I like playing the executive course, well priced, has the driving range and putting practice. Staff is great. Lots of parking and just off the highway.

It’s been decades since I played here - don’t miss an opportunity. One negative thing was we were playing a tournament on a Friday and there was know one working the halfway hut and know one on a beverage cart. Very bizarre as it was extremely hot and the club would have made money on water & Gatorade alone.
It’s a wonderful course to learn on and grow one’s game to advanced level. The 9hole Raweview gets one to learn to keep the ball on the fairway with tight approaches and deterring hazards.

The 18 hole is a challenge for all golfers.
Great staff. Great ambiance.
.
Thank you to the staff in the pro shop and a Marshall for locating lost items on July 9th, including $280. Everything was returned and their honesty and immediate response is much appreciated! I was busy taking a picture when my items were lost so thank you again to all involved! Sandra

The summer intramural run by Hylands on Tuesday nights is very poor. Everytime I tried to book a tee time on their website there were none available. Tanner who runs this intramural is also very poor with his communication. I have emailed him multiple times regarding a refund for the intramural with no result. His last communication said that he would ask management for a refund but I haven’t heard since. I feel like I wasted $260 for the entire intramural series as I haven’t been able to go once due their poor tee time booking process. I would recommend going to a different golf club that treats their customers better.
One of the worst golf experiences I have had . The staff were very pushy, and even the players behind us were rude.

I've never had staff be so high and mighty. We were keeping a decent pace. And we're even waiting on the off hole for the group ahead as to not play up to them, but we're still relentlessly told to speed up.

The course was a wetland, and very tough to play on. No irrigation.

No signage on any hole , not even in the scorecard as to what the hole layouts were.

It you're looking to just get out to enjoy a game of golf and not looking to join the PGA , I highly suggest playing elsewhere.
This is a course that is more than the sum of its parts. Equal parts fun and challenging. An easy walk, and a gettable 18th hole, often make you consider playing another 9 holes!

Great layout - tough back 9. Greens could have been cut down for a more true roll. Greg at the pro shop provided exceptional service. An amazing golf experience, until the rain came :)

Good course, challenging but forgiving. When for the first time out this year and would definitely come back again. Few holes the rough was reeeeaaal rough and it seemed to eat a few of the lads ball. Otherwise was definitely good time.
This course just never gets the little things right. While I appreciate the investment that has gone into the new range, bridges, reservoirs, etc. they continuously overlook/take for granted the small/easy things that help elevate the experience.

For example on multiple occasions I've been there when tee times are completely disorganized, leaving people standing around waiting and unsure what's happening. Or just the other day I grabbed a 13$ range basket where the balls were both old/completely covered in dirt/mud. I'm someone who would use this range 3+ times a week and it's experiences like this that demonstrate complete lack of care and have me deciding to go elsewhere.

As a resident of the area I really want to like this place as it is extremely convenient and reasonably priced but every time I decide to give it another chance I find they let me down.

Firstly, the course is beautiful and well maintained. I am a first year member and the facilities, greens, practice facilities are equivalent to the most expensive courses in the region. The fact that the rates are so reasonable for membership is insane. They also run really well organized tournaments regularly, and the staff are both extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. Definitely a top 5 course in the NCC for me
I play with 35 to 40 golfers called the Westend Duffers. The fairways are grass, cut to appropriate length, greens are slightly contoured and hence challenging, enough water to make you think twice, there is an 9 and a 18 hole course (Raceview > across from the horse race track; Falcon Ridge also across from casino and race track). Driving range, two practice putting greens, friendly bar inside & outside, and Pro Shop.
We had a team event here today and they have a great course and facilities. The catered food was great and the staff was very friendly. They have very nice bar with a great selection of beverages. Parking may be challenging during peak periods.
I work there but still is the best course. Staff are always looking to improve golfers' experience at Hyland. With 2 18-hole, any golfer from beginner to pro will find playing here fun and challenging. The club house has a full bar and a restaurant. Food is so good that coming here to even just eat and have fun with friends is an experience in itself.

Wow, I can't say enough good things about Hylands. Very affordable, great facilities, very friendly staff, courses are always so well maintained. I always enjoyed the pace of play there, I will definitely be grabbing a membership there when I retire in a few years. One small complaint would be that I'd like to see refreshment carts.
It's in my lower half, of courses I play in Ottawa. Its best quality is its location. The layout isn't bad, but it's a bit on the boring side. It's great for new players as it's also on the easier side of things. It can get really, really wet, and your ball on wet days will not have much bounce, if any. After all, it is built on a swamp.

This place offers golf enthusiasts a captivating blend of scenic beauty and challenging play. Nestled amidst the rolling hills, this course beautifully utilizes the natural terrain to its advantage, creating a series of holes that are both visually stunning and strategically designed. Each hole presents players with a unique challenge, demanding precision and strategic thinking. The fairways are well-maintained, and the greens are consistently fast and true, making it a joy for both amateur and seasoned golfers. Beyond the course, the clubhouse amenities and professional staff ensure a welcoming atmosphere and a seamless experience. From the first tee-off to the last putt, Highlands Golf Course promises an unforgettable golfing experience.

$67 for 18 and a split cart. The course was in pristine, Augusta-like shape. Check out the photos.
Great option for membership if you're military or work for DND. The members & staff have been very welcoming to me as a new player. Only downside is the course can be quite busy & is not very easy to get an optimal tee time if you are trying to book a larger group, and the clientele tends to be retiree-aged (if that's an issue for you, I have no problem with it). I see myself coming here many more times throughout the summer!

Held a workplace winter sports day here. The activities that were available were:

1) x-country skiing
2) fat bikes
3) snow shoe
4) skating

Everyone had a great time and thankfully there were no injuries.

Parking is free. The staff are super friendly and accommodating, just a lovely group of people tending to the visitors and the EXPANSIVE golf course turned into a winter activity hub.

Kilometres and kilometres of trails for fat bikes and cross country skiing. There are loops for 5 km, 9 km and 14 km available.

I hear they can cater a lunch for groups as well, there is a minimum number but easily reachable.

Def worth checking out a couple of days after a heavy snow fall for the freshest trails.
I have logged more than 300 rounds here. Member for 3 seasons.

Overall: Pine View is a superb track whose appealing layout and staff make for an enjoyable golf experience

Highlights
1) 36 holes - you never get bored, and tee-times are plentiful
2) Staff - friendly group of fantastic people. They are the best in the biz.
3) Greens - best around club championship time (late august) - tricky!
4) Layout - large fairways with well-guarded greens ensures that the course is a pleasure to play, regardless of skill-level.

Needs some work
1) Fairways - amongst the lot of them there are a significant number of little muddy pits, drainage troughs, and areas w/o grass.
2) Tee boxes - a couple of them are noticeably uneven and/or lack the flat, fairway-like lie you would expect from a tee-box.

I am proud to be a member here. Love the place to bits.

Played the very walkable 18 hole Executive Course today. The fairways and greens were in good condition. The tee boxes need some work still and the ground is tough. Overall, a very fun afternoon. Took approximately 3.5 hours to complete the round walking today.
Course was in fine condition for being late in the season. Lots of water on the course today unfortunately. But that brought ducks & geese and even turkey vultures so that was nice lol. You gotta put up with A LOT of airplanes passing low overhead. Very friendly and helpful marshall/timekeeper.
Great place to golf. Not too busy so good for beginners but the first 3 holes on the 9 hole course are very tough. Fun course though with some tight fairways, nice greens, and a nice Mia of water and sand features.
