t describe how pure this place is. From the lodge/restaurant to the practice areas and the most amazing test of golf where every hole is an experience and one I look forward to coming back to each time I’m driving away through the beautiful oaks.

I’m not a “Good” player by any means and this course is definitely a shot makers course. It seems short on paper but you need to miss in the rights spots on the fairway. If you’re in the rough then you have no chance of sticking it on those extreme fast greens. Brent Keller was my caddie that day and he was very very helpful. And it was also nice that he was friendly and patient with me. He definitely made that experience better. I hope to be back soon!

Beautiful gated island community.

Pristine condition. Greens are speedy but not crazy, and roll true. Fairways are perfect, but a few tee shots are tricky.
The best of the Sea Island courses.

Been to alot of courses but this one, by far, is the only one that comes close to The Masters in Augusta.

Beautiful place. Friendly people. We will visit again, soon.

Course is in fantastic condition. Greens were perfect. Hats off to the outside services guys! Very friendly. Sea Island really knows how to take care of their guests! Highly recommend you play here.

Davis and Mark Love's design is fun and challenging. Well maintained. Good value.

Beautiful course excellent service

Literally one if the best courses I have ever played, the layout is great and the marsh views are great.

Beautiful area set up for putting! 18 hole course made for Sea Island members and guests to enjoy. Have a cocktail, watch the sunset, and listen to the bagpipes as you and your family putt on a very well maintained course

Very impressed with the class of service the butler's offered. Would love to go back. Beautiful Golf Course beautiful views great location. Be sure to bring lots of money.

The Retreat course is the newest of the Sea Island layouts; originally designed by Joe Lee and subsequently reworked in 2001 by Davis Love III and his brother Mark. The Retreat course is a championship layout that ranks with some of the best in Georgia. This tree-lined parkland course provides a wonderful test for your all-round game, with many attractive, skilfully crafted and challenging holes to enjoy.

Heaven On Earth! A very tough Reese Jones course that just looks easy. Bunkers are reachable from every tee box, which requires play right down the middle of the fairways. Bermuda grass, with grain coming into play on the greens. Spanish moss covered southern oaks add to the ambiance and helps to figure the wind directions

Of all the coursea I have played, this is by far my favorite. The course is always in incredible condition, the staff is friendly and the views are fantastic. It is a must play for everyone that loves golf.

Very under rated golf course that is always in great shape. Take the time to grab a meal in the Davis Love Grille. You won't regret it.

Went to the Golf Club for the Easter Egg Hunt. The grounds are lovely, but didn't spend much time inside the clubhouse.
