An old place in Sintra village where you can try some typical Portuguese food. You must try the Cabrito Assado no forno , it is really good comfort food and this house has been making it for so many years. They are also known for some good Espetada da Madeira. Family staff so you will be well served.

Their service is bad. We didn’t get attended straight away when we were seated with entries/appetizers. We waited a 1hr for our food to be served and the food didn’t have much flavour. Overall the atmosphere wasn’t very welcoming and the food was mid. I would give this place a 3.5/10. I wouldn’t recommend.

Quick service and good food!
If you want to try traditional flavours and generous portions of food, I highly recommend that you check out this place. The owner does not speak English but there is an English menu. Very good service!
Incredible service and spectacular food. This is an authentic Portuguese restaurant serving great quality and tasty dishes. This is not a touristy restaurant so the prices were amazing and the servings were very generous.

I definitely recommend visiting Adego do Saloia

Local Portuguese restaurant recommended to us by our guide. Staff mostly speak Portuguese but we had a younger waitress who spoke English and was very helpful. The food was good, but the wait times were long.
Ok, my turn to write something.
We are living in Sintra almost 4 years and couldn’t find a better place in all Portugal. Even when we are somewhere in another country, we are dreaming about this place🤤 In this years we tasted all dishes but some of them we are ordering every single time. It’s Soloia squids, “Madeira” skewer, veal with cream and mushrooms, grilled salmon and black pork “Lagartos”. Also grilled sea bass it’s something. And definitely “must try” it’s their “dish of the day”. Every lunch except Tuesday you have to come. Portions are huge and prices very reasonable. This is very authentic place with amazing atmosphere. All food seasoned with love. Enjoy

Arroz DE Marisco. Not bad taste, but the seafood was not processed properly. Too much broken shells and sands in the meals. Just like too much interruption in a wonderful music. Frustrating.
