APAH employees are disrespectful and condescending. Associate Director Henry Spears is not a professional and is unfit to working with veterans suffering from PTSD. I would expect more from APAH since they are a vessel in the community. My expectations were high for a property affiliated with an organization such as the American Legion.

Columbia Hills upkeep is getting out of hand and I have pictures of the laundry room being messy, all of the dryers are being used and not attended with clothes still in them. I also got a picture of urine in the dryer. I am highly disgusted with this place and no longer feel that my children and I are safe. I have encountered weed smoking on my floor, which causes my kids to have headaches. The first time, I mentioned it to the leasing staff and the second time I call the police number posted in the elevator. Also when I went to the so called “business center” there was no ink in the printer and when I asked about it, the response is always the same “we are working on it.” I am tired of hearing that answer, we need immediate change. Also kids are in there after hours playing game and watching movies. It should be an age limited with parental control policy. We had one community meeting about different issues and the only thing that I see that got better is the recycling issue. We have meetings too far apart and we need ACTION NOW.

It's in a prime location. 5 minute walk from Ballston metro. Even quicker to get to the soon to 've completed Ballston mall. It's with. Walking distance to clarendon bar area. It's near several metros, Harris teeter, trader Joe's, whole foods, the central library, walking trails, 3 parks and more. Apah is good organization to help folks with affordable housing. They have some regular units too.
