Had Christine Pipchick as my PA. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL!!! So incredibly unprofessional. Late to the appointment. Super judgmental, not compassionate, and does not create a comforting environment. She went on and on and made so many inappropriate comments that were uncalled for and judgy regarding issues that were not relevant to my reasons for seeing her and that I never asked for her input on. She did not take proper patient history or ask many questions before prescribing medication. Rushed the appointment, did not seem like she wanted to be there. Also did not seem too knowledgeable on the medication she prescribed.

Extremely slow!!! Came in at 2PM & it’s just about midnight now and I have yet to be seen by a Doctor smh Never again!
I was told that CT scan results can take anywhere from 2-4 hours.
The medical personnel here are literally just dragging their feet and barely doing anything in the emergency department.
Absolutely no communication or updates.

I appreciate how understanding she was and very much so trying to help me get to the bottom of my pain and what it was steaming from. She gave me a referral and understood where I was coming from completely. Her patience is unmatched and very appreciated. Thank you so much again

Incompetent staff all around. They booked me in for the wrong type of appointment and had to fix that in their system when I came. Then I was kept waiting in a room for over 20 minutes where I was then told they forgot about me. The woman doing all of the entry stuff told me she would never come here because it’s way too expensive and then when she was taking my blood after she told me that she was not confident she would get one of my veins and may have to poke around. So unprofessional. Dr. Gerner was nice but did literally nothing during the appointment so it was a complete waste of time. Took over an hour and a half to finish the appointment and now I have been dealing with their billing department for over 6 weeks because they refuse to give me a real billing statement.

This was my first visit with Dr. Holden, and I felt very comfortable in his presence. He was thoughtful and thorough, taking the time to talk over all of my questions. His bedside manner put me at ease, and I am happy to have him as my new GYN at Westside Family Medicine.

This review is hard, because I left the office in tears, but not necessarily because of the standard of care or because anyone was cruel. Nor because the news was that bad or outright nasty, but because the bedside manner was just kind of...off. The NP (not mean or consciously rude) immediately after feeling a lump I was concerned about, only said, "Ooh, we wanna do an ultrasound on that one," and then did not elaborate. When I became nervous about the possibility of it being a problem, she noticed I was scared and started walking it back, and low-key scolding me (?) about being nervous. Saying that my mood had changed because I misinterpreted, it's all just procedure, and I should calm down, etc, it's not a big deal, honestly we're only doing it because it's due diligence...only to examine it again mid-explanation and, after a beat of silence, repeat to herself "Yeah, this needs an ultrasound." She also told me she hoped that I had a virus, instead of something requiring an ultrasound which also terrified me when it turned out I did need it. I get the sentiment she was trying to convey, but I felt that not only did I have no idea what actually was happening with me, but also ashamed of being scared and unsure if I should be concerned or not. I felt unsure if my fear was valid, and the whiplash from the different tones and explanations did not really clarify that for me.
That said, they were VERY helpful in that when I called to let them know that the ultrasound place was unable to verify information for an appointment (still not sure why), they actually sorted it for me and managed to get me a scan appointment same day, which to my understanding is very hard to do. That was incredibly helpful in getting me a little more information and helping me not panic, and I truly didn't expect that. I appreciated that very much and to be fair, they really did seem like they didn't want me to leave upset - unfortunately the damage was done at that point.
I know this wasn't malicious or done to be hurtful. Likely it was because they meet lots of patients for lots of varying reasons and they frankly don't have a the time to consider things like phrasing. However the way the information was delivered was confusing and left me feeling negatively about my experience. I am not sure if I will receive a call back, if I will be able to meet this particular endocrinologist, or most crucially, what is actually happening and how concerning it is. Regardless of how it shakes out, I will never forget how confused, embarrassed, and alone I felt.
Also this is very minor in comparison, but two receptionists gave me totally conflicting information about how to connect with the doctor to go over test results. One told me I needed to make an appointment and I shouldn't have been told that the doctor would call me...as the doctor called me. I'm not sure if I was just exceptionally annoying or what but whichever is true (appointment needed or not) - please clarify to patients. I feel like a small note on the prescription for the scan would help clarify how the patient should expect their results and next steps, so the receptionists don't have to deal with patients like me bothering them!
To WFM, thank you for the care you provided and apologies if this offends anyone. I know everyone works very hard and doesn't do anything to intentionally frustrate or scare their patients. I just wanted to share my experience.
Edited to add that I don't think badly of the NP, and she did everything she was required to do quickly and efficiently. It's just that she shared some news with me in a way that scared me quite a bit and I left feeling a little shaken. In all other ways she was great and I was seen very quickly. The office was also very nice and check-in was uncomplicated.

Let me preface this by saying I started going to WFM around 2016 and have referred many folks to them because I have loved their providers. Over the years however, their customer service for handling anything else has declined terribly, culminating in my current experience where a "free" physical from last year is threatening to cost me $350 because they coded the service incorrectly or didn't provide sufficient evidence that it was necessary.
They do not have a billing department you can get in touch with via phone. I went in for my annual physical November 2023. I received a bill for medically unnecessary tests from the lab they sent me to on April 29th (mind you it was necessary because I was treated for the condition because the test was positive). I submitted my bill with pertinent information on April 29, 2024 and was told all that needed to be submitted was proof that the test was medically necessary because the billing code used did not show that. I was told the billing department was backed up and they would get back to me as soon as they could. I have followed up weekly, multiple times a week, and have received the same answer that billing is short staffed. They also informed me that there is no number to contact to resolve these issues. They have stopped responding to my messages on the platform. I have received no status update on my issue or what I can do to resolve this as quickly as possible. I called today and they said the same thing. I have never received such terrible customer service.

First time visit and excellent experience. NP Waugh was patient, thorough and kind. The office is clean, in a great location and both the staff and receptionists were pleasant and efficient. Needed a new PCP and so happy to have found NP Waugh.

A friendly staff with a great doctor. Did a full check up with Dr Kaplowitz. He was thorough and caring. Not the rushed feeling you usually get with most Drs offices . Definitely a pleasant experience with no major delays . Appointment went smooth and on time. 5 star experience

Dr. Chung has been my primary for decades. He's a good doctor, nice staff, and has a nice, modern office in Gramercy right off the train. Definitely recommend.

Dr Lui is amazing, súper profesional and caring. Her nurse is very detailed oriented and attentive, she made me feel comfortable from the moment that she said hello. The phlebotomist - painless blood draw and awesome. The 2 receptionist are incredible nice. A team that I will recommend to my family and friends. Spectacular job!!! ❤️

The staff was friendly and professional. Very helpful with uploading documentation and appointment time was kept. Office was very clean. I can’t compliment Christine Pipchick, PA, enough! She listened to my concerns, and took a lot of time to reach out to my other physicians regarding my case. She returned every call or email I sent very promptly. Her work on my case is a big contribution to my recovery!
I highly recommend her for her thoroughness and knowledge, competence and concern!

I like dr Kaplowitz. Very experienced Dr
I got total check up: blood exam. Heart exam. GYN is available at the office too
The office is very roomy and clean. Easy to make appointments because they have enough people working here, very organized

Nurse David d Leal rn consistently shows up to work under the influence of crystal meth GBL and katenine and should not be trusted with anyone's loved oones

Dr. Chung tells me I have leg pain because I'm overweight and my pants are too tight. I saw a new GP that listens, turns out I have a heart condition. Great work!
Dont even get me started on his horrendous administrative services that cancel appointments and call to inform you when you're on the way up the elevator. Thanks!

I've been seeing Dr. Chung for a while now and I always appreciate how attentive he is and how clear his explanations are. He doesn't just throw around medical jargon, he uses anatomy visuals to help me understand what's happening. The entire team has always been friendly and provide an excellent experience.

Came here for a new PCP and a physical. The whole staff were excellent and so kind! I saw Dr Lui who had a great bedside manner and listened to all my concerns and questions. Shelia who did my blood draw was incredible! She saw how nervous I was and kept making sure that I was ok and made conversation with me to get my mind off it! I will be using this place as my primary care physician from now on!

Never have seen such rude, uncaring, cruel, judgemental nurses! This hospital has the worst nurses (maybe not all but allot) I've ever came in contact with! As a person with congested heart failure I will rather die at home then step foot in this hospital again!

Excellent medical practice. I've been seeing Dr. Bruce Chung for more than 19 years and he is one of the best doctors I have encountered. Dr. Chung always takes the time to listen and discuss all of the available options. As a primary care physician, he is top notch. The practice is well run, and I have never had any issues with billing or the front office staff who are always friendly specially Ms. Nobu. She is kind and very helpful when I need to make an appointment. The nurses staff are very nice. Both Ms. Mei and Ms. Shela are very nice nurses. If you need to draw blood test, the nurses do a great job on site and they make me feel relax and comfortable. The online patient portal lets the doctor send you notes on lab results explaining them to you (in addition to all of the numbers), which is much better than just getting a summary or numbers. I highly recommend Dr. Chung to everyone.

I love everything about this place. Beautiful space, lovely desk staff, and kind, very skilled nurses. Dr Chung has always been patient and informative, but this year he quite possibly saved my life. He helped me figure out that I have a very rare condition that normally isn’t diagnosed for a decade and I found out within months. Now I am feeling amazing. I am so grateful to him and the entire staff.

The truth is that when an institution is made up of people who are really committed to the service and well-being of people, it shows! I filed a complaint with this platform which in less than 24 hours was taken into account and I am quite happy that it was so because it shows that they are people who are at the service of people and willing to improve and maintain the quality in their institution, very good work and I hope that it always stays that way, that they are one of the most prestigious places and with such good human quality, congratulations for your management definitely this hospital has the best manager and people in charge!!!!

I love Dr Kap!
I went through 3 doctors after moving here to find a good doctor. This man and his wonderful staff is my doctor for life. He's attentive, thorough and listens.

I’ve done my immigration medical exam here. I would say this office has a good vibe, and everyone is fridndly. From check-in to testing, the entire process is efficient and seamless.

Horrible treatment on 9/16 I came to this hospital waited 3 hours and more to be seen. On 9/17 I was seen in the ER the nurse was horrible. I was left with an empty IV drip for a while. She dismissed me when I was seeking some assistance. That nurse knew I was pregnant. She didn’t even bother to check in once in a while. I seen people wait 2 hours for discharge papers.

I needed the yellow fever vaccine for a trip. They had multiple open appointments available even the same day. They were even on at 6 pm on a Friday for convenience. The price is $100 cheaper paying by cash than going to an urgent care that carries the vaccine.. Staff was very nice and organized. Doctor was informative and quick. Was seen right away. I would recommend definitely.

I had my first appointment with Dr. Levy today and I left feeling not only heard but like I have an ally when it comes to my physical and mental health. It was the first time since IPads were invented that a doctor took the time to sit me down in their own personal office and looked me in the eye while getting to know me as a person as whole. I was so much more comfortable because I wasn’t sitting on a paper covered examination table staring at the doctor’s back while they typed. He is the epitome of the type of doctor that takes the time to listen their patients and fully explore their needs. Doctors like him are quickly fading due to insurance companies so I highly recommend him to anyone seeking quality and personalized healthcare.

Extremely fast and professional! Great service!!

I think used to be a participant members at New York Presbyterian hospital.l am also one participant.this differ from another.l learn that levels are all difference.l get better.l am forever nice and together

Worst hospital I’ve ever been to. They left an open head wound bleeding for 2 hours. Then when I returned to get my stitches out they left 3 stitches in. All nurses were rude and didn’t help me feel better after a traumatic bike wreck

We went there for visa examination for my parents. It was easy to take the appointment. From reception to examiner , everyone is very nice , polite. We went earlier than the appointment time and we didn’t have to wait . If you are coming from other state , please keep in mind that you might have to pay a good amount of money for parking. We parked our car for little bit over 3 hours and we paid 64$ including taxes. For the health examination we paid $800 . It’s too expensive but no other option as we came from CT.

I have done my visa medical here . It was an awesome seamless experience. Every member of the facility who participated in helping from booking appointment to consult are very generous, patient and well communicated.

Went there for a medical exam for Australian Immigration. Booking the appointment was easy but they don't send a confirmation message or email which was a bit inconvenient.
Staff at the facility was great. Everyone starting from the receptionist to the examiner was extremely polite. Cost for the exam was high but this was the only option near Boston.

51 years ago I was a young teenager and wanted to be an artist. But my life changed dramatically when suddenly I became very sick. I lived with my parents in Washington Heights and they admitted me to this hospital where I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. I stayed here for 10 days as the nurses helped me adjust and understand my new life as a diabetic. They were very kind and caring and taught me how to take my shots and test my blood sugars. I painted a greeting card for them and wrote a poem inside it. They put it under the glass at the reception desk. I wonder where it is now. I'm sure the nurses are just as caring now as they were then. I just want to let you all know I'm still around and to tell you thank you for giving me hope and life :)

Going to Dr. Kaplowitz was a very interesting and new experience for me, and I’m really impressed with how I was treated overall. I have been used to going to physicians who give you a passive treatment, but the thoroughness and care of this staff really impressed me. Kaplowitz is an extremely intelligent doctor, and there are a lot of unique aspects to his office. For one he uses a lot of ultrasound technology to garner better, more accurate diagnosis’. I went here to get a physical expecting to be out in 30 minutes, but it ended up taking 2 1/2 hours because of this. Make sure you plan ahead if you are getting anything like this! They will give you a lot of tests to make sure you get the most accurate results possible. I was not expecting to get this kind of treatment, because I’m used to doctors not investing this much in their patients, but in retrospect it is much appreciated! The nurse Kimberley was such a sweetheart, as was krystal who works at the front desk. My only complaint is that the woman who was doing the ultrasound was talking on her phone while she was working, which I thought was kind of rude. Besides that it was a positive experience.

1. I called Dr. Levy's CELL PHONE on a work holiday, and he answered. He politely told me he could fit me in first thing the next day and even told me where to park. 2. The people who took my information were quick and professional. 3. The Doctor who examined me was wonderful and the nurse practitioner was the same. They were both super thoughtful and great to work with. 4. Dr. Levy stepped into the exam room to introduce himself. He was so kind and funny. Honestly, my new favorite doctor. 5. Several days later I followed up to see if they can expedite the process, by sending my information to immigration. The obliged and responded to my email within minutes.
Overall: Incredible people, incredible service, and easily the best experience I've had with a doctor.

Dr, Kap and his staff provide excellent medical services,,, this isn't a drive-by doctor's visit, where the doctor is rushing to get to his next patient. Dr. Kap takes the time to listen and will give his professional opinion. He treats the whole body as unit, not just a single ailment. This is why I changed my primary care to Dr. Kap's office/ Ben Queens NY.

I had such a great experience. I needed a medical exam for immigration. Everything was so organized. I was seen quickly and had all my questions answered. Everyone was very friendly and polite.

Dr Kaplowitz is an EXCELLENT Physician! He is EXTREMELY thorough and caring and genuinely loves helping people. He gives you personalized care .The office is very clean and neat , the staff , are wonderful people and very kind .

Went to the clinic to save time versus going to my PCP. Was told to pay up front and that there would be no hidden fees which I verified on their website. After I paid and waited to see the doctor the doctor discouraged me and said I did not need him. I continue anyway after we have a conversation about risks. I end up with a second bill 4 months later from Quest Diagnostics saying I owe money for the lab equipment used. When I call it appears they are closed for further notice and Quest Diagnostics does not provide customer support and just sticks you with a bill.

Dr. Slava is a quick and a no nonsense kind of doctor. He is kind and warm but gets right to the point. This is exactly what I'm looking for in a quick doctors appointment. I wish I could have been seen quicker but a 20 minute for a midtown doctor isn't bad at all. Highly recommend making Dr. Slava your go to!

I've been coming to Manhattan Family Practice since living in New York City and have referred it to anyone in my network. The facility is clean (oddly hard to come by), the staff is friendly, informative and super accessible. Highly recommend!

I've been going to City Care for over 10 years and absolutely love the doctors and staff here. They're extremely friendly and professional.
Their new location is also very beautiful. Plus they do blood work on site! It saves patients a lot of time as opposed to going to places like Quest to get blood work done. 💯

Great doctor, great guy. Very straight forward with everything. Reception is always a pleasure to work with and professional. Kap spends a generous amount of time making sure all billing and insurance matters are handled correctly and with complete transparency. Never any surprises.

I hate going to doctors and try to avoid it whenever possible.... but I love going to see Dr.Kap. He treats you like an adult, is warm and friendly, but also straight talking without BS. He positions himself as your partner in keeping your body healthy and acting as a 'master contractor' to any of the specialists you might need. It's up to you whether or not you want to take him up on that partnership, personally I haven't as much as I probably should, but that's through no fault of his...
