After seeing the reviews, we decided to try it. Be prepared to stand in line for 10 minutes.
Soft serves were great! Interesting new flavours and old classics like plain chocolate. Plus, you can add toppings. The dark chocolate covering is surprisingly rich.
The menu is long and unfortunately, not very clear on what each option is. Plus the prices are located in a different area (near the cashier), I can understand why people take so long on deciding what to get and hold the line. There are some options to bring home but since they are located behind the cashier, it was difficult to see what was available.
The line moves very slowly, there are only 2 people serving ice cream plus the owner/cashier. The interior is small and somewhat old, they made some renovations to make it social media friendly. There are some tables & benches outside to enjoy your ice cream but the line next to it doesn’t allow you to have a quiet place.

Delicious ice cream with flavours changes frequently (Vietnamese coffee, honey safran, pineapple basilic, passion fruit and green tea just to name a few). Friendly service. Great neighbourhood find. Don't let the line scare you, it goes by pretty fast!
Wow! Our first time, but it won't be our last. Has the weekly featured item which was soft strawberry and oreo. Absolutely delicious.
The best thing about this place is that they serve MINI sized cornettes! Loved their pistachio and mangoes+coconut ice cream flavours!
I finally tried an actual vegan ice-cream bar from this place ; this week (April 26) they had a vanilla bar dipped partially in dark chocolate and covered in matcha rice crisps. The inside of the bar had strawberry and matcha filling which seems odd at first but tasted really good. The only thing I wish is that they had more plant-based Ice-creams.
For most of year, they will just have sorbets (Mango, coconut, etc) which are good but nothing extraordinary. One day I really do hope that they will have vegan soft serve. But just a heads up, they usually only have one vegan icecream flavor per week and quantities are limited (call before going). Good experience overall.

I went there on mars 14 around 8h40, it was full and the employee was working all alone by herself. She did an incredible job.

My first time trying Qwelli left me impressed with its wide range of flavors and creative blends – they were so delicious! The brand’s pricing and operational strategy are smart, and their packaging for take-away boxes and the design of their pop-up stores are elegant and alluring.
I love Blizzards. I eat a couple dozen every year. I’m DISAPPOINTED that this location makes them so poorly. All mix at top, bottom half pure vanilla ice cream.

Then, when I came back the 2nd time around, a day or two later, on the evening of Sept 29th, the white woman with short blonde hair who was working was visibly aggressive from the moment my friend and I walked in. She was rude and curt throughout our interaction, told me we could only sample one flavour (this wasn't the case when we came the last time), and scoffed and walked away when I didn't use tap. She had a huuuuge attitude problem, and I suspect may be prejudiced because other male, non-racialized clients that came before and after us were treated respectfully.
If you're a racialized person, steer clear. I did not feel welcomed here, and my friend, who had previously been a repeat customer, will not be coming back. The ice cream is nothing to rave about, and certainly not worth the disrespect.

Too bad, I didn’t take any pictures. But hey, I had a sugar cone with the vanilla dipped in Dark Chocolate.ufffffff what a discovery. The vanilla wow, the sugar cone wow. Highly recommended even if you don’t really like ice cream, but it’s a lot for the real sweet adventure into this place.

This ice cream shop has been in my place expected to visit for couple years but I haven’t visited it until my last day in Montreal. Today I ordered a ice cream of pistachio and kulfi. I always love pistachio flavor and I haven’t tasted the kulfi because, which is kind of a herb spice. The flavor of kulfi is too strong and covered the flavor of pistachio. But kulfi itself is also fantastic. Bye Montreal!

I had coco, Choco banana and cafe late. They were all too sweet, hard to taste the flavors. Please consider adding less sugar so we can actually enjoy the flavors.
Delicious with good choice of flavours. They are fresh so they will melt fast. Get your tongue ready for intense licking session. 👅
I just tried Pile ou Glace Gelateria for first time. We tried the hazelnut and pistachio. Very authentic and high quality! will be back! sorry no pictures! it was eaten too fast!
I like that the pistachio is not dyed a bright green, that is a great sign that these gelatos are made of only the best natural ingredients.

Yummy gelato with a big selection, they also have coffee and milkshakes, I really liked the cheesecake flavour, there’s usually a line but it’s inside a mall so it’s expected, and they’re usually fast:)
My friend and I enjoyed the delicious strawberry bingsoo and matcha bingsoo. We also tried the cake and macaron. We had hoped to try the strawberry cake, but unfortunately, the last piece was taken by someone else. The Oreo cake, however, was incredibly tasty! We plan to visit again specifically to try the strawberry cake.
Originally gave 2 stars but this place literally gave me food poisoning. I really wish I didn’t force myself to eat the food when it tasted the way it did.
To the owner’s ignorant response: tbh started feeling sick from the taste but the nauseousness eventually got worse into the night. I’m not sure what the owner’s trying to get at but I’m pretty sure normal people don’t take pictures of their throw up when they’re busy throwing up. The last time I had these symptoms was when I had food poisoning back in 2018. That feeling is hard to forget to say the least. They also suggest that I should’ve called but I fail to see how that would’ve helped, especially with this kind of poor response.
To their second response: seongyeob kim, you opened with “if you got food poisoning, why didn’t you call us?” followed by demands of proof. That kind of aggressive and apathetic response only reflect poorly on yourself as a business owner. And now you’re making it seem like you simply left a number for further discussion, which was not the case.
bingsoo is one of my fav deserts, meaning I have it often. Nothing to do with lactose intolerance and shame on you for downplaying it as such.
Won’t be responding further as it is a waste of time.

It was hard to get down and it was all I could taste despite it supposed to taste like blueberry. The macarons were also hard and dense. They probably didn’t let them thaw enough out of the freezer :( Heads up, they also don’t take credit. Debit or cash only.
Would not have tipped if I knew this was going to be the experience but at least the cashier was nice. TLDR; many other good bingsoo and/or Korean cafes in mtl.

Delicious gelato. Would be willing to come back for more. The amaretto and pistachio flavors were my favorite. The pistachio will throw you off because of its light brown coloring as opposed to being white or green in other places.

A pretty little store to get your ice cream in the summers during shopping. The scoops are super big, and they have a variety of gelato flavours. They also have ice cream bars, which look super fancy. The service is good, but there is usually a short wait time to get your treat.
Ice-cream was amazing 😭 I had Chai and choco 6 flavors. The Chai flavor was really good and authentic, although I don't usually have chocolate ice cream flavor I got to say this one was really good. Price was fair for a two flavor cup
You can always expect great ice cream from la dipperie. Sadly, poor service left a sour taste on my desert.

Amazing gelato at Pile ou Glace, I recommend getting pistachio if you like it of lemon with strawberry
Their ice cream are sooooo good
I don't know how this ice cream shop never made it on my radar. So many top places recommended in Montreal are overpriced for really basic ice cream. We stumbled upon the store on our way to Mont Royal and I can't wait to go back and try more flavors now. I loved the kulfi and the chocolate raspberry ice cream. Both tasted exactly as I'd hoped, with the latter tasting just like the chocolate jelly ring Italian ices I used to get in NYC.
Only negative feedback was that my boyfriend wasn't huge on the vanilla ice cream, probably because it wasn't vanilla bean. But the other homemade flavors that you can't find elsewhere are worth it and the prices are reasonable for the quality and amount you get.

Their gelato is bursting of flavours, such a wide selection & they have a great service always a smile on their face, it’s just a great experience.

Great ice cream place! I had ‘Chocolate 6x’ cone and it was very flavorful for the chocolate lovers. I recommend it if you’re around and crave some ice cream on a hot day.
$5 for 2 flavours in a small cup. Sugar and waffle cones cost extra. Salted caramel ice cream was not outstanding. The Nutella was very good.
TL;DR high quantity, average quality, average pricing. Excellent service, seating and atmosphere, delicious (real) pistachio ice cream.

The reason for the rating is 3 is because it’s not exceptional or somewhere I would visit twice aside from the pistachio ice cream.
For example, the Tahitian vanilla does not taste strongly enough of vanilla. The dark chocolate is good, and creamy, but the chocolate flavour is not as prominent or rich as the gelato place down the street at saint zotique and st Laurent. The mango tastes like the mango juice you get from overseas, it isn’t artificial like other comments have said, it is real mango but it’s bottled, not freshly peeled behind the counter. Which is fine but it’s not fresh mango which other gelato stores do, and again, not exceptional.
My other note is that the freezer is a touch too cold to properly bring out the flavours in the gelato. There was a slight freezer burn, likely from scooping too close to the edge.
While the pricing is technically good for the amount of ice cream, it would be more favourable to make smaller scoops with more quality per scoop. $7 for a medium cup would be expected out of high end ice cream spots which have more complex flavours.

le 19 Juin, 2023 Unfortunately, this review must be aired as I do not wish to see other customers in the same horrendous situation as mine! I order '2' cheesecake slices from La Diperie, on June 19th, eve. The order came '4 slices of Mango cheesecake' total $77.14! I was shocked & of course tried to contact La Diperie! The gent told me there was nothing short of contacting Uber Eats, which I did & of course, no one ever answers! Then he told me to contact the Head Office, which I did, & once again, no one answers although I left several messages! In summation, it is not only disappointing but impossible to get any kind of resolution with Uber Eats! When I spoke to the owner 'Michael' , at first he seemed willing to assist my dilemma, however, the then simply 'swept me off saying there was nothing he could do'! How lovely!
Its pretty crowded in the summer. The line ups tend to go fast. The servers were ok, like no issues with politeness. Ice cream of choice was the oreo blizzard and chocolate sundae.

Some of the best gelato I’ve ever had! The banana flavour had me coming back for more each day I was in Montreal - it’s that good! I also highly recommend their Lemon Pie and Cookies & Cream flavours (all 3 pictured here). If you are visiting the Eaton Centre in Montreal, I highly recommend trying them out, you won’t regret it!
Bingsoo is similar to ice cream, but it’s made with frozen milk that’s grated and you have the option to choose your topping from the various selections that they have available on the menu.

Gorgeous little ice cream place, they also sell some candies. You can have a traditional ice-cream or a soft serve dipped in chocolate, cookies and cream, matcha, or maple syrup confection. I love the choices of regular ice-cream they have, its very "gastronomic" maybe when we went it was a good day, but the cashiers were very sweet. They also have many seating areas outside , and a lot of people from the neighborhood were having a chat while savouring their ice cream. A very charming , and welcoming place. Only minus is that some of the flavours proposed were changed and they had not yet changed the panel, but the vendors were really kind in taking the time to tell us for the 3 flavours which we wanted what had been changed.

DQ is well known for their unique ice creams! I tried the reeses one, it was just simply amazing and filling. Near guy concordia metro station.
Great place for desserts and coffee! We tried the injeolmi bingsoo and had the grapefruit ade : both delicious and refreshing! They play kpop and the decoration is really cute. One downside is the small space, so when it gets busy, you have to takeout. They also do not take credit cards, so bring your debit or cash.
I made an online order via doordash and Michael was extremely helpful in getting the order fulfilled. I had tried ordering via Ubereats and I was having issues placing the order. Michael was patient to guide me through the process as I was ordering from the US for delivery to Montreal. The service I received over the phone was top notch and the recipient loved the cheesecake. Thank you for helping me with my order.

OMG!! They have amazing 6x chocolate flavour. Their salted caramel flavour is tasty too.
La crème glacée est bonne mais depuis qu’il y a une nouvelle employée les portions ont diminuées de moitié. Ça revient cher pour une mini boule. Dans les petits contenants ça ne dépasse pas même pas le bord.
Je ne sais pas si ce ce sont des directives de la direction ou la jeune fille qui prend cette décision mais nous avons cessé d’y aller après deux fois comme ça.

Je ne sais pas si ce ce sont des directives de la direction ou la jeune fille qui prend cette décision mais nous avons cessé d’y aller après deux fois comme ça.

The place was really pretty and the service was great. However it’s a bit too expensive for the quality of the icecream we got. The texture was extremely weird, there was chunks in the icecream, it wasn’t smooth like a normal icecream would be. I wouldn’t really recommend going there for gelato.

The crowd in front of the café caught my attention. So I decided to go in and tried matcha latté. It was good. Next time, to try its shaved ice.

I stumbled upon Ripples as I was making my way to my car. I was curious about their famous chocolate ice cream I saw advertised in their window. Not only were the workers very friendly and quick but the owner was kind enough to not only give me a sample of one of their new ice creams Fenni Rose (which is so interesting) he also gave me a pair of sunglasses that he said were very me! I highly recommend Ripples and will think of them every time I wear my new shades😎
The dips and the ice cream are okay but the price is high the portions are relatively small, it is NOT the best place for dips. The best place is Chocolats favoris (big dips big ice cream).
It's a cute little place for authentic bingsoo (Korean shaved ice cream). Good Korean music being played in the background.
There was a little miscommunication where the staff made the wrong flavors of bingsoo, but they were so accomodating to make us new ones with the right flavors.

Only thing is with delivery do not put milkshakes in the paper bags please!
mine leaked out bit and was bit messy cause the cover came off in the uber in the bag.
Other than that perfect late night snack treat.. and good portions. Yes I can see myself getting food from here again. Maybe more in person in the summer tho

Been coming here for years and I was never disappointed! Favorite brownie bingsoo in town (also the only place who has it 😂)
But recently started to take a liking to their macarons as well 👀 i don’t know how but they’re soft and crunchy at the same time, not too sweet, just perfect 😮💨
It’s true that they don’t take credit cards so just prepare cash or use debit card (it’s not that hard 🤨)

I personally didn't have any ice cream. My wife and 6 year old daughter tried some. My daughter loved the ice cream (what kid doesn't?). My wife thought the ice cream was just fine and nothing special. There was a lineup so that is what prompted my wife and daughter to want to try the ice cream. They accept American Express here which is surprising as I didn't see a terminal. It's built into their POS unit. Pretty neat.

I love the sorbets they have (vegan sorbets generally).
As a dark chocolate lover, I always get the dark chocolate (72%). It is so good and light. The coconut one is delicious and a bit sweeter.
I tried the mango once and it was great. Also the pistachio one.
They shape the ice cream in a nice way.
It is a must try whether in summer or now😬

Good gelato, great staff, but doesn’t respect hours. It was written on their website that it will be open today Sep 6, and they’re not. Really disappointing. I went numerous times around noon and the shop was closed.
Very unique flavours of craft gelato. I chose fire burned maple and dulce de leche. Muy taste buds were pretty happy!

amazing gelato ice cream! I'd been turned off pistachio by other places recently but this shop's is so rich and nutty, not sickly green or artificial, that I might love pistachio now?? I can't wait to go back and try more flavours!
What a gem of a location. Was heading home after a concert event and we decided that we wanted to stop for some ice cream. We quickly did a Google Search and this one was on our way home so we decided to stop and I'm so glad that we did. The ice creams are so fresh and homemade, they have a very good variety and selection and the service was fantastic. Also for the quantity and quality of ice cream, the prices are more than reasonable so they have my vote and we will definitely return.
This place is my favourite korean dessert place to-go. I am Korean myself, but the things I eat here reminds me of when I was living in Korea. The cakes are so freaking delicious, they have matcha, sweet potatoe, strawberry, blueberry, oreo cakes and so on. If you go there, they sell their cakes by pieces, if you want to order the whole cake, you will have to preorder 2 days in advance

I had a delicious hazelnut and dulce de leches combo. The way the guy packed it into the cup was very precise and not haphazard. He even wiped the sides of the cup so it wasn’t sticky! So thoughtful. Would go back again :)
I usually love to support small/local businesses and find their products to be much tastier but I am so disappointed with this place. Their gelato tasted like it had artificial sweeteners or flavors. Customer service was mediocre: no greetings, the woman serving us looked irritated. Wouldn't recommend at all.
The place is nice, new interior and has abundant menu with frozen cookie dough and dipped ice cream sandwiches. It was a nice day last saturday so went to Diperie to eat . I tried the Ice cream sandwich this time. It was cool to choose a dip and toppings. I found it was expensive for what it was. The cookie texture and taste was too refined and tasted store bought. But with the way the brand is set and the price point doesn't mix with the final product 😐. Would hope to see if I come another time they change it, like if it was more homemade and/or if the ice cream was more flavourful.
Best ice cream in town! I can’t say how much I love their ice-cream! So fresh! My favourites are the coco chocolate, coconut and passion fruit till now. Will try to taste the rest. Staff are nice and u can ask them to try a bit before u get yours. Really helpful!
