A nice museum to learn about the history of Dusseldorf city.
Small but really well done. Super modern. Free audio guide. I like a museum that tells the stories through the eyes and experiences of individuals who could have been friends had we lived at the same time in the same place. The bomb shelter wasn’t much, but the rest of the exhibits more than made up for it.
Unfortunately the current exposition isn't worth even 1 euro. But yet they charge for 9 euros for something so bad.

Great museum. Free entry. The reception lady was very kind too (and spoke fluent English). It was very empty, not sure why. It's a very insightful museum. I definitely recommend.

Super interesting museum! All the information is written in German but you can get audio guide in which goes through each part of the museum as English commentary. I found that it was a lot of information and a lot for my brain to process and listen to so would definitely do it in 2 sessions next time so it's not so overwhelming!

I have been there on Tuesday. Not a lot of people .Its nice there are a lot of art you can see.For this kind of museum you have to be art lover and interest .Even if I am not art lover and only spend 30 minutes there my rate is high.

Very moving experience. Small museum, focused on the real people of this fibe city in WW2 amid the tensions of what was happening in a cruel N. controlled Germany. The air raid shelter was impressive too.
Place to be, must see, art 💚
Like with all museums your like or dislike depends very much on your own taste and which exhibitions are currently on.

My idea is that you just immerse yourself in art and see what comes of it

Visiting this museum is not different. Just wonder through the spacious galleries and see what comes of it
Einer der Top-Plätze für Kunst in Düsseldorf mit direktem Kontakt zu den Künstlern.
Very informative record of personal accounts! What was interesting to see and applaudable was the inclusion of accounts of the Roma and Sinti people. Far too often, these people are left out from the public discourse and knowledge. And saying so, there were accounts of gays and differently abled people who also perished at the hands of the National Socialist Regime. A must visit. Set aside time. I spent about 4 hrs trying to absorb as mush as I can and I used the audio translation. Make sure to go down below in the Air Raid Shelter!
While I can appreciate art galleries, this one stood out to me for not pleasant reasons. The building unfortunately is not big enough to house internationally famous artists witch creates lines out of the door around the building. And the waiting room/cafe has unique but quite uncomfortable seating. Otherwise it’s a big space to house and display great art.
This exhibit was exactly the kind of contemporary art I really like.

This was an excellent showcase of how American hip hop culture has diffused across the world and how different artists interpret street art.
Wonderful free museum highlighting personal experiences of young people under Nazi rule. Signage is all German, but free English audio guide is well done and succinct. There's definitely more to ascertain if you can read German, if you can't it's worth downloading the Deepl app and using it to translate the signage, as there's a lot more information there. Especially the wall panel of photos you flip around to read the story of the person. The current art exhibition is wonderful as well, but no translation or guide for signage there, so again Deepl extremely helpful if you can't read German. The old air raid shelter was very interesting too.
Really enjoyed the Wonderwalls exhibit. Quite provocative. Fairey posters were amazing. It is quite a small exhibition though, basically just two rooms, so felt quite short in terms of a museum visit.

Unfortunately, ground staff were a bit rude and abrupt. Honestly don't see how having my tiny designer handbag on my back versus my shoulder makes a difference. It's not a backpack. And he was so rude when he was telling me to take it off my back.

Definately the place to visit right now!

Sehenswerte Ausstellung CUT
Great space for this photography exhibit. Nicely lit rooms and well arranged. Look forward to more in the future.

This place is an amazing museum and is free entry. Nearly everything is written in german but they provide a free English audio guide with a deposit (the audio guide is very good!) they current exhibition is very well put together and has so much information- I learnt a lot of new information - I definitely recommend. There’s a lot of information so I came over multiple visits
