Wunderbar hier. Besonders bei Sonnenuntergang

Die Veste ragt schön über der Altstadt empor. Auf der Donauseite Passaus

Burg kann man nicht besuchen.
Es ist in privat Besitz.
Schaut aber sehr imposant aus.

The view of 3 river is very interesting. Upper: Inn, in the middle: Duna, down Iltz. You can see the 3 colour.

Die Burg steht auf der Spitze der felsigen Landzunge am Zusammenfluss von Ilz und Donau unterhalb der Veste Oberhaus. Beide Burgen sind mit Wehrgang miteinander verbunden und bilden eine zusammenhängende Verteidigungsanlage. Sie prägen das Passauer Stadtbild.
Leider ist die Veste Niederhaus in Privatbesitz und nicht zu besichtigen, wie es die Veste Oberhaus.
Wir könnten ihn nur von außen, beim Schiffsrundfahrten bewundern.

Tolle Aussicht über die Stadt!
Ein Manko: Eintritt bis 17:00- Fahrstuhl runter bis 17:00 - laufen kann jeder - eben nicht immer :(

We were looking for a place to stop on the way and came across the beautiful castle in the pictures.
The view is truly breathtaking and overlooks the river.
The building is beautiful and also suitable for the disabled. There is an elevator on site, though for a fee.
The area is very neat and comfortable and there is parking and toilets.

This is the lower part of the "Veste" fortress complex. Every since 1890 it's private property and thus closed to the public. It's a nice building which was renovated in the 2010's. Makes for a beautiful picture.
