This is a great place to stay! It is clean, quiet, well-kept and offers delicious continental breakfast! My husband and I loved that it is close to the beach and town. We were also given an extremely warm welcome by the receptionist - a lovely Latina/Hispanic woman whose name we unfortunately never caught, and who gave us all the information about the facilities and the area. We highly recommend this hotel looking to stay in yhe area and will be returning ourselves.

My partner and I stayed here for our small vacation in St. Pete. The front desk service was great. Gave good suggestions on restaurants in the area. Room was clean and spacious. Will stay here again if we return to the area.

Super nice people, cool historic hotel. Call direct to the front desk and skip online! I had a special situation and there was no help online. The lady at the desk was able to accommodate my needs and my stay was awesome as a result. I’ll definitely send friends and my customers for day trips in St.Pete!
I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel. From check-in to breakfast to our room. It was perfection. We were very happy with everything. The room is charming and tastefully, decorated and simple. No flash, no glitter. Just what we were looking for. it reminded us of a time long ago and yet it had all the modern amenities of now. We will definitely be looking to stay here again anytime we are in town. The information provided on the email before we arrived gave us everything we needed for a check in so that we could go right to our room. An awesome idea! Thank you so much!

I have been trying to find this location since I’ve first stayed in it back in 2017. It was a hidden gem through a third party site which my now husband found. I’ll just say the stay was absolutely the best even though it was short lived, we used it as a one night stay after our late flight into Tampa. The room was nice and cool and roomy. The breakfast was absolutely the best. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. If the opportunity comes again to stay in St Petersburg we will most likely stay there again.

Opened over a century ago as a winter home playground for the filthy rich, this place is simply charming. Many celebrities stayed here, including Babe Ruth and Marilyn Monroe. The staff is unbelievably kind and welcoming. The rooms are quite clean and quiet, and in the mornings the smell of maple bacon wafts through the corridors. They have a lovely butterfly garden, and a spacious veranda that gives a nice view. To stay at this place is a real treat, and I plan on staying there again down the road! My highest recommendation!

My daughter and I stayed here in late June. We both loved it. Our room did have a slope to the floor but it is over 100 years old and on the 3rd floor. It took some getting used to. The location is great, so close to treasure island and not far from downtown. Breakfast was fresh and excellent. Coffee served near the lobby is delicious. Staff was so friendly, the woman at the front desk was beyond helpful. We loved our stay and will be back again.

Made a reservation on June 1 for a stay later in the month. Realized immediately afterwards that I had chosen the wrong weekend and tried to call the number on the website. The message instructed to send a text for faster service, so I did. 24 hours later no response, so I left a message on the voice mail AND sent another text. Two days now and still no answer, no response after having sent a text to the "property manager" (who has no voicemail set up) and left yet another a voicemail on Wendy's "mobile office". Decided to cancel but at the moment my only option is to dispute the charge (which was immediately placed on my card on June 1) and hope that actually gets someone's attention.

My family and I just stayed here and we’re all blown away by everything here. It was so cool seeing each individual room different, you don’t really see that anymore but it was truly amazing. Each room was well equipped with a fridge and microwave, rooms were also very clean upon arriving. The staff was so sweet and tried to help at any giving point! But don’t even get me started on the breakfast. They had so much variety! The food was so good as well. The whole hotel gave off just such a comfy cozy vibe and we will definitely be back. Not to mention the super cool history! We were lucky enough to stay in the Marilynn Monroe which was awesome. As a history buff I loved learning about all the history that went on there. If you’re going to St. Pete, go here! It truly is a great experience.

Excuse the long, but necessary, review: Should not be described as a B&B… much more appropriate to call it a rooming house. I surprised my husband with a weekend away for his birthday & made the reservation with Wendy over the phone. She indicated she was the owner, & promised “champagne & dessert“ when we arrived. In addition, she offered us the e-bikes on Saturday & assured me they had been reserved for us.
The week of our stay I had to reach out to them for confirmation & check in instructions. Both Wendy & Brooke (who was supposed to be the property manager?) assured me that the e-bikes were reserved for us. As requested, I advised Brooke what time I would arrive (between 6-7p Friday).
Upon arrival, no one was there to greet us or let us in. I had to call & text multiple times- Wendy called me back & apologized, assuring there would be a “lavish spread” for breakfast to impress us, after this not-so-stellar arrival. There was certainly no “champagne & dessert” to greet us.
Saturday morning there was no “spread”. There was no one in the kitchen who works there- just several guests milling about, of which one couple told me they have been there several days & there has been little to no service, just a “help yourself” communal kitchen. This is NOT a bed & breakfast.
We go out for coffee & I start reaching out to Brooke about the promised reserved e-bikes; she initially says she will arrive soon to provide them. Shortly after she texts that there are no bikes because they are out “being serviced” & they were working on finding e-bikes for us. I responded that this was “not great”. I heard nothing else from her.
The bikes were a big deal. I could have easily brought my own bikes, but had been assured multiple times that e-bikes would be there for us. If you have ever used the St. Pete bike rental service then you are aware that it is difficult to use and subpar in comparison with other major cities.
In summary, the service is nonexistent & calling this a B&B is false advertising. In addition, the mattress was of the springy bouncy uncomfortable variety, which is generally seen as inferior by even standard hotels. The rooms do not cool well. This is bearable in February; I can see it being a big issue in the summer heat.
It’s unfortunate this was my husband’s first experience with a “B&B”. I’ll have a hard time convincing him to try a different one, & there are great ones out there- this just isn’t one.

With great appreciation for quality of service and accommodations, my wife and I enthusiastically recommend a stay at Wendy Stevens’ Bay Street Inn in the Historic Northeast of St. Petersburg’s Downtown District.

We had truly been offered the most professional service and courtesy that, in essence, has been nothing short of spectacular. Both Wendy, a supreme host with every local connection to St. Petersburg’s most desirable amenities and her ambassador and all-around superb gentleman, David, paid the strictest attention to all critical details and reliably prompt responses proved to meet hospitality commitments that truly went the extra mile! Wendy, it is evident to us that you and your team truly took on the responsibility along with the full measurement of accountability.

If you are not familiar with the east side of this peninsula, St. Petersburg continues to blossom like a flower and is readying itself for a new era and generation. However, it still maintains family fun activities and an historic element with exquisite museums and sightseeing, that from time to time offers a jet-set community with beautiful people, cars, fashion, and trendy eateries. A little something for everyone, just a 5 minute walk from the stunning Bay Street Inn.

We are very likely to be back again soon for another stay and are grateful to have been the recipients of this commitment to excellence!

Was an absolutely perfect weekend! The King Suite A has both a luxury and vintage appeal, and the main house is comfortable and charming. Delicious lox and bagels for breakfast made to order, comfy nooks to play cards and drink wine for ax quiet night in. 5-10 minute walk to Vinoy park, pier, and Beach drive where you can satiate all of your culinary desires while listening to live music. Best place to stay for sure in this area. This place is definitely our new weekend getaway! Wendy the owner is amazing and will spoil you for sure.

Perfect location in old town St Petersburg. Within walking distance from all of the sites, market, pier and restaurants. The room was spacious and clean with a very comfortable bed. Plus the hosts Wendy and Brooke were extremely gracious as super hosts!

Truly the place to stay in St. Pete. The King Suite was perfect - kitchenette with microwave, small refrigerator, and Nespresso machine, very comfortable bed, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and huge jacuzzi tub. Couldn’t ask for more! The location was ideal and within walking distance of anything you would want to do in St. Pete (the Pier, museums, parks, shopping, movies, restaurants). Wendy made everything so easy and was always available. Highly recommend and will stay here again (even to just see Rudolph)!

Took my wife for a weekend getaway. The second we arrived the property manager was outside to greet us. The suite was very clean, the service was phenomenal! Champagne in our suite and lot of other goodies! Snacks, water, OJ, yogurt plus more. Breakfast was great we both had the Lox Bagels. We will be back. Book now. Thank you again Brooke for all of your help at making my wife and I feel special. We will see you again soon!

I would highly recommend staying at this beautiful Inn. The overall experience we had was amazing. Brooke was so quick to respond to anything we asked for. The neighborhood was so quaint and safe to walk around. It was just a short walk to fine dining and shopping. Let Brooke help you enjoy a great stay in Beautiful Saint Petersburg Florida. Where the sun is guaranteed to shine!
