The staff are fantastic and obviously the location is flawless. There are a few things I found a bit off this time…so they won’t accept cash (this practice really, really irks me. We almost walked away) then to add salt to the wound they charge a surcharge for using your card! They really push for people to self serve, the website even offers you 5% off. They take way too long to get you on the water, the process is such a giant waste of time. Just have a waiver there for people to sign. The ‘induction’ is also far too long. Sad to say it might be the last time we use them.

Hired the 5 seater tinnie for a trip on the river with my wife and 2 dogs.

It was a great experience and will definitely be back next time we visit the area.

Booked a boat for exploring and also fishing. The team could see we were pretty serious to catch some fish as we rocked up with all the gear.

They were fantastic and told us the best places to drop a line (and it did not disappoint).

Also with other boat hire companies, you are usually confined to a small space. With these guys, they let you roam up the river near the wet lands which was a beautiful and picturesque experience.

We booked for 7 hours which I thought was too long, however the time went that quick, think the kids would have been happy to spend another couple of hours out on the water.

Highly recommend Swan Boat Hire. The team are very passionate about what they do and it was a very enjoyable experience. Next time I am back here, we will definitely use Swan Boat Hire again.

My boy and I recently went on one of the little drive your self boats and we had a blast, my boy is 6 and he could have a drive of the boat himself and now he wants to go back again... We had a go at fishing but they weren't biting so we just drove around for a while.

It's best to get t least the 2 hour session so you don't have to ruch and have a look at the wind raider as if it's really windy it can be a bit choppy.

Staff a very friendly and there instructions they give a very clear.

I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to cruise the river in there own time and fish where they want to.

Staff members were not friendly or understanding when we were trying to parking the boat, when we are only 7 year old and it mad me upset for the rest of day but the boat ride was great.

Price is very reasonable and the kids have a ball. The fish are absolutely massive and fun to feed. The new solar boats are a great addition for inclusivity.

Had a great 3 hours of boating fun and fishing with the family. Caught a few fish and almost pulled in a massive blue swimmer crab on the fishing line.
Nice just cruising around the river and creeks.
No boat licence required.
Easy to drive and manoeuvre.

My children had a great experience and were able to ride up and down the canal, they both said it was a lot of fun so they were happy we did the activity. That said, at $22 for 15mins bringing the boats at $88 per hour seems a tad ridiculous just shy of $50 to take two kids. Also given these boats are 2 horsepower they appeared to be a child’s activity and as the reviews show most parents took their kids. Then this makes me question why the cost went up when having a second person in the boat ie a parent taking a child. Given my two year old cannot drive a boat it just seems to exploit young families. I don’t recall paying more per passengers during boat or JetSki hire. There was two separate surcharges that applied at point of sale both for card and public holiday, so it was a hard pass on the popcorn and refreshments.

Loved all my experiences with Plaza Pontoon. I've gone kayaking, paddle boating and SUP boarding with them when I've been on the coast. The kayaking and SUP boarding was great. I went out to cotton tree and was able to go for a swim and just had an awesome time. The paddle boating is also fun with feeding the fish and going up and down the sunshine coast plaza river.

We hired the 12 seater BBQ boat last weekend. There was only 5 of us so we had plenty of room and a toilet also, which was nice. Only thing I'd think about next time is a ladder for getting on/off the boat as it was a tad difficult for my young kids to do on their own, but we managed. The staff are so helpful and really friendly. They go through everything in great detail and provide you heaps on info on what to do and where to go. We had the best time, was an awesome first experience with a bbq boat and my kids absolutely loved it! We will definitely be hiring a boat again in the future with these guys 👍👍👍

The paddle boat we hired had a canopy on it which offered good protection from the hot sun. I took my 4 year old daughter out with me and we were given some bread to feed the fish which my daughter absolutely loved.

A perfekt place when you want to make kayaking/standup paddling/... The service is very nice. When you want you get a few tips before you start paddling down the river. We came back a bit too late but it was no problem. Thanks a lot, we'll come again!
