Top Lunch restaurants in Glastonbury, United States

I was looking for a coffee shop but this is more of a diner. Food was OK but nothing special (I had a sandwich). CASH ONLY or venmo.

I rarely leave poor reviews, especially for small businesses, but Glastonbury Coffee Shop has finally earned it after the nearly 20 years that I've experienced poor service and lacking meals here. I've always tried to give it another shot, and have always been disappointed. The food is subpar, the atmosphere is old and stale, and everything that you touch is sticky.

The incredibly rude staff is the worst issue here though. The servers are decidedly unwelcoming, and will make you feel as though you are an inconvenience to them as soon as you walk in the door.

There are so many better locally owned establishments to give your business to. Do not waste your time or money here.

This is by far one of the best restaurants in the greater hartford area. The food is just unbelievable, the waitstaff are always kind and the drinks actually have alcohol in them. If you're looking for some out of this world food that you can't get anywhere else come here.

Good breakfast friendly staff and fast service

Wow! Delicious food and they’re always consistent. They had our food out within 20 minutes. Service is excellent. Aesthetically pleasing. No complaints will be back soon. Highly recommend

I needed a caterer for my daughter's shower. And I was not disappointed in the service I received from the Spicy Green Bean! I worked with Jenna, and she was SO accomodating from start to finish. The food was great, and the girls who came to set up the chafers were awesome! I got so many compliments on the food that day! Everyone loved it! I highly encourage you to get your off site food from this establishment. You will not be sorry! Thank you Jenna for such a great experience!!!

If you’re looking for a fun menu for breakfast or lunch then you were found the place at The Spicy Greenbean. They are found a way to put new twists on old favorites. From their drinks to their food, everything is delicious. I highly recommend trying this restaurant out if you have not been there before.

This place might be good for locals/regulars and a cheap breakfast but it's not my cup of tea. Prefer Ken's corner and the breakfast places in Manchester like the Cosmic Omelette. I think the home fries are frozen and the eggs were a little too greasy and buttery for scrambled eggs. My husband's over easy which were better. The coffee tasted weak, and I am not a coffee person, and the OJ reminded me of Sunny D, which funny enough was the best part of my meal as it reminded me of my childhood. Bacon was good. Toast is toast. Sausage was Jimmy Dean's or something similar.

Had dinner in the restaurant, a selection of their Noshes (apps), fish tacos, empanadas, crispy Brussels and meatballs, just fantastic!! Drinks were delicious and the live music was good quality although a little loud for the dining room. The bar area is cute and looks to be a great hangout. Loved it will be back for sure!

I have gone to The Spicy Green Bean multiple times and it never ceases to amaze me.

The atmosphere is amazing and is only heightened by the art on the walls (some of which I have included in my pictures).
The food is always perfect, I was so excited I ate my food before I got to take a picture of it, I got the little burger sliders and my mom got a wrap.

The staff are kind and I am so glad this restaurant exists.

Let’s start with the staff: I was greeted with a smile and the young lady was beyond kind and sweet listened to everything I had to say ( dietary restrictions) she double checked everything!! Awesome: now the food just adds them to the next level, it was made hot fresh and quick! The home fries are to die for!! Highly recommend them!

FYI, this place is cash only. Outdated decor, BUT fabulous service and food. I got my order within minutes! Scrambled eggs and rye toast were great. Coffee was a 3 out of 5. I had wanted pancakes but they don't offer real maple syrup.

I didn't tell the waitress that I needed to leave for an appointment in 20 minutes, so when I got my order so quickly it was wonderful! Everyone working there was in a great mood and had good eye contact. I could tell there were some regulars eating at the counter and there was a nice banter with them and the 2 guys behind the counter.

Not 100% perfect, but I give it 5 stars for the great experience and good food.

We went here for the first time.

First when we entered we saw a band playing which was great.We decided to sit inside but bcz of the music it was too loud so we had to talk loudly.

We ordered the drinks from specials which was the hibiscus drink, it didn't have much alcohol in it but it was good.

Our appetizer came after good 30 min after we ordered. The hummus was great and the chips were fresh but the guacamole was bland.

Our food took like forever to come. We ordered the Jama asian persuasion with the salad and chips. The kettle chips were fresh. But the Jamaican chicken was very dry and overcooked.

Then we ordered the dessert and we wanted coffee with it which never came. However the chocolate truffle bomb was great and it was just the amount of chocolate I like. The strawberry cheesecake was good too and the chocolate peanut butter cake was ok.

Overall the service is very very slow here even for the slightest thing but the food is ok ok not that great like I read in all the reviews here. Not going back!

This restaurant is amazing. Loved it when it was down the street, love it even more now. A huge amount of small plates (between $6-12) , so it's a great place to go with friends and try a variety of food. If you go, don't leave without getting the PB+J wings and tomato soup, both are life changing.

Went there for brunch today, and the experience was miserable. My food took an hour to get and they forgot my friends. Hash was super dry and flavorless. Been before and was ok. Waitress didnt admit she forgot the food, and comp or apologize for anything. Really disappointed.

An amazing mom and pops place my wife and I are happy we found this place. There not expensive at all and the food was great perfect size I was totally happy with them and not over stuffed. I definitely recommend this place if your in Glastonbury I will definitely be back myself . P.s the coffee is amazing there you can tell everything I had was made with love . Thank you for the great service I received
