I have wanted to visit during business hours but due to my work schedule I haven’t. I walked in 9:50 pm attempted to place a take out order although I was at their register the Lady said they were closed. 🥲 I have been craving that Tantán-Men 🤤 not today.

Simply an amazing ramen place! The atmosphere and decorations were wonderful (and the bathroom was clean), the server was kind and responsive, the menu has great variety and great vegan options, and the food was unbelievably delicious! My partner and I will definitely be back!

Food was delicious! Definitely reminds me of authentic Japanese food. The takoyaki was perfectly cooked and a must-try! I also had the yakisoba, which was well portioned and amazing as well!

Quick and easy for an online pickup. Very flavorful broth and overall really good. The spicy miso wasn’t too spicy but I added some of the pepper on the table. Only indoor seating.

I came to this location based on the reviews and I can tell you the food here is so overrated, very bland and the SERVICE… Let’s just say they can care less if you don’t like their food…They have zero sympathy for your feedback ZERO! The lady that serviced us was in her 50’s she might think she’s in her 30’s but NOPE she’s in her fifties for sure she must’ve been PMSing…

We had the Gyoza’s for our appetizer and the ground meat inside was slimy and it was probably the cause of my diarrhea a few hours after eating there… My ramen came out with fried chicken but they tried to fool me because the meat was cold to touch as if they didn’t microwave it long enough before serving it to me… I brought it to the server’s attention that the chicken was cold and she just took it off the table with an attitude and walked away with it. Shortly after the server came back and literally threw the fried chicken back on the table. I then noticed that she brought back the same chicken because there were (2) pieces I bit off which was still on the plate but this time there was grease liquid all over the plate as if they dropped the chicken in the fryer and pulled it out. When she was passing by our table I asked her, what did you do to my chicken??? You threw it in grease to make it look like it’s a new piece that you all cooked?! She said, you picky! Just eat it!
I then asked for the check and since she had zero sympathy I left her a big FAT ZERO for her gratuity!

Not coming back to this place! Every other ramen restaurant I’ve been to is way better than this location.

Really clean place and welcoming staff who pays attention to you. Spicy Miso ramen was so tasty, among the best I tried so far. Really delicious and for a fair price.
Ingredients they use are obviously fresh, they have an open kitchen that looks neat. I recommend!!!
Searching for a replacement Ramen restaurant in our area, we found Boru today. Quaint little restaurant next to the cinema.

Food was excellent and authentic; service was superb. Even though the place could use a facelift, it was very well kept and most importantly... CLEAN.

My usual ramen spot closes at 3:30 pm and reopens at 4:30pm- which caused me to find another ramen establishment. Came across Hanabi Ramen and ordered the Gyudon beef .

It was like listening to a beautiful- yet technical violin concerto comprised of 3 movements:

The Broth will represent the 1st mvt (Adagio)

The seasonings and the tempura crumbs complementing the broth will represent the 2nd mvt (Allegro non troppo)

The beef and the Udon noodles will represent the 3rd mvt (Presto)

Resulting in a perfect dish, the beef reminded me of a hint of bulgogi (something I make at home) pairing very well with the broth adding such a contrast between a light sweetness and savory note. Perfectly balanced and composed I can detect there was a lot of thought put in the dish and I just loaned for more. Every taste was a new discovery and I was highly impressed. Very homey with a lot of notes and I will be back at the establishment again soon!

The food here was sooo good. We ordered the miso butter ramen and the spicy miso ramen and both were absolutely fantastic. Our only complaint was that it was absolutely packed- and we felt a bit rushed. Every single seat was taken and there were people standing, waiting in every square foot of the place making the dining experience a bit stressful.

Great ramen spot. The dining room is small and they get busy quickly. The food is outstanding, so make sure to check this place out.

The master of this ramen restaurant is a retired gaming company executive, and his passion for ramen led to the opening of the ramen restaurant. One of the best ramen places in DMV, or I would say in the US.

I enjoyed my meal at Hanabi. I went with a co-worker for lunch. The atmosphere was relaxed and the service was great. We got everything in a timely manner. I decided to get the shrimp tempura as an appetizer and for my main meal, I decided on the chicken katsu. Everything was delicious. I would definitely visit again when in the area!

Small restaurant that one can easily walk by, serving well-priced, well-flavored ramen. Their house Tonkotsu ramen has an excellent broth, tender chashu, and great noodles. Their chicken karaage ramen is a great second choice!

I also recommend their taiyaki for dessert with red bean ice cream, a great traditional dessert that not many places offer.

There is limited seating, so be prepared for a wait on a busy evening, but the servers are incredibly kind and accommodating.

The place is very small but super crowded! Fortunately, the wait is fast. Foods are great, the eel with rice is most popular, but size is smaller than expected compare to the picture. The spicy miso ramen is good and big portion. The appetizers are delicious too. Price is reasonable. Great find in the area!

Ramen Quality: ★★★☆☆
As a ramen enthusiast who's been to Japan multiple times, I have high standards for ramen. The ramen at Hanabi Ramen is pretty good with a nice taste and good ramen texture. However, I must admit that the soup lacked the thickness I usually enjoy. It's flavorful, but not as rich as I'd like.

Tsukemen Delight: ★★★★☆
If you're a fan of tsukemen, you're in for a treat here. Hanabi Ramen's tsukemen is more on the salty side, but it's incredibly flavorful and definitely stands out compared to the ramen. But also not thick enough.🍲

Appetizer Extravaganza: ★★★★★
Now, let's talk about the appetizers! We ordered Takoyaki and karaage, and they were absolutely amazing. In fact, I'd go as far as saying that they are better than the ramen itself. Don't miss out on these delicious starters. 😋

Overall, Hanabi Ramen offers a satisfying ramen experience, especially if you're more into tsukemen or love indulging in mouthwatering appetizers. While the ramen soup could be thicker, the flavors and quality are still worth a visit. 👍

The food is insane. So good. I've never had ramen that had such a deep intricate flavor like that before. Spicyness level was perfect too, I got the spicy chicken broth with the pork. The calamari was great too.
