A decent pizza place. Some of the pizzas have unique touches from the chef, such as a soft-boiled egg on top. The place feels more like a food court rather than a restaurant. I think the experience at the bar would be better than at the table.

Been here a handful of times. The brick oven makes a good pizza... but it's just that. No real wow factor. Servers/greeters were nice but incredibly slow. Slow to take a drink order & slow to take our food order.

I'm not a fan of the "disco bar" atmosphere when I'm having a proper meal so this place was quite a disappointment to me. I ordered fresh mozzarella for appetizer which supposed to be fresh but it was very rubbery chewy and basil on top was very old. I ordered margarita pie and my husband ordered arugula pie but both very bad. Arugula pie wasn't completely cooked (the crust). And wine in a water glass is no no for me. Not coming back.

Nice place to meet friends. The place is large with rooftop picnic tables and canvas cover. Try to sit near the pizza oven if it is chilly.
Inside is a nice factory look with ample room for large crowds, good thing too.
We will be back.

I love this place for brunch! Great for if you want a little nicer spot in town. I was pleasantly surprised by the Mexican Torta. Still thinking about it..

The worst food, drinks and service in jersey city. Would not recommend- fish tacos tasted like they came straight from the sale aisle at ShopRite. The house wine was worse than cough syrup

You just look at this and tell me if this portion is enough for 2 people?
This was sold as doubled dish. The waiter specifically mentioned “our double pasta is enough for 2-3 people”. Well, I’m still starving and paid $26 for this:))
The place is nice but the stairs smell and waiters are not that friendly. I never go back there.
For happy hour menu you should also sit in the bar.

I live upstairs from this cafe. Every single time I order they mess up the order. That’s not the problem though. The problem is more the constant attitude they give when they screw up and don’t wanna make orders right. Literally, the rudest staff consistently that I’ve ever seen. Whether you’re kind or tip doesn’t matter they are SO RUDE. Last time here after three horrific interactions.

The food here was absolutely delicious. The stuffed rigatoni was hand made in house and both filling and vodka sauce absolutely delicious. The chicken was fried too juicy perfection and the peppers on top light and in perfect balance. Even the calamari was incredible.
This is definitely a hidden gem as the exterior is quite plain. We almost walked past. Interior is also older but quite charming and our waitress lovely and helpful. We will definitely be back for more delicious dishes!
Awesome neighborhood restaurant. Diverse menu, excellent food, good value, great staff, and really cozy atmosphere. Perfect for the family or an intimate meal. Highly recommend.

We haven’t been here for more than a year given we were dispointed with the dry brisket. Last night we were pleasantly surprised the brisket quality which was excellent. I hope this place remains consistent so we can come back with more frequency.

Might be a little too cozy but I don’t care. Great atmosphere.

Food was good: apps tasted good and the main meal was a huge plate.

Service was great. Server made sure everything was going well and everyone was satisfied with what they ordered.

Will be back.

Highly recommend this place! Wife and I decide to come here on Easter just us 2. We started trying random things from each section..and were NOT disappointed. We loved the food and drinks here. We will be back. Thank you to Patrick and Tino!!!
A must-visit if you're in Paula's Hook or visiting the Statue of Liberty. This is our neighborhood coffee shop and we love the baristas there - don't forget to tip!!! Highly recommend the Farmer's Plate. Breakfast and lunch options here, coffee, as well as some sweet treats and baked goods (if you come early enough). Easily accessible from the Marin Light Rail stop. Outdoor seating available in summer

Love it!
We’ve been to another location in Asbury around 2 years ago, but this week we went to their location in Jersey City

First of all it’s nice location close to Groce street path train station and all restaurants/ bars in JC downtown. Walkable distance to boardwalk as well

Place is huge, I can imagine they have waitlist on the weekend but if you up for a pizza during work week you won’t have to wait.

We were there on Tuesday and apparently they had some deal for 2 pizzas and beer for $40. It’s dirty cheap for JC!

Thin crust pizza was delicious. I wouldn’t say it’s the best pizza ever but quite decent.

Interior is well put, there’s plenty of space. Our waiter was amazing; he did not come to check on us every minute but at the same time he know exactly when to come and check on us.

Highly recommend

I Come here often and has always had great food and service. I’m a coffee lover and theirs is one of the best in JC in my opinion. The burgers are the right size for me with either fries or salad. Did not have breakfast here yet because the place is always busy which is a good sign.

Pros: cozy kitschy dining room (almost too cozy) with great oldies music soundtrack. A quick Uber ride from home. Cons: waited two hours for terrible food. Penne with chicken and sausage tasted like cardboard, marinara must have been poured straight out of the can of Hunts. Spouse found a piece of steel wool in his dinner. Dining room was so cozy there was a near collision. Looked like only two overworked servers serving. Overall awful experience. Will not be back.

The vibe here is really amazing. Lots of space and people visit here for drinks and food. There are a good amount of varieties of pizzas, pastas and some appetizers for everyone including Vegans and Vegetarians as well(Labelled as well). Tried out the mozzarella, that was what had attracted me to come to this place. It was alright, not as great as I expected, but still good. The pizza was pretty good. Also there are lots of varieties of drinks like cocktails which are unique. So definitely worth a try.

Loved this place. They have good cocktails and food. I had white door cocktail and it was very good.
For starters we had Broccoli Rabe which was Okay.
The pizza Winter Betty was delicious. All over this place is a good spot to chill with friends and family.
This café is a hidden gem in the heart of the city. The atmosphere is inviting, with cozy seating and warm lighting. Their burgers are a flavor explosion, cooked to perfection and topped with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The sandwiches are equally impressive, with a variety of fillings that cater to different tastes. The coffee is expertly brewed, delivering a rich and satisfying flavor. The pastries are a delightful accompaniment, freshly baked and utterly delicious. The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a welcoming experience for every visitor. Whether you're here for a quick burger fix or to savor a gourmet sandwich, this café provides the perfect ambiance. It's become my go-to spot for a satisfying meal. I highly recommend it to anyone in search of a charming, quality-driven dining experience.

Awesome, awesome spot. Food from apps to entrees (I had chicken parm) are generous portions and VERY good. We went here with a group of 12 for my birthday and not only was service good, the staff were so nice & fun. We kept adding music to the jukebox and when it was clear the rest of the restaurant patrons were also enjoying it, they turned it up a bit we all sang and the staff were soaking it up. We loved them (even the cooks were enjoying it!). All in all, quaint spot, but if you go with friends and want to shut the place down on a weekend night, they're happy to give you an unforgettable night.
Highly recommended and we will be back!!

A nice place for brunch! Great indoor design and the food is quite good. Really enjoyed their fries but expected the burger to be a bit more juicy :)

Great little Italian restaurant with an old world flair. I loved their linguini in white clam sauce which I ordered for takeout.

Tl;dr, the food really slaps but the coffee is kind of mid.
This place is kind of a hit or miss. The brunch is really good, but their matcha latte is very watery. Their burgers were good, but the Cajun salad I got had overcooked chicken and was drenched in a very sweet dressing. Their bulgogi rice bowl is definitely interesting, but the cheese on top kinda threw me off.
Thought this was a bar for 3 years. My mistake. Good old school Italian restaurant. Not a rushed experience. Staff was great, food was comforting. We’ll be back.

I just got a chai tea latte there a few moments ago! I didn't know I had about 4 bucks and 80 cents left to my name since I was shopping and washing clothes earlier. I had 60 bucks left to my name at the time and didn't know I went down to 4 or had 4 bucks to my name in general! The kind gentleman at the counter who works there with the white hat had took the liberty to pay off the rest of the 2 bucks for me—for the chai tea. And I honestly am truly grateful for their kindness! 🥺 ( I was the girl with the brown beanie hat and the white pajama pants with the stars and moon designs haha xD )

Also! Ive went there a few times for breakfast ( when I wasn't broke of course xD ) and their waffles as well as their espresso coffee's are out of this world. If I see this employee there again. I want to repay him for his kindness! ❤️☺️

Down below is the waffle I had there last time when I was out with my mother. The waffles? 100% I recommend! I also had their veggie burger a month and a half ago too! ( Picture down below ! ) Best veggie burger and french fries ever.

VB3...that's what the front desk at the Courtyard called it...oh and they called it delicious too...

Another solid recommendation from the locals.
VB3 was casual and Ryan and friends took good care of us. The arancini were served with an orange sauce...which I was curious about when I read it. Apparently, it works...don't know how, but it works.
Kim had the garparm fries and Nona's meatball...while I trusted that "Joe" knows his pizza. I think I won...Kim still thinks she won.
The meatballs are tender and tasty, the sauce is a good compliment but a little muted. The fries are better than most for me...I like a crunchy fry.
Joe's Special Pizza...that's a winner!!! It traveled all the way back to Canada and still tasted great. The sausage meat was balanced well with the onions and cheese. The part with the red onions was the best...I don't know if the different onions were put there on purpose of if they were running out of one kind...but ask for the red onions if you can.

VB3 is a solid 4.5 and yet one more time I wished for half stars.
The only minus at this moment is a front of the restaurant. Doesn't look fancy and first we thought it is deli. Under construction. Then service and food were excellent! Big portions and very tasty. Also service was great. Steak or burgers best! Recommend!

Stopped in for a ‘meatless Monday’ dinner. The Eggplant Rollatini with penne was excellent. Simple and hearty. It’s enough food for 2 people. The Malbec went well with it. Nice ambience, and not too noisy.
Nice bar to hangout in Newport, Jersey City. This place has a happy hour from 5PM to 7PM where there is beer and other drinks are served at reduced prices. Food also is cheap with the drinks in the happy hour. This place has a small pizzeria as well where you can take out pizza and stuff.

Tried out this place a few months back based on a friend’s recommendation and I must say, it was pretty good for a coffee shop. They had been ordering coffee and a few sandwiches from here pretty regularly so I had to try this place when I visited them.

We had a takeout order from this place for a couple of coffees and some sandwiches. The coffee was fantastic. I had mocha latte. For breakfast, I gave ham and cheese croissant a shot and my friends had ordered avocado toast and a chicken wrap. The food was amazing, albeit, on the expensive side. Everything tasted great and fresh, was cooked properly and wasn’t soggy or anything, which you typically expect from a coffee shop, unfortunately.

It was refreshing to try out this place and experience such amazing food and coffee.

Got two build-your-omelette to go with a latte. Ingredients are fresh and the latte was good. The wait time is short and the staff friendly.
Not fancy food but nothing bad about the omelette, you also got a lot to choose from. Would recommend for a quick drink too.

Cozy place in Newport. Good food. Tasty Italian food - pasta, pizza and bruschetta were all tasty.
Good service and a quiet place. We had been here for a weekend lunch and we enjoyed the quiet lunch.

The only drawback is the quantity of food. It’s very less. One entrée is not sufficient for one person. The portions are very small. Generally anywhere we go (especially Jersey City) we order one entrée for 2 of us. But here we had to order 3 entrées for 2 of us.
10 Stars overall! Such a bonafide and beyond delicious and fresh community, food gem.

The most amazing chicken parmigiana I or my wonderful husband ever had in Jersey City. And their BREAD PUDDING! Holy moly! It’s immaculate. Frank is a rare chef with a true passion for savory and sweet dishes! I feel so beyond lucky to alive during Beyoncé & Barge Inn. 😋💚♾
Great space and food! Friendly and attentive staff (Thanks Star). Free valet parking.

Went for brunch 7/27- wouldn't try the pancakes again, they were dense and dry
My new fav spot! #SummerFoodieLOVIN’ for real!
😋💚♾
7 stars for their PERFECT vegetarian RICE BALLS!

Great burger, Ryan the bartender and staff is fantastic, amazing Happy Hour M-F and love the ambiance and music here!
Go try it! Food is surprisingly excellent! We have been a regular for a few years as the place serves food late and has many choices depending on mood and hunger level - from healthy great salad and fish to heavier steak and burger.

My favorites - tuna nicoise salad, branzino, linguini with clams, flounder piccata, pasta fungi, steak, pizza with mushrooms. Drinks - federalist chardonnay or any great beer. For wine, the fact that they pour from a flask measured at the right level instead of inaccurate guessing says a lot about paying attention.

Jambalaya from special menu is also excellent! Great take on something from New Orleans, which is not easy to execute.

Appropriate glass depending on beer - enhances the experience. Also brings a small carafe that measures exactly a glass amount of wine, unlike many places that guess the amount.

Thank you!!
