Amazing experience from start to finish. Booking was convenient and seamless with excellent input and advice from Julie. The rafting trip was awesome! Perfect balance of white water rafting and floating in a 3 hour excursion. The views were spectacular and our guide River was a rock star. We will definitely be returning for another trip down the river and look forward to seeing all of the passionate and cool staff again!

My husband and I took the white water rafting trip last summer and it was a blast!
This was my first time rafting, in which I was a little nervous but our rafting leader guide assured me all was going to be OK and taught me how to hold the paddle so that I wouldn't get tossed out of the raft (definitely helped alleviate the fear!)

It was the highlight of our trip, we both really enjoyed it! My husband even got out and floated down a portion of the river alongside the rafting, super fun! Highly recommended this company for white water rafting :)

I brought a group of 7 rafting on the Kennebec and we had an amazing time! I called to add people to the original reservation and the staff updated the reservation and emailed a new invoice without issue. The directions to the location were spot on (4.8 miles from the flashing moose sign). Our guide Haley was amazing. She was funny, entertaining and an expert at navigating the river and getting us lots of action. The meal at the end was just what we needed and definitely a selling point of the trip.

We did not stay overnight at the location, so I cannot speak to the quality of the rooms.

We had an awesome time! Our guide, River, was knowledgeable and excellent. A born leader. He made us feel confident, which was important for newbies like us. The Kennebec River is just beautiful. The BBQ at the end was delicious, and the Inn by the River was clean and comfortable with friendly, welcoming staff. Thanks for a great experience!

The rafting crew was so hospitable to my group. They made sure everyone’s needs were met. The guides River and Jake were very helpful and fun to be around. During the bus ride up to the drop off point they hung around the group and made conversation fun and lively. Jake was our spectacular guide that taught us how to champion the river! Being super informative and fun he was also all for our safety. 10/10 recommend the experience with that company and people!

Been coming for over a decade. We have always had a great time. The guides and staff are awesome and do all they can to make the trip a memorable one. Boatman's is a fun place to hang out and have food and drinks. The guides are knowledgeable and we feel safe having them guides us on the river. God willing we'll continue for many many years!

Our large group (mixed - kids and adults) camped on the property, and did a rafting trip on the Kennebec. What a great experience to have together! The staff was that perfect combination of adventurous, fun, skilled and professional. We were in good hands. We were divided into three boats, and our guides were K2, Parker and River (yes, his actual name) - all wonderful. River led our boat - pointing out wildlife, telling stories about the area, teaching us about the river, giving clear instructions when needed as well as encouragement, and also making the experience as fun as possible. This guide truly loves his work and sharing the experience with folks. Highly recommend! And I'll add that all the staff in the office, at the cookout, and in the bar were all friendly as well - so appreciated.

We had an absolutely awesome time rafting and staying in the cabins! The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The cabin area is off the main road and is quiet. They're very close to the river so we got to enjoy more time in the river after rafting. The restaurant had great food with large portions. As for the rafting itself, K2 was our guide and I definitely recommend her. She's knowledgeable and made it a fun experience! We also saw our fair share of bald eagles on the river as well as a moose! All in all, we look forward to coming back here again

Best campground I’ve EVER been too. We’ve been here year after year because we love it so much. Staff is great, the view for the tenting area is AMAZING. We’ve seen 3 moose on or by the lake. Great prices for the fire wood, and you don’t have to rent the kayaks/canoes. Just take them and go.

Very nice people to work with. It is also the shortest distance to drive to the river in a bus. I would rather drive comfortably in my car to the meeting place and then a short distance to the river in a bus. They served a good lunch afterwards. I would definitely go with them again. A great experience and a good guide by the name of Oliver.

Moxie made my first white water rafting experience better than I could have possibly imagined. Our guide, Eric, was super nice, very happy to answer all our questions, and had really easy instructions. He was patient, invested in the group conversation, and overall a stand up guy/guide. The rafting itself was an absolute ball and the water was incredible to swim in. The lunch was detectable and cooked perfectly. My friends and I are already planning our next trip to Moxie. Overall, an amazing trip.

The location is awesome . Staffs are super awesome. Clean washrooms , responsive and helpful staffs. This place is awesome guys. We were there for camping and rafting. We as a family and friends, everybody enjoyed and had a great time.

We had an absolute BLAST on the Kennebec and the Dead rivers.... Kate and Kyle were excellent guides! The lunch included with the trip is delicious and the pics available for purchase are well worth it!

If you’re going to Maine come here for the best white water rafting experience. OMG!! We had the best times of our lives doing the rafting here. Our guide’s name was Tyler, he was such a knowledgeable person, funny and gave us one of the best experiences during our trip.
The whole rafting trip was 2:30 hrs and mid way we all stop at a place and these guides cook us steak, chicken and veggies patties on fire and grill. It was a different experience to have food in the woods after rafting and river all around you.

We had a great time on the Dead River with Moxie Outdoor Adventures! Our guide was professional and very knowledgeable about the area and the river. The Dead River is constant whitewater and nonstop excitement from beginning to end, and the whole crew ensured our safety on the trip, looking out for each other and the guests. .
Camping at Moxie was a blast, so much to see and do in that area.The campground is neat and right on a lake with sites right up to the water. The bath houses were neat and clean and the showers were hot!
We went to sleep listening to the cry of the loons .
We had so much fun, we made reservations to go on the Kennebec River in a few weeks!

Took the family on a camping/whitewater rafting trip everything was taken care of breakfast lunch. It was a great weekend the staff was great and helpful. The family really enjoyed doing kennebec river our guide was nick he did an amazing job, and pat was the other guide recommend both if you enjoy outdoor water adventure!!
