Dear Express Customer Service,
I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service I received at your Express clothing store on September 29, 2023, at around 3:00 pm. I visited the store with the intention of purchasing a suit for my upcoming wedding, a significant and memorable event in my life.
Upon entering the store, I approached the sales associates to seek assistance and inquire about sizing. To my dismay, I was met with a complete lack of professionalism and customer service. The employees I encountered seemed disinterested and unwilling to provide any guidance. Instead of helping me, they dismissively directed me to "check on the rack" as if it were a self-service store.
What was even more disheartening was the attitude displayed by the staff. They not only failed to assist me, but they also exhibited a disrespectful and dismissive demeanor. Despite my politeness and courtesy in asking questions and making requests, I was met with indifference and, at times, outright rudeness.
To make matters worse, I observed the employees engaging in inappropriate discussions among themselves while neglecting their duties to assist customers. It was unprofessional and made me feel unwelcome as a customer.
I must emphasize that I have never experienced such poor service at any retail establishment, let alone an Express store. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and frustrated with the brand that I had previously regarded positively.
I sincerely hope that you will address these issues promptly to ensure that other customers do not have to endure such an unpleasant shopping experience. As a loyal customer, I believe that Express should uphold its reputation for quality and customer service, which was regrettably lacking during my visit.
I would appreciate it if you could investigate this matter and take the necessary steps to improve the customer service at this particular store. A positive shopping experience is essential for customer loyalty, and I hope that my feedback can contribute to enhancing the overall shopping environment at Express.

There is no doubt they have new collection always! But I was in cashier counter morethen 15 minutes where no casher at counter!

We've visited many different outlet malls. This one seemed to have a better than usual offering of name-brand stores. In the stores we visited, the products were well stocked and displayed. Employees were friendly and greeted us upon entering each store. On the map it looked like this one was all indoors, but it was an outdoor walking mall. Given the heat index of 110 degrees on the day we visited, it was probably less enjoyable than during nicer weather. Portions of the outdoor walking area are covered which helped create some shade and would help limit snowfall on the walkway in the winter. If it is raining, you'll still want an umbrella for the many areas that do not have overhead covering. The parking area is in the perimeter of the shopping area, so be prepared to walk quite a bit. It took us about 2.5 hours to see only a few stores. It seems similar to the size of a zoo or amusement park spread out over what seemed like a large area.

I love express .. However the Fox Valley store gets a ZERO for customer service. Especially the store manager Hannah. Sadly I just observed her been super rude, and inpatient to a customer who only wanted to exchange a shirt and spoke very little English . The lady exchanging the shirt had her little 8 year old girls translating for her. When the manager walked away irritated that she had to go look for another size, The lady said to her girls she wanted to cry and felt helplessness because of the way she was been treated at a place where she is spending Money.. Although the manager did not speak Spanish, she could have gotten help from the other employees at the store who might have spoken Spanish , or she could have shown more patience,
respect and compassion to someone who is spending their money there and needed help ! …I felt compelled to write this review on the lady’s behalf.. I was next in line and to my surprise Hannah’s attitude was still the same. Arrogant, unfriendly and just flat our RUDE! She asked me for a tracking number which I did not have, she told me to look it up in my email. I mentioned I have returned clothes before w/o needing other than my ID, my express credit card , or phone number. After struggling to find it in my emails she finally got fed up and asked me to just enter my phone number which could’ve been done when I first said I didn’t have it.. When I asked for a manger she arrogantly said “I am the manager” .. Which was even more DISSAPOINTING!!! How can someone like Hanna be in charge of the store 🤯??!!….So far the worst experience at my favorite store !
And to the lady who wanted to cry! Keep your head up and don’t let ignorant rude people ruin your day .

Staff doesn't know how to speak to guests. I will never shop here again and I would advice others to do the same. I had a cart full of clothes and because of the staff's attitude I walked out. With the way they are handling things it won't be long before they close down. Upon checking it was the manager who was very rude and her name is ilandes or something of that sort.

I’m leaving a review here because I can’t at my local store you shut down. You closed Bradley, Illinois and it’s the only place anyone shopped. The staff worked there forever and always helpful. Now you’re forced to drive to other locations, pay higher taxes and the experience isn’t the same. For the first time ever, I bought a button up shirt from Kohls because it’s close. I am not the only disappointed. Express, you really screwed up. I hope the staff that was there is taken care of. Rant over. Bring Express back. Thanks for listening.

I was sent a offer for my birthday but when I went to use them I was told I couldn't use the 20 percent off and I couldn't save it for later.

Every time I come in I am never greeted. It’s to the point where I will ask myself if today is the day and I just laugh when it doesn’t happen. There was also a female staff member who rolled her eyes at me and gave me attitude when I asked if I’d be able to try another size for a shirt (I was in the fitting room). The store is always a mess on top of it.
This is also a factory store, so you’re already receiving a downgrade in quality off the bat.
Mainline Express is a great brand - one of my favorites - and usually the service is great. This one, however, is an exception, and needs a major overhaul bad!

I am a frequent customer at express. I came into this location around 8pm and was ready to try on at 8:10 noticed the fitting room has a clothing rack in front of it. Three associates were standing talking at the register nobody could bother to ask me if I’m doing okay or bother to tell me the fitting rooms are closed. I spoke up and asked excuse me are the fitting rooms closed & the male associate was rude and short then went back to gossiping at the register. Fitting rooms are closed early but all the associates standing at the register talking instead of working. Really disappointed at this experience will be going to another location now on.

Received the salesman very lost. They don't want to receive customers. I need to buy clothes for my husband, need some help, but want to kick me out. Just because my 5-year-old daughter accidentally sat on the shelf and fell down, my child scratched her leg and couldn't walk. but they didn't ask a question but said hello and kicked me out. the clothing store is very famous but it shouldn't have such bad staff. sorry I don't want to say it but I'm so sad. I hope the next time I go I don't see him.

Worst customer service. Continual decline of store quality. Nobody offered a fitting room. And passed by me multiple times. Finally got a room. Never checked on me, needed another size with no help. Two people working wandering around store ignoring customers. Finally went to check out and once I made it to the register the young woman walked right away from me. Left me at the register, didn't say a word to me before leaving me. Watched her walk back and start hanging clothes and trying to ignore customers. I was at the register just standing there waiting for her to come back. Made eye contact with her and she rolled her eyes and walked further away. Never came back to help me. Ridiculous! Young people with 0 customer service skills running this store. Please send someone to train these people.
