I’m obsessedddd with the sunrise bowl (I usually get no coconut on top), I never really was into things like this before but now I look forward to it!! It’s so refreshing and in the pictures I put, that’s the smaller size and it’s so filling!
Food is delicious every time and fresh! I love the make your own bowl 😍
Favorite Poke Bowl place in Madison! Good quality and serving size is superb! I always have enough food to take home from just a regular sized bowl. Everything is always delicious, fav spot in Hillsdale.

Bowls are delicious and surprisingly large, you can easily share a regular size. Recommended adding extra granola. When they're very busy it can take a while to get your order so I'd recommend ordering online if it's a busy time of day.

Very Poorly managed during busy times. Multiple occasions waiting more than double the 25 minute online estimate. Ordered placed at 12PM, order not ready until 1:10PM. Waited at packed store for over half hour. Orders not done in correct order even after I arrived and asked status.
A bit expensive for what you get. Portion sizes are smaller than at equivalent fast/casual restaurants, and service is slow. I've had both take out and dine in at two different locations. The food is fine, but if I really want poke and have other choices? I'll take them. If I want a fancy salad? There's far better available for a better price. It's not bad, mind you... It's just quite pricy for a compromise option.

It's always good and it's always slow. Pickup from online ordering is at least 10 minutes behind each time we've been here. Budget an additional 20 minutes if you're placing an online order, but still show up on time. They're never rude, but it's definitely not a place to get anything quickly unless they're not busy. Today's visit is currently 20 minutes behind. I have been here six times. If they actually kept to their ready times I might give a better rating. Regular unreliability is very frustrating even if the food is worthwhile.

Amazing, thoughtful food! The attention to detail and care that went into every dish was clear and much-appreciated. Our 4-top shared four appetizers +dessert, and everyone ordered a main. Everything was seriously delicious, including the craft cocktails. I'm vegan (dining companions are not), and it was wonderful to be able to order anything on the menu and share several unique apps for the table. I'd love to come back when the courtyard dining space opens again in spring. There is also a coffee shop and fun little "secret" bar in the Robinia space. Highly recommended!!

FINALLY found somewhere to replace Super Charged, my favorite place for fresh squeezed fruit and veggie juice { which is temporarily closed. } While I really dislike Hilldale Mall in general, I will absolutely go there just for Blended! As I often find myself craving a super straightforward and healthy smoothie or juice. They have TONS of delicious choices on their menu.. It's really hard to choose sometimes, but EVERYTHING I've gotten has been amazing. I highly recommend giving them a try. Their juices make amazing hangover cures!
Wow. I think I could eat this every day and never tire of the food. Extremely fresh, extremely fast amazing flavors and fabulous staff who noticed I had a military jacket on and gave me a military discount. I love this place.

Madison has several excellent vegan restaurants, but this one was the best of the lot for me. Fantastic food managing to make mushrooms into startlingly good meat approximations. (I know many vegan places claim this, but most such claims are laughable. This place really delivers!) Excellent flavors, presentations, and personable service. A little on the pricey side, but well worth trying or for a special occasion!
Located in the bustling Madison Hillsdale Mall, FreshFin is a stylish destination for poke bowl enthusiasts. With a varied selection of pre-designed bowls, there's a flavorful choice for every palate. For those seeking a personalized touch, the restaurant provides an extensive build-your-own option, allowing diners to create their unique combination from a wide array of ingredients.

During a recent visit with a party of eight, we experienced their swift and efficient takeout service, receiving our fresh, well-assembled poke bowls in under ten minutes—all with accurate order fulfillment.

It's important to note that the high-quality offerings come at a premium, with prices ranging from $15 to $20 for a standard bowl. However, the cost reflects the quality, making it one of the healthiest takeout meals one could indulge in in the area.

For a delicious and nutritious alternative to the usual fare, FreshFin stands out as a top choice for a quick, satisfying meal.
I started going here 8 months ago, love the food. Now 7 months later and 6 more attempts to have delivery or just have them make the food right. 6 out of 6 failers of every order. Tonight order was completely wrong and 2 of 4 items ordered never made it. It sucks because I like the food but never getting what I ordered, with highly expensive food, has officially put me at my wits end. Go here and gamble with your money. Something needs to change or they'll lose more then me. I tried over and over but failed at every chance.

Will highly recommend this place for anyone who wants to try a Vegan place.

For Vegan food, this place was great. Maybe I had low bar for Vegan food but this place was fantastic. The staff were nice. The ambience was beautiful. The food was wonderful.

The drinks were great. The only average item on the menu was the dessert. Would recommend ice cream outside if you want good dessert.

We got the tandoori chicken - good not great.
Blackened tofu - excellent.
Chick pea paneer - fantastic.

Try it.. You won't regret.

Michelle at Deliciouser had recommended we try Jardin, so we planned dinner before going to Gleam at Olbrich Gardens. To say we weren't disappointed is an understatement. The service was great. The food and our cocktails were both delicious. Really enjoyed the ambiance of the tables near the bar. It felt the perfect amount of cozy and inviting. We will be back since we have moved in close by.
Highly recommend. DELICIOUS food, great and friendly staff. And fast. I ordered online and ready in minutes. The staff even walked it out to my car. I love the coconut shrimp curry but it’s all yummy!

Great little spot for poke! Perfect as a light lunch option if your shopping at Hilldale. The Rainbow bowl was delicious and I loved the variety of ingredients! Really enjoy the build your own bowl option also for non-poke lovers where you can add pork or chicken if you aren’t a fan of seafood.

Great options! Smoothies, bowls toast and coffee! Wish you had an Old Saybrook location!
Amazing service, great food!
I ordered pick up online and then had a work conflict so could not make it to pick up my order. Not only did the fantastic workers put it in the fridge for me when requested but when I finally arrived to pick it out they remade my order to ensure it was safe to eat. Thank you!

We ALWAYS make our way to this amazing Nepalese food when were in Madison!! The family that owns this business & the staff are always very kind & thoughtful! We LOVE the food! Everything is made from scratch! We always order the Dal , the Roti , the Momocha and the Samosas!! They have specials everyday. Today we had the Farsi (butternut squash , onion & peas ) and the Saag ( spinach , black-eyed peas , potato ) and both dishes are out of this world!! We are addicted to their food!!
The sambal goreng tempeh is AMAZING. I want to come back and try the other vegetarian dishes, too, but it will be hard not to keep ordering the same one! Thai iced was also delicious and perfectly sweet.
Pretty good Indonesian food done up to appeal to Wisconsin. I had tempeh goreng, rendang, and bakmie goreng.

The tempeh was really delicious- deep fried with a thick batter. I had hoped for some fresh sambal or kecap manis to dip, but the peanut sauce was nice. After tasting that sauce, I'd bet their sate is on point!

The rendang was the star of the meal. It tasted very authentic - this is such a good entry point to Indonesian food. The beef was tender and the spices and flavors made my heart really happy - exactly as I hoped.

The mie goreng fell short of my Indonesian dreams. I would have loved some spice... I think if you didn't have expectations (or spice tolerance) it would be delightful. I don't know if they would add some peppers in or not- next time I'm in Madison I will definitely try. I did ask about some fresh sambal but it doesn't seem like that's something they do - in a non shortage time I think they'd give you saus sambal. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Overall this was a great restaurant. I loved the decor - definitely would have liked some gamelan or Indonesian music but I also understand the wider appeal of not. My servers were very nice and attentive despite me coming in later than I meant to (close to closing). Overall a nice experience and a taste of Indonesian cuisine. ♥️ terima kasih untuk sedikit rasa Indonesia 🇮🇩 sampai jumpa!
Food is absolutely amazing! Service was super and they answered all our questions and had great recommendations! They really know their stuff. I highly recommend trying this place if you haven't! You won't be disappointed.
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve gotten anything from Fresh Fin, and I had forgotten how INCREDIBLE the food is. All of their ingredients are super fresh and tasty. I’ve tried their more traditional fish-based bowls, as well as a few of their other options, and have never been disappointed. *One of my favorite things about this place is how accommodating they are to different dietary needs and preferences. Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten Free, watching carbs and/or cals, just about anything you could imagine. If you order online, they also have a section where you can note any allergies down to the specific ingredient in your bowl and their kitchen. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything so accessible. Even if it’s not for a specific dietary restriction, the customizability is a huge benefit and means you could eat here daily for months and always have something new to try. I’ve seen some comments about the prices, but the portions you get are beyond reasonable. I’ve had leftovers from the smaller size! Service has always been very quick and friendly in my experience. Just an overall wonderful spot with hearty and healthy foods!
I am so glad this is a state street staple- they have the most delicious, healthy, comforting foods that always taste like homemade cooking. The samosas, roti and golden turmeric tea are some of my favorites. Wonderful vegetarian choices!
Just found an interesting Indonesian restaurant in Madison, WI. I tried bakmi jahe and keju and they were just great! Much pleasure to taste these foods with awesome atmosphere.

I used to come here a lot during my pregnancy few years ago. Best yummiest filling bowl for the price. The staff are great too to accommodate request. I have banana sensitivity and get sick if I eat any, the staff always make sure to replace bananas with another fruit which I really appreciate. The toppings are generous too. You get what you pay for. Our all time fav is the almond butter bowl and the buzz.

Kitchen was short staffed and our server was also one of the Chefs! Good food is worth waiting for! Presentation & food was sensational. Even got my meat loving father to enjoy a plant based meal! Much gratitude.

Wish the customer service was at least half as good as the food and drink. Everyone working here is annoyed you even walked in and ordered. Nobody greets you, they leave you standing at the counter staring at you hoping you just leave instead of “hey how are you be with you in just a moment”

We came to Jardin for a family celebration, and it was delicious and relaxing! My kids are both vegetarians, so it was incredible to have so many varied options on the menu. We got the patatas, salade de saison, chickpea curry and blackened tofu. All were excellent and so flavorful. We were discussing today and couldn't decide which was our favorite! We ate in the courtyard, and the greenery and rock wall made it so lovely. We highly recommend Jardin!

Jardin is absolutely amazing! Definitely a hidden gem in Madison. My husband is vegan (I am not quite there yet). But, this place is great for those who are 100% vegan and for those who are just foodies like myself.

We got the flatbread to share, a couple of drinks and finished with the cast iron cookie.

The ambiance and location is so perfect! Would highly recommend to try this place out.

To have a place where the menu starts off with vegetarian options is quite unusual, but if anywhere can do it, it would be a South Asian food place, and Himal Chuli, which is a Nepali restaurant, did just that. My friends and I ordered the veggie combo, which was basically a double meal of rice, tarkari, and dal, along with some momocha. As added measures, we ordered momo and samosas as well to give them a shot. For the tarkari, the vegetables did not contain enough seasoning but the juice tasted well with brown rice, so I had to pour a bit of juice into the rice and then eat the vegetables with the rice to make it taste the best. The dal, which was a mixed bean soup, was also slightly underseasoned, but tasted very well due to the original ingredient flavors. Both the momocha and the momo were excellent! Even though the menu said both would come with the tomato coriander sauce, we had a different kind of sauce for the momo, and we prefered it so we dipped both kinds of food in there instead of the tomato coriander sauce. I also had the lassi drink, which tasted like a spiced up version (not spicy but containing spices) of yogurt and milk, and I enjoyed it. The samosa was something I had never experienced before, served with yogurt sauce, which I had no issues with, but the skin was not really fully cooked and still felt dough-ey. However, the inside was perfect, and that mattered the most. Lastly, my friends and I had the vegan peda, which tasted as good as it could as a vegan dessert. We would have picked the peda if the restaurant didn't run out of it because it contained ricotta cheese and I knew it would have tasted amazing. Overall the food was very easy to eat and to digest, and I would recommend this place to anyone visiting Madison, WI looking for a place to eat!
I believe it was my first time trying Indonesian cuisine and it was a very memorable meal! We ordered the Rendang and Nasi Goreng, and both were great. The Rendang had an interesting flavor to it that you can't easily encounter and the Nasi Goreng, despite it being more of a fried rice dish, was also great on its own.

FreshFin is a good restaurant was tasty entrées. It can be a little confusing in the ordering process, but once you figure out the system, you have a lot of wonderful choices that can be made. Customer service is nice. Interior space is comfortable and outside tables are wonderful in the warm weather… Limited outdoor seating.

This was definitely one of the best meals I’ve ever had. Everything was absolute perfection! Totally underrated and would for sure recommend.
It is worth asking for delicious Lumpia and Keju for starters. We had small plates of Daging Rendang (very tasty spiced tender beef) and Mango Curry with Tempeh and I requested less sugar in the sauce. It was delicious. The Tempeh tasted like a flavorful sausage, but is made of special soy. Our waiter PJ was great. Parking is easy. It is a quiet romantic restaurant.

The Talkari plate was fresh and delicious! Service at this restaurant was also really great. The Momo’s and Soup were only decent to not so great. Get the Talkari maybe skip the others. Much better dumplings full of flavor at Paul Pelmeni.

Delicious healthy option for a meal or snack. Lots of different flavors (I always enjoy adding peanut butter if the bowl or smoothie doesn’t have any). The peanut butter option or buzz are solid options for peanut butter lovers like me. I recommend ordering beforehand especially if it’s around lunchtime as it tends to get busy. There is some limited seating indoors as well. Their protein balls are good too. The badger bowl and zinger bowl are both great as well. I recommend getting a regular bowl. It’s a large size and much bigger than I expected.
Really great spot for authentic Nepalese food. Easily walkable spot on State Street near plenty of parking. Located in a historic building, with an interior that hasn’t changed a bit in decades. The space is well used with tables shoved in every possible spot and bathrooms haphazardly built into the dining room.

All that said, the experience is wonderful. The staff are friendly, attentive, and fast. Prices are fair and the menu has great options. Most of the food is not spicy, catering to the midwestern palate. The menu is mostly a la carte. There are daily Takaris, which are basically vegetable curries. The dal is a rotating soup.

I opted for rice, cauliflower takari, and dal. The takari was delicious. It looks simple but packs a ton of flavor. The dal is wonderful, and is the kind of soup that seems like it could cure any illness. I also tried a bite of the other takari of the day and some of the momo. Everything rocked.

Updated 9-2-203: 5 stars again! Superb, as always. Not just the best vegan restaurant in Wisconsin, but one of the best in the country. It's one of the top 3 restaurants in Madison and among our favorites anywhere. Our non-vegan friends were blown away by the flavors and how satisfied (as in filled) they were by the food. The drinks and service were superb!

Updated 4-2023: 5 stars. Superb food and experience. It’s the best vegan restaurant in Madison and among the best in US. The entrees are very flavorful, presented beautifully, and filling. The drinks are superb and the complimentary digestif is a very welcome touch. Kudos to the friendly and knowledgeable wait staff who make the experience very comfortable and relaxing. Jardin is a true gem.

Previous from 9-2022: Creative and delicious menus which stand out as one of the best in Madison, but loses a star due to flavorless drinks and cold room. The chickpea paneer was the standout of the apps along with the potatoes azules. The entrée standouts were the Door County cherry mole, roasted eggplant, blackened tofu, and if you like mushrooms, the lobster casarecce had a perfect texture and smooth flavor. Desserts were fine. The drinks were a huge disappointment - massive amounts of nice, little booze or flavor. The room was cold, but it was a surprisingly first cold night in September.
Just stopped by for lunch, and it was absolutely wonderful! I LOVE lumpia, and the ones here are delicious. The meals my friend and I ordered (Indo Mac Lunch Special & Satay Tempeh) were amazing! Especially loved the sauce on the satay. I couldn’t handle the spice of mine (Indo Mac) and the server brought out their Virgin coconut drink to help, and it was just what I needed. The food was great, the staff were even better!
While walking down State Street, came across this place. As the outside seating area was busy we decided to give it a try. I am not sure if all the dishes were authentic but they did have flavor. However, we felt that both the veggie dishes tasted somewhat similar. The dishes were definitely fresh. Enjoyed the soup the most. If you like spicy, try their hot sauce, it was fantastic. It is hot so be careful. Our server was attentive and she was very friendly. The food was served without any delays. Overall experience was average.

Really tasty soups and salads that look beautiful. Great combination of yumminess and eye appeal. It’s a feel-good place for a vegan experience. Except for cow’s milk offered for coffees, it’s vegan friendly for sure. Friendly upbeat vibe.
This place had the coolest vibe, it was like a boutique hole in the wall. I really enjoyed the more obscure Nepal food, and I loved the Golden tea. I think it was a tad on the pricey side, but the quality was great and it didn't take too long to get my food at all. Fun place to hang out with friends even though it closes pretty early.

Pitaya Bowl cravings satisfied! Got the Beach Bum (little heavy on the coconut topping but I personally am not the biggest coconut fan). Really liked the chickpea salad sandwich. Can’t wait to come back to try their other bowls.
I ordered a BYOB through DoorDash wanting something fresh and delicious, and I was not disappointed. The cucumbers were crisp, the mango and pineapple were sweet, and the tuna was good quality. I was very happy with the portion size as well, especially for the cost!
First time at FreshFin Poke and absolutely LOVED it. Such a cute place with pretty interiors. Offers a nice fusion take to poke bowl jand they also have vegan options available. The name does justice to the food offered. The Poke bowls are prepared with the freshest ingredient and bursting with flavors. Well done!

We tried the Spicy Tuna and Rainbow bowl and both were so fresh and delicious. Ordered the regular size and it was plenty. I cannot wait to go back and try the other bowls on the menu. It’s a 10/10 for me, highly recommend!!

This place was SO good. They had such great options for smoothies, food, coffee, tea and more. We got a cbd be well tea which was really relaxing, we also got two smoothies the hass-ta la vista and tea-rex tea, and the buddha bowl. Really liked this place, everything was fresh and delicious!
Overall, I am satisfied with every order.
However, today, I ordered my own bowl for pick up. I selected salmon, but when I open it, I found only "tuna" inside. And there was no chopstic and other request in the bag.. I had to use the small plastic spoon for yogert.

Quality smoothie and lids! Accidentally dropped smoothie multiple times and the lid stayed on! If you eat outside right now (August) there are honeybees that are wanting your delicious food (they are not aggressive).
Great food. Reasonable prices. See pictures!! We did drive up and it worked well. Just be aware of their hours. They are open for lunch pickup but close until 5:00 pm. You can place your order ahead of 5:00, but the cooks start cooking again at 5:00. So don't expect anything ready for pickup until around 5:30. Worth the wait.
Very tasty! Sort of like a deconstructed sushi bowl. Really fresh & well done. I had the Spicy Tuna & it was awesome!

Excellent and healthy food and drinks that are so tasty. A little pricey, but given the fresh ingredients and handmade food it seems totally reasonable.

EDIT: I had The Hot Honey avocado toast today and whoever came up with that combination of ingredients (honey, cayenne, cashews, sea salt) and in those proportions is a genius. It was a daily special so it might not always be there, but it was out of this world good!
Satisfying size, spicy tuna signature bowl was enjoyable. Loved the idea behind the truffle crab salad with thick rice crackers, but it would have been better with real crab [and to be honest I would have appreciated a disclaimer or indication in the name... "truffle krab salad" would have been sufficient].
