In my experience, I've always had a very pleasant shop here. Staff have always been helpful and moving around keeping the place nice, which makes it easy to find someone to help. Always a pleasure.
Staff member Becky has helped me twice on my visits with a wonderful smile on her face. Knew a lot about the stores products and has made me come in specifically for the service when I could get the same products online easier. Becky managed to guide me with what to buy for my level of knowledge of the items I have purchased
Quite a nice store. Lots of choice. Can be busy at weekends but the tills are staffed and you get served quite quickly. Any art and craft product you could want as well as model train accessories, model paints, model glues and quite a selection of plastic model kits.
Shopped there recently twice. On both occasions, two different members of staff were very friendly and went out of their way to help me get my click and collect stuff to the car - without my having to ask! Don't usually review, but these guys were exceptionally kind and accommodating.
I’ve feel like this Hobby Craft has become a second home while I’ve been working on various projects. The staff are always very friendly and knowledgeable and ready to give a helping hand. While it’s often easier, and sometimes cheaper, to shop online it’s always a treat to go in store and be inspired by things I never knew I needed!
I'm still discovering new sections to the store. My primary need is for bits and pieces to enhance my free style embroidery and the card frames to transform my embroidery into greetings cards. A request, please will you stock cream cardboard frames, as well as the pure white? I think you used to do?
Love, love, love it in here!!! Well set out and organised. Easy to find what you need, but even if you still struggle, the staff members provide assistance willingly.

Just went out for some Easter shopping with some friends. Did not expect to be physically grabbed by a member of staff and accused of stealing. If there was suspicion that we had stolen an item, then I understand checking our bags. However, this staff member proceeded to take items off my friend which had been purchased from other stores and refused to give them back until we showed proof of purchase (again, from another store). When we finally got the items back she told us we were all banned from that store. Whether she said this or not, I would not be returning.
Hello, today me and my friends went shopping in mersey way - in The Works one of us was assaulted and all of us accused of stealing. The staff member took items away from our friend and refused to return them even though they were bought at another shop. Our bags had been checked and it was confirmed that no items were stolen, this staff member banned us from the shop. NOT happy and whomever did this should receive a consequence.
Staff were extremely helpful & very friendly. Offered recommendations of products in relation to what I was looking for, & had picked up already. They seemed genuinely interested in what I intended to do with the products purchased. They then continued the same interest with other customers & their purchases. Had a thoroughly enjoyable experience in store today.
I ordered fabric on Sunday from Crookilley to make a face protector for a lady who adores cats. The fabric came Today so quickly & I absolutely love it. My favourite face protector by far. 😻

Lots of fabric, lots of wool and yarn, and a great selection of seeing threads and haberdashery. Knowledgeable staff are very helpful and understanding of your needs. Even a selection of hand made products like shoulders bags.

Nice shop. Always buy something. Just wish it was bigger. When busy it's a nightmare to push passed other shoppers. I've asked The Works many times on Twitter to move to a bigger shop, oddly they seem unwilling to do that just for one customer.
