The visitor center at Hickory Run State Park is beautiful! The bathrooms are clean and modern, and the displays are really interesting to look at. I was happy to see that there was a nice, new visitor center at the park.

Thanks goes out to artist Trevor, who painted a rock that looks like a football. We found it up in a parking area above the Fordway at Hickory Run State Park. We will display it proudly at our front door to remember our trip to the Poconos.

Clean restrooms. No cellular signal though.

Big state park, many campground ⛺️, numerous hiking trails. Took one of the popular one, death of shadow, which started at visitor center,end of a parking lot. Hiking trail is parallel with sand spring run, so the trail is very muddy. Hiking shoes is highly recommended.

Charging my car while hiking these beautiful trails... priceless!!

The map in the concrete is worth the stop. Excellent facility design , outside fireplace , plenty of maps and helpful knowledgeable park Ranger staff. The parking lot has several chargers for electric cards , which is the only way anyone is going to buy them if they travel ... been to be able to get the charge . The facility also has a covered picnic area with several tables .
The entire complex is newly constructed and among the best park facilities i have visited.

Beautiful park. Trails are lush and travel along water if you set out from the park office - The Shades of Death Trail. Would be tough in rain as a lot of roots and rocks underfoot.
