For years the staff at this clinic have been consistently rude, unhelpful, and lacking in basic customer service skills. I have never experienced medical staff who will not even wait for an acknowledgement that you’ve heard them before placing you on a hold, a transfer, or simply hanging up - there is simply a ‘click’ and a dial tone when you try to book a simple appointment. This is especially disheartening when you are ill, or have a medical concern, and you are treated with such disregard and disrespect. If you are not immediately placed on an unceremonious hold, the staff offer no pleasantries whatsoever; they are curt, speak contemptuously, and will happily cut you off (even if you’re in the middle of briefly explaining what you’d like to book an appointment for), and their tone is extremely uncaring and rough for front-of-house staff that are supposed to set the tone of the clinic. If you do manage to book an appointment, they are booked out months in advance, with an expectation of still waiting hours to be seen when you arrive for your scheduled time.

I have been a patient of Dr. Farhats for several years, and during that time she has slowly chipped away at my faith in Canada’s medical system. I have watched as my pets at their veterinarian have been treated with more regard, promptness, thoroughness, kindness, and follow-up for their medical concerns than I have ever received from Dr.Farhat as my primary care physician. Several times in the past she has refused to refer me to specialists, for reasons that were never explained. For one of these occasions I managed to secure my own appointment with a specialist by calling the clinic directly, and pleading to them that I was unable to breathe at home. I was diagnosed with several severe allergies, and given prescription allergy medications as well as an inhaler for emergencies incase my throat closed. Dr. Farhat was fine to send me home with nothing, after insinuating that I was being dramatic and looking for attention. I had left her clinic feeling frustrated, dismissed, hurt, and afraid for my health. Because it is so difficult to obtain another doctor in Canada however, I remained with her for several years after that. In this time, I neglected my own health rather than visit Dr.Farhat. I did not go for checkups, and did not address any concerns or issues that cropped up, as Dr. Farhat had begun to foster in me a distrust in medical professionals and the beginning stages of White Coat Syndrome. I would prefer to sit in walk-in clinics for hours if absolutely necessary, rather than attempt to call her clinic or be seen by her, as I knew what terrible treatment I would receive from Dr.Farhat and her staff if I did.

As I was collecting my medical records from Dr.Farhat’s clinic this past week, as I had finally had enough of her and her staff, she initiated physical contact with me in the form of a hug. I found this to be extremely unprofessional, and made me feel very uncomfortable in the moment. Why is my doctor, who is in a position of power over me as their patient, initiating an embrace with me as I am attempting to leave their practice? If I did not feel so strongly that I want to just leave this experience behind me, I would lodge a complaint against her with the Canadian Medical Association.

I strongly urge anyone looking for a new primary care physician to look elsewhere.

We visited this walk-in clinic for the first time. This place is like a well oiled machine, staff is amazing starting with the receptionist to Dr. Farhat. She is really a great physician, she did not rush us at all took the time to explain the findings of her PA and the plan. She is very kind and very empathetic.

I went with a very complicated concern, where my family doctor refused to discuss or pay attention to, and all I was getting from her is let's wait and see.

Dr. Farhat , took the time, asked me all the questions, and started with investigations. Dr. Farhat does not jump to medications right away, she does make sure that it is really needed, that's what I like about her.

It is one of the best clinic in Oakville, the clinic is very clean, and organized, and her staff is amazing, all my friends are her patients, and we are so blessed to have her in the area.

I will be returning to her clinic in the hope to become her patient.

Doctor Batavia is very caring and easy to communicate with. The staff are very courteous and place is well managed to provide good quality of care.

Dr Farhat is an incredible physician. She is passionate about medicine, caring and committed to her patients and works around the clock to serve those in need. She offers walk-in and other medical services at the clinic such as routine blood work and on-site cardiology. She follows-up with patients in a timely manner, she is incredibly professional and knowledgeable and she makes her patients feel heard and respected. She speaks a number of languages and is inclusive. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Dr Farhat kept the clinic open throughout COVID-19 and connected with patients via phone, as needed. Wait times are reasonable given the demands on the medical system and less support provided for family doctors.
I have recommended family and friends to her practice.

Dr Batavia has a good heart. I believe that there is no perfect physician but there’s something different about him that makes you want to come back.

My therapist found his comments disgusting. He dismisses and defends inappropriate behaviour and abuse.
Only good thing is he'll spend 30 minutes but only to say judgemental comments.
Otherwise his medical knowledge is just basic, you can use internet for.
He also would repeatedly ask personal questions that aren't medically related.

After moving from Niagara Region to Oakville I was worried I wouldn't find a family doctor but after visiting the Palms Walk-in and being seen by Dr. Haneen Al Gerrah, I was pleased she agreed to be my family doctor. Dr. Haneen and the rest of the doctors and staff at this clinic are very professional and attentive. The variety of family Practice and Specialists (Allergy, Pain Management, Aesthetics, Walk-In, etc) services at the clinic, with access to my health history makes it easy much easier for me to seek medical care in one place. There is a pharmacy which also makes this clinic very handy for all medical needs.

Dr. Batavia has been my doctor for over a decade. He is very patient and gives you time to discuss your health concerns. I also appreciate the fact that the wait times with appointments are very low and generally within a few mins of your scheduled time. The atmosphere at Palm Medical Center is inviting, clean, and organized. Ala is kind and helpful and even helped us with some things that were not a part of her job. You can always book your appointment the same day or the next day online. We never waited more than two days to see the doctor. Our family doctor is Dr. Shahad Abdulmajeed, and I believe she's capable and professional in what she's doing. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone seeking exceptional healthcare services.

As someone who has had many bad experiences with walk in clinics, Uptown Medical is hands down the *best* walk in clinic I’ve been to and I’m very surprised at the bad reviews.

Front desk staff is very nice and friendly. I was a new patient today and saw Dr Batavia within 30 minutes.

As for Dr Batavia himself, not much more to say other then that he is the perfect Dr. I have yet to see a more attentive and caring Dr.

This doctors office is a joke

The whole operation is ran by the two receptionists, they also cannot comprehend what I am asking of them on the phone.

I always wait 20-30 minute after my scheduled appointment time which is unacceptable.

The waiting “room” is 9 chairs all pushed together and is extremely small in size, very easy to get infected from someone even if they are sitting away from you.

I’m moving doctors on wednesday because of my experiences here.

Avoid this place if you can

The staff at Palms were and have been wonderful every visit. Today I went in for the horrible back pain, not knowing if they were even taking walk in appointments and they saw me in distress and made availability right away. They were so kind to me, even though I was a complete mess and I wanted to thank you. With the medication I received and some videos to follow I feel like I started to get better rather than worse.

The Dr. I saw, I apologize for not remembering names, was so kind and understanding. Even as she was about to leave, and sent the pharmacy the meds, she paused, because I had been in tears due to pain and wanted to know if I was okay. And I assured her I’ll be fine but her kindness was a nice change for going to doctors.

Also wanted to include, the pharmacy staff were so lovely, when i asked if they sold water, they didn’t, but as i was about to go next door to go buy some while waiting for my medication, the pharmacist/pharmacy tech offered me a glass of water. With how I was feeling it was really nice to be around such warm people.

Thank you again, I wish I could have said more in person.

By far the best GP I've ever had. I can usually get an appointment within 24 hours and they are very efficient, I never have to wait for my appointment. Dr. Batavia is approachable, knowledgeable, and responsible. He always follows up after prescribing new medicines.

I had a fantastic experience with my family doctor Dr. Shahad! A month ago, she performed minor surgery to remove a fast-growing wart from my face, and it couldn't have gone better. The procedure was incredibly smooth, and now I feel absolutely nothing. What's even more impressive is that there's hardly a trace of a scar on my face; you can't even tell I had surgery. I'm extremely grateful for her skill and expertise in making this process painless and practically invisible. I'd also like to extend a big thank you to the receptionists as well! They were incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, contributing to the overall positive experience. Highly recommend! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This is one of the best doctors anyone could go to. They are ALWAYS accomodating my family and I. Whether my concern is serious or not they always are always taking me seriously and go to great lengths to ensure you are well taken care of. The receptionists are also amazing as well as everyone in that facility. Ala (front desk) is such a sweet woman and she truly cares for all of the patients. You can tell that everyone there cares about the patients! Thank you guys for always taking care of my family!

The admin at this place are disgraceful! I booked an appointment for 11:15 - I am not a walk in patient. I sat there until 12:15 watching patient after patient come in and out. Not til I go to the counter and ask when my turn will be because I booked an appointment, did she say "oh okay you're next" taking ALL the same info I gave over the phone. I asked her 3 times if my name wasn't already on the list and she dodged the question.

Doctors are great, but that admin is trash. Why take approintments and not keep them? They were not an hour behind.

One of the most unwelcoming and strangest experiences with a medical professional. Staff at the reception were very friendly. The physician was a senior lady with a weird demeanour. She stood at the doorway asking questions, as if I’d knocked on her door trying to sell her a vacuum. I would never go back there again.

Dr. Woodcock is by far the best doctor I have ever seen. As a woman you get used to your doctor telling you that you complain too much and that what you're experiencing isn't real, but I have NEVER felt that way with Dr. Woodcock. I leave every appointment confident that he has my best interest in mind and is actually interested in helping me find solutions. He's never hesitant to offer different prescriptions or refer for additional testing, and he always explains every step of his thought process so you're both on the same page.

Dr. Woodcock is absolutely the best. He listens to all your concerns and cares a lot about his patients. He is very knowledgeable, humble, passionate, and friendly. We are lucky to have him as our family doctor.
