What a great place that serves amazing food. My wife is from Sao Miguel Azores and loves the way they cook the octopus.

Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend the food and had a pretty middling experience at Adega. We went in the afternoon and enjoyed the capirinha that was recommended. After that, things went pretty south. We tried the fries and the cod cakes and they were decent when paired with the ketchup and hot sauce respectively. Next we ordered the seafood platter and found the clams, lobster to taste pretty fish-y. We also tried the octopus and thought it tasted rubbery and could use more flavor than just the olive oil provided.

Talked up the wait staff and turns out it is a family restaurant. Service was friendly and we had an interesting chat. Overall, I don’t think I would recommend the food here, or I would at least try other items on the menu and just their drinks.
Their reception is exceptional. Great food and atmosphere. I had the opportunity to speak with the owner and he was extremely kind. Very pleased with the staff and my overall experience. I would recommend this to anyone!
I believe is the fourth or fifth time that we come to this place and from the first time to now they nailed it. The food is always AMAZING. Real Portuguese food, real Portuguese wine. I am a chef, I know when I am eating good food. lol.
Highlights for the BACALHAU DE CEBOLADA and BIFE À PORTUGUESA.

My husband and I are extremely delighted with the restaurant. Very cozy, I loved the decoration and I felt super comfortable. The server, a guy whose name I don't know, helped us choose the dishes. He masters the menu very well and is very polite, helpful and kind. The food was excellent. The taste of the sea fascinated me. I'm just thinking about coming back the dishes are so good. Congratulations to the chef and the guy who served us. We were very happy with our experience.
Note 1000.

The Food was amazing. We were three couples on a Saturday evening. We waited about 25 min for a table but definitely worth the wait. We ordered the large Sangria and enjoyed it a lot. I ordered the grilled octopus, wife baked cod, and our friends other seafood and lamb dishes. Everything was amazing, perfectly cooked and seasoned. Really good portions and reasonable prices for the the type of food. Definitely recomended.

I will start with today and work back in time. Got there at 21:40 today, the kitchen was shut. According to the stated time, they should have been open until 22:00, first bad. Asked for a beer, an empty glass and a beer bottle was put in front of me, with no offer to poor the beer into the glass. Sum up, no food, poor bar service.
Now, to go back in time. I ordered a fish dish, don't remember exactly what fish it was but when it came out it was gutted and that was it. It was deep fried with head, tail, skin fins, how disgusting. After they removed the undesirable parts of the fish, I lost my appetite. As an alternative, he gave me some meat, which was like eating boot leather. I was not charged for the meal.
Another occasion, the bill. I paid a bill by credit card and got surcharges for the transaction. This is not permitted in Massachusetts. I need to say no more.
Not often, I give a bad review, but I think this was necessary.
