Very friendly staff at the hotel. The hotel room was quite tired but bedding and shower etc. was clean, and the bed was very comfortable. We would like to say a special thank you to Sonia, our waitress who was always cheerful even when she was under pressure.

Had a lovely few days away. Hotel reasonable, could do with a bit of an upgrade in places. Floorboards very creaky. Ceiling in corridors in need of repair, lots of holes and missed tiles but you can see that work is being done. Big room with sea view, beds very comfortable. Dining room very nice and buffet breakfast was lovely. The staff are extremely friendly and very helpful, would definitely go again.

This should be far more than five stars in every category! The warmth and hospitality were beyond description. We were immediately offered tea and scones overlooking the sea. The Light room was absolutely gorgeous. Breakfast was wonderful in the diningroom. We loved the lighthouse, but it was so enhanced by Ray and Fiona, and their son, Jason. Highly highly recommend!

Nice short stay at the County Hotel, we took in a show at Venue cymru, which was a 5-minute walk.
The room was OK, a bit dated, no smart TV, wifi was OK, shower and bath was good, the bed was to soft for our comfort, the breakfast was excellent, great choice full English or continental with nice views. friendly staff and great location. we walked to both Ormes Great and small, met some donkeys on the way. In all good enough for our short stay.

We had a lovely sea view room, food was mainly good with the exception of fish and chips one day and a kitchen problem preventing us from getting the meal we had ordered. Location is at the quiet end of the promenade, a long walk to the pier and town centre.

Hosts were the star of the show, accommodating and knowledgeable. Great breakfast, local produce. Rooms are all exceptional.

Budget hotel, our bedroom/shower room really in need of updating, couldn't shut sliding bathroom door properly, bed was better than expected. Some lovely old style features in social areas. Buffet Breakfast was rather chaotic, as only open for 1 hr, & short staffed it seemed (supposedly 8am - 9.15am) but start clearing food away at 9am !!

Very dated
We were on 3rd floor with great sea views
BUT the lift was out of order
Climbing those stairs for us in our 70s was very hard work
Also because there were "2 coaches in" they had shut the restaurant well before the advertised time

We had a lovely view to the sea front from our room ,which was the best thing about the hotel. Hotel needed up dating. With our stay we had a member of staff knocking on our bedroom door every time we had a shower to say that the water was coming down through the ceiling and into the room below. Not the best holiday ,so will not be returning.

Nice hotel, not too far away from the town centre, plenty of street parking. No complaints about the place, we didn't stay for breakfast, but the eating area and bar looked pleasant. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay again.

Wow... A proper bucket list stay!

How many of you can say, "I stayed in a lighthouse and watched the sunset"?

Well.. You certainly can if you stay here!

Intentionally small, there's a personal family atmosphere about the place. Excellent breakfast too! The owners are fantastic, friendly and welcoming. You soon feel right at home and privileged to share such a fantastic setting. The bathrooms are modern, but the rest of the room is 100% period. (as it should be). I cannot recommend a stay here enough! A "Must Visit" place. You'll NOT be disappointed!

It is absolutely fantastic, so much history in one building. The rooms are fantastic we were a party of 6 and used all 3 rooms, each one had its own unique style. The views are brilliant, it must be fantastic to live there and watch the weather change, experience storms and crashing waves. Ray and Fiona are fantastic hosts. The welcome was really friendly, and nothing was too much trouble, they make you feel like part of the family. The breakfast was freshly cooked and very filling, and set us up for the rest of the day. Hope to return in the summer.

Absolutely amazing place to stay. Full of history with period decor . Every where you look there is something of historic interest. A lovely location with great views. Fiona & Ray are lovely hosts . The Breakfast fresh and tasty, including the vegetarian breakfast . I would love to live permanently there.
My husband, who planned a trip to North Wales, surprised me with a stay at this amazing property. If I was to headline this, it would read: Come for the Experience but Stay for Ray! I was floored when we pulled up to this old lighthouse turned B&B. My husband had booked the Lamp Room. The lamp is now housed in a museum at the summit of Great Orme and, in its place, is a comfy living room for anyone fortunate enough to stay in it. I could go on and on about the joy of staying on a cliff high above the Irish Sea with gulls gliding by our 180-degree glass enclosure with seals and numerous other waterfowl on the rocks below and sheep and Kashmir goats wandering by but I MUST talk about the owners. Ray and Fiona, who have been running this fine lodging for 19 years, could not have been more welcoming and helpful. Fiona thought of everything to make the stay enjoyable from robes to snacks to cooking according to dietary preferences/restrictions. Her breakfasts were fabulous and her decor choices added to the special feel of the place. Ray helped plan our stay with invaluable insights as to what we must see and do while in the Llandudno area. We would have missed some truly special sights and moments if we had not taken his advice. We have traveled extensively throughout the world and stayed at many mom-and-pop establishments. No one beats Ray and Fiona for hospitality. No one. Plus, they have a very sweet rescue dog, Luna, which comes out only upon request. Ray and Fiona are so considerate that they don't even assume everyone appreciates dogs. You have to ask to see her and what a love she is! This is a special occasion place if there ever was one.

We stayed two nights in the Telegraph room. What a memorable experience! Our hosts, Fiona and Ray, were very welcoming and accommodating. The the interior is beautiful and there are lots of details to explore. The accommodation is comfortable and at the same time evokes times gone by. Even though there were howling winds outside the first night, we felt very cosy and safe in the bedroom. The traditional cooked breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The Lighthouse was also a perfect base for walks on the gorgeous Great Orme. Highly recommend.
