One of our favorite restaurants. Our very favorite menu item is the puri sabji - fried bread with a delicious vegetable curry on the side. The sabji in particular makes me think it is the kind of thing Nepalis might eat at home every day. Usually we like momos and dumplings with meat, but the veggie momos here are the cheat winner and even the biggest meat eater won't miss the meat. I really love the chicken biryani as well, where a generous side of yogurt raita steals the show. Our kids love the chicken 65 which is listed as an appetizer but the size of an entree. It is another reminder (like the momos) that Nepal and Tibet are not far from China, as it is kind of a South Asian take on Chinese sweet and sour chicken and the like.

Honestly... I don't leave reviews often, but then again it's incredibly rare that I leave a place and am absolutely excited to come back again. The waitress was amazing, The food was Outstanding, and absolutely worth the price. An absolute joy of a place, that had a calming atmosphere.

This was the best restaurant experience I've had in a while! The woman who served us was exceptionally friendly and attentive but not overbearing. The portions were a great size for price and the food was absolutely fantastic! I will definitely be returning

I’ve been to this place for almost 2 to 3 times. Each time the experience is different. customer service needs improvement for sure. Each time we had to wait on the door for the server/host to notice us and tell us where to sit. I had chatpatey both times. The first time I went to eat chatpatey was 7/10. The last time I went to eat same food it was bland. 4/10. We ordered steamed momo and jhol momo. It was alright jhol momo seems like it was dumped in the tomato basil soup. I asked for spicy sauces which look like they only added chillies powder in their existing steam momo dipping.

This was my first experience with Nepalese food and it was so tasty. My husband and I split a 6 piece veg momo and a chicken Thukpa. The momo was flavorful and the pastry had a great texture. Really enjoyed the special momo sauce. The Thukpa was delicious. We had a 2 spice level. Enough for a little heat but not overwhelming. The chicken was so tender and there was plenty of veggies and noodles. The naan was perfect to soak up the soup broth. Service was also good, friendly and waters were always filled. Food came out timely. Overall a good experience!

Ordered takeout based on the high reviews. I always get the Butter chicken to get an idea of how flavorful these "Indian" like restaurants are. The good, large portion of chicken on the bowl, definitely no skimping on the meat. The bad, although the butter curry looked and smelled good, it lacked the "usual" butter chicken flavor I expected. It was a bland butter chicken, but the colors and aromas were there, so not sure what spice was missing, but the dish simply lacked flavor. Not sure if it was an off day given all the good reviews on this page, but don't think I'll be giving it another try.

We got the vegetarian nepali thali, amazing food. The veggies were delicious and fresh, and the host was very gracious. Would get food here again. Atmosphere and restrooms need an update though, much better if they would be cleaner and better equipped. So might get takeout..

I enjoyed the thali 😍😍 great service, great food. 👍

The food here is very good I recommend it. I come here often, almost every single week. The price is reasonable and not expensive for very good quality. So far the best Nepali restaurant I’ve ever visited. Will be coming here for more years.

This is my first time going there, and the food was delicious. I've not had Nepalese food before, but I'm glad I tried it.
If you're looking to try a new food and you like flavor, then this is a great place to try. It's Indian food adjacent, so if you're familiar with Indian food this won't seem too far off.
We tried two appetizers and two dishes split amongst the table and we still had left overs. The serving sizes were good.

You don't need to climb this Everest just "because it's there". The flavors are definitely a big enough draw. In my opinion this is the best Indian/Tibetan food in St. Paul. The curries and momos are absolutely phenomenal. The only thing on the menu I would say isn't amazing is their bread, which is still pretty good but I've had better at other places. Still, I love it and I will keep coming back for more. Would recommend.

i have been meaning to try this place out and it did not disappoint. the pyaji (onion fritters) was sooo good. probably one of my favorites from this order. we got the veg chowmein, veg momos, dal & gulab jamun. the dal wasn't my favorite and I probably wouldn't order again

Small place, fantastic food and brought back lovely memories of street food chow mein and momos we have grown up eating. We ordered the vegetarian chow mein, vegetable momos, and vegetable thupka! We ordered medium spicy and found the food to be adequately hot ( maybe slightly too hot for us), nevertheless we loved every bite of the food. Highly recommend that you visit/take out food from here. We’ll be back again !

Great authentic spot in a calm area, good street parking access.
The food came out pretty fast for a party of 3+
If you love spicy food, this place offers a great range of spice from 1-6 levels of increasing spice.
Stick to levels 2 and below for little to no spice.
Great variety of options for vegetarian, vegan, and meat proteins.

I’ve been to EoG half dozen times or so and each time my meals were outstanding. The samosa chat, the naan, and momo’s are great sides/apps. The curry though, wow. It can seem on the spendy side but the price is commensurate to the quality. The lamb masala in particular is simply outstanding. If you are into the vegetarian options the Chana masala is superb. Good quality protein and good portions.

I visited Nepal in 2011 and for 4 weeks I dined on some amazing Nepali dishes and ate my fill of veggie Momo and Milk Tea. I haven’t had authentic Nepali food since…until I visited this restaurant. Tears of joy were shed when I tasted their milk tea- transporting me back to my summer in Nepal. Will ABSOLUTELY be coming back here soon! The veggie momo was delicious and the mild sauce perfect. Garlic naan so crisp!

Food is fantastic. Service is just as good. My wife and I were able to hang out with the owners kids while we ate. This made the experience much better, made it feel likehome.

First time here, we loved it! Small place. Food was served fast, hot and it was very tasty. The staff was friendly. Our favorite dish was the shrimp Chillie, it was bit spicy even though we asked for medium spice but delicious. If you do not eat spicy foods ask for it without the hot spices. The noodles were very good too. We also had shrimp cumin curry which was very good as well. Oh, and the naan bread with the butter was delicious. Our mango Lassi were also very tasty. We will definitely be coming back.

I dunno what to say. I have been coming here since 2006 or so but had moved outta town in 2021. I was excited to come for lunch last week but was honestly disappointed. Quality is down and prices are way up. Menu is smaller than I remember. My mango lassi was half the size of other places. My lamb was dry. That with nann cost over 40 dollars. I won’t be back for a while. Hope it was just a fluke.

Taste of Nepal is a great place! The food was spectacular! We got quite a few different dishes and each one was tasty and authentic. The atmosphere felt very modern and fresh with some traditional touches. The service was quick and friendly. Thank you! We will absolutely come back again.

It must be the location that makes stuff cost more than it should. $22 just for chicken Tikka masala which wasn't anything more special than you'd find elsewhere for $16. The wait after ordering on a Friday night was over an hour so they must be short staffed. I think they were handling to go orders as the priority. Food was fine, just a long wait and you'll pay for it.

The best Nepali Restaurant I could find in entire Minnesota. They were nice. Restaurant was clean and food was really good at very reasonable price!! Keep it up. Will see you guys soon again.

The new shorter menu has familiar North Indian dishes. But in the back you can find the Nepalese items. Chicken Momo is one - a type of dumplings like Dim Sim with a fiery sauce. We had some Nepalese vegetables and a chicken appetizer that was lovely.

Went here with a friend. First time for me. The food was amazing! Well seasoned & very fresh!
Start with those buffet so you can try a little of everything!
I really enjoyed the buttered rice, seasoned okra & curried goat!
