We've ordered delivery from here many times in the past. This was our first time eating here. Food is even better fresh. Staff was very friendly and service was excellent. We were lucky to walk in and get a table for 2 at 6pm Friday as the place was full.

I’ve been to a lot of NYC’s top Indian restaurants, and I think Sathi has the best Indian food & service!

Food: the prie fix menu is a great bargain - you get a full-size entree, appetizer, and side (naan). The naans are huge! We also loved the crispy samosas and the amazing chutney that came with it.

Service: the staff was just so wonderful. They went above and beyond to delight us! We’ll definitely be back.

The lamb samosas were excellent, gamey, juicy, and well seasoned, in a crumbly wrapper. I liked the vegetable dumplings, especially after waiting a while for them to soak in the curry. I was less fond of the shrimp, even though it was perfectly fine, it just didn't wow me. The waiters were very nice, and that made a difference.

Authentic Indian restaurant with perfect indian cuisine.
All flavors were accurate.

Note that it is a small space, very popular for deliveries, hence - the atmosphere rated only at 3, as delivery people are coming in and out all the time.

I would recommend the restaurant to use another, preferably back, door for deliveries.

An absolutely wonderful restaurant. The food was delicious loved the momos, samosa chaat, dal tadka. The green chutney that came with papad was great. Service was quick. Staff was extremely attentive.

Genuinely some of the best Indian/Himalayan food I’ve had. Unbeatable special- includes appetizer, entree, rice, and either naan or a dessert for $23.95. Our server was extremely attentive and so sweet. Would return just for her! Our cups never went below below the halfway mark. Cool atmosphere, dark and quiet.

Overall rating: 4.75

I ended up having a large breakfast, so just had a snack here but the samosas were very good. I LOVED the mango lassi!!

The samosas are great but very hot. I think I had to wait a good 7-10 minutes before they cooled down.

While I only had two items, the service was so so nice. So nice & friendly it was very noticeable. Some of the menu items were a tad too expensive for menu, but definitely want to come back with a friend or a date.

Highly recommend.

Great hole in the wall place! Food is delicious and service was nice and super fast. They have plenty of sitting inside and outside. Very budget friendly. Lots of vegetarian options and big portions for a great price! Highly recommend.

I came here because of the high rating and was not disappointed. I was impressed with the flavors and how delicious everything was. Would highly recommend, especially if you are or are with vegetarians/vegans.

Absolutely gem of a place. A hidden part of new york. I would recommend this place over any fancy smancy restaurant in nyc. It's amazing. The food has so much flavor and spicy. The vegetable momos are to die for. The people working here are so sweet and the service is impeccable. I would definitely recommend to a friend. It's not white washed at all and feels totally authentic. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed
We had heard about Cafe Himalaya and decided to give it a try. I was worried that we might have to wait since the place is small and popular. But to our surprise, we were seated quickly without any wait. The restaurant has an authentic feel to it. We started with beef dumplings, which were really tasty. For the main course, I ordered Shapta and my wife had the Gyathuk Ngopa. Both dishes were delicious and not too spicy. I recommend trying the Lassi too, as it helps with the spiciness of the food. Overall, Cafe Himalaya exceeded our expectations, and I highly recommend giving it a visit.

Rare Tibetan food with a very good price. I haven’t tried Tibetan food even I’m a Chinese. The food taste like home cooked. I’d recommend the dumplings, which you can get half beef and half chicken, and the Tibentan tea with butter and salt.

It was incredibly difficult for me to make a choice of what to get because everything sounded amazing! I'm still dreaming about those pan fried potato dumplings. The tofu and vegetable curry with bean thread noodles was phenomenal as was a crispy noodle dish we also got. Beautiful flavors and hearty portions at great prices.

We randomly stumbled upon it and I'm so glad we did! Everything they provided us was absolutely scrumptious. Everything was sharing style which I love and everything came out very quickly. We sat outside on a warm breezy day so that made things even better. Our waiter was helpful with the menu and her recommendations were spot on too. If you're ever in Delancey street looking for a delicious quick bite, this place is it.
