This is a no-nonsense Ramen restaurant. It's clean and looks better in person than in the pictures. You order from a kiosk, and your food is delivered directly to your table. The Ramen was excellent! Will be back. 🙂
Was my first time here. Not a long wait, but parking is limited. I ordered the spicy tonkotsu with extra noodles and asked it to be extra spicy. Also, order the takoyuki, which came out very hot and fresh. I also ordered the chefs special sushi 🍣. Which the chef chooses for you. I was not disappointed. Will be going back soon.
Really good ramen, but what sold me was the takoyaki! Best I've had
Portions were absolutely perfect, and the rice ratio to the inside fillings were also perfect! 100% recommend this sushi place 💖
The establishment is nicely decorated with anime on the wall and figurines you can look at as well. I enjoyed the ramen it was made well, flavorful and it was a good portion. I will be back!
Amazing Service, Great Food! All you can eat.
We used to compare other ramen we’ve had to this restaurant but sadly, it’s not the same quality as it used to be. Ramen was so salty, we couldn’t finish it and only took 2 bites. The chirashi bowl was just rice and sashimi; didn’t taste that fresh and was at room temperature or on the warmer side but rice wasn’t even hot to warm up the sashimi. Their bathroom was absolutely disgusting and overall cleanliness is questionable. We paid and left without eating… Service would have received a better rating if staff acknowledge that food wasn’t touched and asked if everything was OK, but they didn’t even bother.
What a hidden gem! We stumbled across this restaurant using Google search in the area while looking for sushi. Small restaurant but wow! Food was great and service was incredible. I highly recommend trying this place out. I can tell it is a neighborhood favorite.

I love this hole in the wall. I get lunch here after class and it’s cheap. I do wish the spicy miso ramen was spicier or if they had chili oil you could add yourself. Perfect if you dining on a budget tho.
We have never had traditional ramen before and decided to go while we were visiting from Missouri. It did not disappoint. Once I got used to the chopsticks and was able to try it, I was pleasantly surprised. So flavorful and filling. Definitely an experience that was much needed. Highly recommend Yoshi for any beginning ramen goers.
Ramen had a rich and balanced broth, noodles absorbed flavors beautifully. Bowl was aesthetically pleasing, and the colors and textures added visual appeal. Ambiance of the restaurant complemented the experience comfortable and welcoming atmosphere. Staff attentive and friendly, quick and efficient service added to the positive aspects of the establishment!

The service and food is great here. They have a great happy hour menu and the sushi is fresh. The crab rangoons are one of the best I've had in a while. I really enjoy coming here for some sushi.
This is our first time here, we were looking for some tonkatsu. They had some and it was very good. I saw on the menu that they had curry tonkatsu, which I am going to have to come back and try. We also ordered some sushi rolls, some grilled tempura brussel sprouts, gyoza, and some chicken karage. Everything was excellent.
I love the Crunchy Roll, good price and flavor! For ramen it’s definitely a place to try.

Great place to have some good Japanese food. The service is amazing. it's always a chill atmosphere when we go. I do hear it gets really busy during lunch because duh but if you go during non-rush time you'll be in for a nice dinner. The rice bowls, the pork buns, the sushi, the tapas, it's all delicious. I'll be sure to take pictures next time to add to this review.
This place was incredibly delicious and the service was excellent. My family enjoyed the atmosphere and the music was also nice. I had the Yokushi don and the pork was so tender and full of flavor. The pickles added the perfect crunch and sweet note. The Spicy tuna poke bowl was a phenomenal delicacy and very palate pleasing. My son says “Best seafood ramen ever thank you!”. Ahi sashimi was so extremely fresh. We will be back to this place! Customer service was super and prompt. If I could leave a 100 stars I would.
This place is amazing and super friendly. I ordered sushi totally forgot the names but are super delicious . Also, I got the shrimp ramen so tasty and light. Looking forward to come back again. The waiters are welcoming and very helpful!
This place is fairly new but I enjoy the dining and food. We ordered takeout one time and the way it packed is perfect, still warm when we brought it home. Definitely try their ramen and chef special when you get a chance. And highly recommend coming during lunch/early dinner for Happy Hour.
Decided to try them out. The food was very good and had plenty for lunch the next day. Good value for money and options for everyone on the menu! I hope to be back soon. I've recommended them to a foodie coworker to try out.
For the price this was a really good Ramen! Tonkotsu with a dollop of spicy. I think they say their spicy chili is homemade, but it seemed like it was just a regular Sriracha. It was very spicy though. The broth was good. It was, temperature wise, hot. It was a very simple broth (flavored somewhat like cup ramen) with a very simple, buttery taste to it, but what I appreciate it about this one is that they took the time to marinated the pork and the egg in the sweet soy sauce which, of course, mixed in with that simple broth taste to make it a little more complex. Not really a stand out, but in terms of prices, it was definitely a stand out. The Ramen was very inexpensive. Maybe $11 or $12 dollars max without tip. I can tell people like this place because there was at least three to go orders waiting to be picked up, despite the building being empty.

This is by hands-down, the best Japanese place I have ever been to the food was absolutely delicious.. There PHO bowl with the hot sake with my cream crab puffs was absolutely great can’t forget about them pork sandwiches have you licking your fingertips away😂 I am truly a faithful customer now

Ordered the Chicken Ramen which is suppose to be spicy, but in my opinion was mild. Would have preferred more green onion added but noodles and broth was fresh with a good flavor. The seasoned egg was just right. I’m not a fan of mushrooms but the kikurage absorbs the flavor of the broth and wasn’t bad. This was my first time getting Ramen here for take out and I do plan on dinning in next time and trying their sushi.

Value: one of Tamashi’s best selling points! Food is extremely affordable with most entrees around ~$10 - $15.

I always get the Taiwanese Hot Pot and it’s absolutely delicious. Food doesn’t take too long and the staff is nice. Love this place 💕
My son is a ramen nut and he says this place is one of the best ramen restaurants in Houston. I like Ramen OK but it is not my first choice. However, my husband and I were working late staging a home in the West University area and were starving by the time we finished at 9pm. My husband had seen the Tamashi earlier in the week when we were in the area so he suggested we go there. Luckily they were still open until 10pm.
Parking is limited. We found a spot in front but that is rare. I am told they have additional parking in the back. At such a late hour, they were not too crowded and we were seated right away. They prep all the empty tables with napkins, utensils and menus so we just had to sit and we had what we needed for our meal already.
We decided to order the Tamashi Menn which is the shrimp ramen. I don’t like the creamy broths so this one was perfect for me - Bold flavors in a clearer broth. It was served with several grilled shrimp. We also ordered the two roll combo with 1. Spicy tuna roll and 2. Yellowtail with jalapeño. Both were good but I felt the spicy tuna roll was a little too squishy. The rolls also came with a side of seaweed salad.
Servers were pretty attentive and made sure we never got low on water. The food came out so quickly.
They have 5 locations in Houston. We will be back and will also check out some of the other locations in the future.

Came in a couple months ago. Food was decent and portion was good. Service was meh. One thing I don’t like about this place is that their water tastes like tap water.

First time trying out this place after hearing so many good reviews about it! It’s a must try if you’re into hotpot style meals. Ordered the Korean army soup with some dumpling as appetizers! Soup broth is interchangeable if you’re not the type to eat spicy.
Our family loves this restaurant and we tell everyone we know about it! Not only is the food fantastic, their team is so friendly, helpful, and provide excellent service. Atmosphere/ambiance are great & the restaurant it clean. My family can’t recommend this place enough. We are either here or order from here at least once per week! (Oh and the peach lemonade is made in-house & soooo good!!!)
Located on a strip mall opposite Costco, parking isn’t difficult, and there are 2 spaces specific for Yokushi Robata customers. The restaurant has beautiful but simple decor. Staff were friendly and courteous. I was greeted upon stepping into the restaurant.
I ordered okonomiyaki, and Ikageso karaage as appetizers, salmon sashimi, beef with wasabi and yuzu sauce skewer, pork katsu curry, and chicken katsu ramen. Both appetizers were delicious. The pork top of the okonomiyaki was crispy and seasoned right. The cabbage gave the crunch. The mayo brought the dish together. The Ikageso Karaage was fried perfectly, not oily at all, and the spicy mayo sauce was yummy! Salmon sashimi was fresh and the slices weren’t too thin. The beef with wasabi and yuzu sauce skewer was surprisingly good. The wasabi added the “heat” while the yuzu sauce balanced the flavors of the beef and the wasabi. Highly recommend this dish! The pork katsu curry, and chicken katsu ramen were good. The pork and chicken were nicely fried. They were crispy and light. The curry had the standard Japanese curry taste. The ramen broth was light but could be more flavorful.

The salad kinda threw me off from descriptions…I had the impression it was like shredded papaya salad but it was ripen papaya that topped off the cabbage slaw mixture. Really threw off the flavor profile since it was really sweet and the slaw needed some extra flavor and tanginess. The wagyu slider was super fattty and rich…very tasty. Sashimi however was definitely top tier. Super fresh and just the right amount thickness. Definitely a great place for fresh sashimi.

As soon as I walked in, I was ignored. No hello or welcome. The staff were just messing around and play fighting. I sat myself down and thought that the staff was going to come bring me menus and ask for drinks, but I was ignored. I know they saw me because their heads looked up and they stared directly as I walked in. I waited 10 minutes to be serviced or approached but nothing. After the 10 minutes of waiting, my boyfriend had to get our own menus. Once they saw him get up and get the menu they decided to start servicing us. When he got back to the table they asked for our drinks and then I told them I would like a little more time on ordering the food to see what we would like to eat. They came back with only one drink but after that they never came back. I understand that I asked for more time, but by the time our drinks came we were ready to order. I had waited another 10 minutes before deciding enough was enough. I was getting up and leaving the money for the soda when one of the employees decided to finally approach us. I told them I was okay, thank you and just left. I have never been so badly serviced. I was super hungry and really excited to try this place out. But after that awful service, I'd rather just go someplace else. So if you do decided to come here, beware of bad customer service and a long wait time depending on your race

Our group went here on a spur of the moment Saturday night, and were able to get seated quickly. The food here is incredibly tasty and has a lot of variety and flavours. I was shocked at how affordable the food was, considering the very well prepared food. I would highly recommend this place for both sushi and ramen.
Plenty of choices for you to choose from, hot pot, ramen, skewers, etc. We opted for hot pot, choosing the tomato hot pot and coconut curry hot pot. Both were good but on the salty side. The tomato had a rich tomato flavor with fish filets and plenty of vegetables. This is good for vegetarians. The coconut curry hot pot was a rich creamy flavor due to the coconut cream.

I always have a great meal here. Not only is the service amazing but the decor is beautiful as well. Even the restrooms have a bidet option (to clean your bosom). Everything I've had here has been very tastey and delicious.
We gave this new place a try and we were not disappointed. It was on a Tuesday night so we pretty much had the place for ourselves, and the waiter was very attentive and really trying his best. Their menu is very extensive and affordable, we tried a couple of rolls and also Ramen, everything was delicious, will be definitely coming back.
Outstanding experience at this sushi restaurant! We indulged in a variety of dishes, all of which were truly amazing. The nigiri set was satisfying for two, with portion and quality exceeding expectations for the reasonable price. The foie gras and uni stood out as favorites, and even their udon, which we're usually not fans of, was perfection. The dessert was both adorable and delicious!!
Very good Tonkotsu ramen! The broth was creamy, but not the most flavorful I’ve ever had. Service was great, especially considering we came in within an hour of closing. Also it’s right by Urban Social so you can get a good hearty dinner before drinks and hookah.
Best sushi and Japanese cuisine we've had in Houston so far. We went on a Friday night, and decided to go back Sunday for lunch. Most tender beef skewers. Texas Wagu Sando's are amazing. Service is very quick and they love to keep the table neat at clean. Cocktails are interesting and strong. They have a great Saki collection. Staff can tell you all about the menu. Black pepper sashimi was our favorite, and it was reasonably priced. A must try if you're in the area. We will be back.
Went on Saturday night . Not much busy seen its super hot outside . We got the Tom Yum and Sour Cabbage Lamb . Both was good and flavorful . We also get some Beef Skewer and Lamb skewer it was a bit overcooked but still tasty . Over all the services was great . Food was flavorful we will come back to try more food . Gonna try Singapore laksa next time
Ty was the best server we’ve ever met. He was very professional and on top of everything! The food was amazing as always! Sushi was super fresh, TX roll was flavorful and green tea cheese cake was melting in my mouth. If you like ramen, highly recommend Nagasaki ramen. It is very flavorful!
Everything was SO very delicious!! Our favorites are the kata specials, we tried 3 of them. Not pictured is the Texas Hamachi, which was such a great roll, some crunch, some spice, so fresh tasting. And the lobster Mac & cheese, my daughter ate.

Love the interior of this place. Definitely feels like I'm in the Going Merry Ship tasting Sanji's dishes. Besides the Fandom of One Piece, their dishes are yummy and has wide variety of rolls and Ramen to choose.
Visited this past weekend. Food was fresh and prepared to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant. The only improvement they need to make is stop bothering people 6 times during the visit. I couldn't even have a private conversation with my wife due to being interrupted. There also wasn't many people so I doubt they trying to move us in and out. We had sushi treys and 2 noodle bowls. The broth was top quality(it really was). The beef and shrimp was cooked to perfection. The only complaint is the noodles. They were Maruchan Ramen Noodle quality from a .36 cent bag. Other then that, I will return next week for sushi as I live down the street from here.
Nice place for ramen! Food is as great and it wasn’t crowded at all. With there was a little bit more decor as the place felt a little drab. Portions are awesome but the ramen was slightly bland. I personally like food on all ranges of flavor, so it was good for me. Great experience overall.
Wonderful as always. I’ve been here several times and the service and food is consistent in its friendliness and freshness. The staff is alert and on point. You never wait for a drink and the food comes out promptly. This would make a great first date location as things move fairly fast and would take away awkward quiet moments.
Ordered the tonkotsu ramen and I give it a 4 out of 7. The charshu is not a melt in your mouth tender and the broth is subpar. The presentation is super cute but of course we are here to enjoy our food and not watch. My husband had the laksa seafood soup and he likes it.This is a Taiwanese restaurant so I shouldn’t expect an authentic ramen . So if you are here for ramen then go to Ramen Bar Ichi or tamashi ramen.
Came here on a Sunday night for Japanese street food and drink snacks. We ordered edamame, jellyfish salad, pork chasu bun, unagi, pork belly skewer, chicken gyoza, chicken thigh skewer and fried potato croquettes. What stand out are jelly fish salad, pork chasu bun, and potato croquettes. The decorations at interesting with traditional Japan details. The service was fast and good. Will come back!
Great food! The ramen was really good, ask for the chilli oil it gives it a great kick if you like spicy! The roll was also really good definitely recommend! Come on your birthday or anniversary and get your picture on the wall! Great atmosphere, great service!
Let me just say this is by far the best Japanese restaurant in Houston by far. The service was amazing with our waiter being very attentive to detail throughout the night. He bought each dish one out at a time to give our great appreciation for each dish. Everything was so fresh and rich in flavor. Our favorite dish was the oyster with uni so fresh and delicious easily the best oyster we have ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for high quality food.
So I saw this place on Facebook and really wanted to give it a try. My friends and I stopped in around 7 pm on a Friday and originally it was empty but it quickly became packed. When we left, there was a line of people waiting outside, so I would recommend coming early.
I had never tried this cuisine before, so I was really excited. For the appetizer, we ordered the deep fried calamari and the super french fries. Of the two, the French fries were my favorite. They were different and unique. Although I felt the calamari was a little too chewy for my liking, I did enjoy it with the sauce. I would definitely be interested in trying the other appetizers on the menu.
For my drink, I ordered the purple yam sea salt latte with 50% sugar & boba. My friend ordered the matcha sea salt latte with 100% sugar and boba. Both drink were really tasty. In addition to the drink, I ordered the Tom Yum with shrimp hot pot that came with braised pork rice.I also ordered a side of ramen noodles to go with it. I definitely did not know what to expect when I ordered this lol but boy was I in for a surprise. This hot pot was jam packed with a lot of stuff that I had never seen before. I really enjoyed the shrimp, mussels, and clams. There were a lot of things in it that I was unfamiliar with. Like I said, this was my first time ordering, so I just went all in lol. In the future, I would just order a simple hot pot with just one meat and veggies maybe. This was not my favorite dish to eat but if this is something that you enjoy, I’m sure you would like it. It was definitely a lot of food for the amount of money. I would come back and try the skewers.
I had never tried this cuisine before, so I was really excited. For the appetizer, we ordered the deep fried calamari and the super french fries. Of the two, the French fries were my favorite. They were different and unique. Although I felt the calamari was a little too chewy for my liking, I did enjoy it with the sauce. I would definitely be interested in trying the other appetizers on the menu.
For my drink, I ordered the purple yam sea salt latte with 50% sugar & boba. My friend ordered the matcha sea salt latte with 100% sugar and boba. Both drink were really tasty. In addition to the drink, I ordered the Tom Yum with shrimp hot pot that came with braised pork rice.I also ordered a side of ramen noodles to go with it. I definitely did not know what to expect when I ordered this lol but boy was I in for a surprise. This hot pot was jam packed with a lot of stuff that I had never seen before. First time visit based on a co workers recommendation. Really enjoyed my lunch. Noodles were perfectly cooked and the broth was full of flavor. The meat was tender and nicely seasoned as were the fresh herbs and egg. The service was prompt and friendly. I would highly recommend you give them a try.
Food is great and freshly made to order. I always get the bento box. It's a great deal, and it doesn't leave you hungry. If anything, you have leftovers
Overall the food was good compared to the price. Note that the shoyu ramen here doesn’t come with the original clear soup with the color of soy sauce like I usually get from other ramen places. The shoyu broth here is look like the miso broth. The takoyaki is good.

The dine in experience was really bad. We came in on a slow day, but all the tables were occupied by dirty dishes and no one came to clean them. We had to sit next to other people’s leftovers the whole time there. The ramen was mediocre taste and the price was ok.
Cool restaurant serving authentic Japanese charcoal-grilled yakitori and other izakaya foods. The service, vibe, and food are excellent!

All the grilled skewers were served hot and juicy, and the unique crisp and flavor of the charcoal grill was clear. Made everything extra flavorful and savory. The karaage pieces were pretty small and had a lot of fat so we did not enjoy them as much. The rice is short grain Japanese rice, steamed perfectly and served in steel containers to keep it hot - great for dipping your skewers and aborbing all their juices into the rice. Definitely come here for the skewers!

My first stop at this location. Everything was fresh and tasty. The waiter did a great job of explaining everything. I was real impressed with the unfiltered sake. The waiter recommended it based on the taste profile we gave him. No complaints and a great time!
I arrived hopeful and left impressed! I ordered the spicy miso veggie and added garlic flakes. This dish was delicious! Perfect for the fall weather. It’s great place to get a quick bite to eat. Aesthetics of the place and cleanliness got 5 stars. Staff is friendly and food was out quick! You order your food and drinks and pay before you sit with option to tip.
Okay I hesitated on reviewing this publicly because it's so good and I don't want the place to get overcrowded. However it's too good and I don't want to see the business fail due to lack of customers. This place is amazing. The sushi was fresh and exactly what I needed the day I went. I did not get ramen but my wife did. I couldn't go wrong with either choice and it was all amazing. Will definitely be going back for more. Has a side note the prices are extremely reasonable. I will normally easily drop $100 for a lunch at five of us including a couple of cocktails this place was closer to 70. Five stars all the way
My friend and I tried this for the first time. We enjoyed an all you can eat lunch, the cost is very affordable around $20 and I believe dinner is around $30 per person. You dine in and the restaurant is not that large, pretty intimate space. They have 3 large rectangular tables, a few booths and a couple of high tables and chairs. Around the tables there are paper menus with pens. Pretty simple you check everything you want and the waiter comes to pick it up. I believe you are allowed to order 3 times per person, not too sure because we only ordered a ton of food the first time so we did not order a second batch. Food was delicious. We had a great selection and we were stuffed by the time we left. I plan on going back with friends and family.
We are so happy to have discovered this adorable ramen sushi restaurant. Although the parking is always busy, we had no trouble parking. The menu seems limited at first glance. Though the reality is they have perfected the dishes they serve. I would rather that as opposed to a lengthy menu that was just so so in terms of food. The Octopus balls were an unexpected mouthful of deliciousness. All other dishes were beautifully presented and packing some seriously good flavors! A fun decor and inviting decor only adds to the dining experience. We will definitely become regulars here!!

Delicious!! I could use endless adjectives to describe how tasty the food is at this establishment. Better yet, just go and try it for yourself!! I plan to eat my way through this entire menu over time. I have visited here many times now. Always fresh. Beautifully and creatively plated. Great variety of dishes available on the menu. Nice decor, clean restaurant with friendly and efficient service.
Absolutely Amazing!!! First, the service was phenomenal! Second, the options where excellent and staff was knowledgeable. And Lastly but most certainly not least the food quality was superb , the appetizer was fresh and delicious and came quickly, the sushi was so fresh, I have never had sushi so good, the portion was perfect, the Ramen was delicious and flavorful and again quicky prepared. Almost forgot The tempura Green Tea ice cream was to die for!!! I would give 10 stars if I was able I might even make a whole new account just to continue my praise of this wonderful place!!!!
This place is fantastic! The music the ambience the style are unique and invitingly. The food is really good. The tempura roll was my favorite. The beers were super cold . They have individual booths but I had the opportunity to seat down in the big communal table where you are seated next to other people in a big long table. The service was fast and the staff is super kind. The place is clean throughout and it does have restrooms and it is accessible for wheelchairs.
The Chashu Pork Bun was succulent and Delicious!! The pork literally melted in my mouth!! The flavor wasn't overpowering and it definitely wasn't underpowering either, it was just right 😌.
I also ordered the Okonomiyaki which was nice and crispy on the outer edges yet nice, soft and delicious in the center 🥰🥰 It reminded me of the first time I had okonomiyaki at a Japanese Arcade and the time I had it in New York at a small Japanese stall (weird.. I know lol). The purple yam fries are always amazing especially when paired with their special mayo and the Ebi mayo is always an excellent starter!!
The atmosphere and the selection of food literally makes you feel like you left Houston if only for a minute or two!
