Super good. Always impressed with the cakes. Lots of gluten-free egg-free dairy free stuff (never tried them, but they have them). The energy is always pretty nice as well. Can't say much about the iced tea, just cold water they throw a tea bag in? But the normal tea and all the rest of the drinks are pretty great.

I love that this is an iconic destination on Whyte. Great homey vibes and pretty neat patio in the summer time. Had the tiramisu, pistachio, and oreo. Enjoyed all the cakes quite a bit. Moist, not crazy sweet, all quite enjoyable.

Lovely coffee shop in the heart of Whyte Avenue! the ambience is phenomenal 😍 with tasty coffee and huge selection of treats!
it is a great spot to meet friends, read, work/study on your computer or watch people if seated by the window.

This is typically my go to Cafe if I want to sit down and just read a book. The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and warm. The food comes in a variety that serves different dietary needs. The ambient music isn't overwhelming and if it isn't to your liking, it isn't loud enough to drown out your own music. I would highly recommend trying this place out.

This is a quiet cafe in the downtown area.
Despite being a cafe, Mocha had a terrible coffee taste and a tolerable chocolate taste.
The staff were really unfriendly. They talked and took our order as if we were uninvited guests. I guess that's probably why it didn't taste like mocha.

Great cafe in the winter (super cozy and great drinks). In the summer they open the large door and it can get quite loud in there. Deserts are overpriced but worth it.

Block 1912 has been a Whyte Avenue legend in Edmonton for many many years. However with so many more innovative and creative options entering the scene, it is feeling as if Block is becoming dated now.

It is still the same "antiquated" vibe in their space which kinda works. However, the food is not the freshest (the display window doesn't look very appealing) and the java offerings are just so-so.

I know a lot of my friends still prefer this as a stop when we hit up Whyte. But I just feel that it needs a refresh or upgrade. There are numerous new hip stylistic java stops that have opened with the greatest coffee blends.

I will still stop by in a pinch though.

I have almost 50 million views on Google Maps, and I have responsibility to continue posting truthful reviews to maintain the same level of trust. I am not paid by anyone to post, and my views are subjective.

I am giving Block 1912 Cafe the following ratings:

- deserts 8/10
Good quality, but small size for the price

- price 3/10
I think it's way to overpriced to pay for a slice of cake $9 bucks.

- setting 10/10
Great environment. Love the design. Pleasure to spend time inside

- location 10/10
Great location in trendy neighborhood

-washrooms 1/10
I think washrooms should be cleaned more often

I gave overall rating of 4 out of 5 mainly because the of the setting and quality of food.
