The Bandstand Promenade offers a vibrant mix of natural beauty and urban life. You can stroll along the walkway while enjoying panoramic views of the Arabian Sea. The area is especially lively during the early mornings and evenings, attracting joggers, families, and couples. The cool breeze and the sound of waves make it a relaxing escape from the city's hustle and bustle.
Good experience, but the place could be cleaner and made more accessible.

Serene...
In Hinduja Hospital Lane.
You cab feed the Pigeons.
Good Chai.
Great ocean view and scenic beauty of tall buildings and mercerising sea.
View is good during low tides, due to food outlets operating at night, a lot of garbage all around scattered near seashore. Can go a bit of inside in low tide. Walk near beach and enjoying the sea view is the best thing

My experience at Bandstand in Mumbai was truly memorable. This iconic promenade along the Arabian Sea offers stunning views and a lively atmosphere. As I walked along the promenade, I was captivated by the beautiful coastline and the refreshing sea breeze.

One of the highlights of my visit to Bandstand was witnessing the Bandra-Worli Sea Link from a distance. The modern architecture of the bridge against the backdrop of the Arabian Sea was a sight to behold. Additionally, the area is known for its vibrant street art, which added an extra layer of charm to the surroundings.

The energy at Bandstand was infectious, with locals and tourists alike enjoying the scenic beauty and engaging in various activities. I particularly enjoyed watching the local fishermen going about their work and witnessing families and friends spending quality time together against the picturesque backdrop.

Overall, my experience at Bandstand was delightful, and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to soak in the beauty of Mumbai's coastline and enjoy a relaxing day by the sea.

A lot cleaner that the beaches. It has a nice rocky terrain you can go on to enjoy the sea. The waters are nor calm and can get a little rough so you need to be alert about the waves and high tides. There are few parks around the area and some famous actor’s house if you are interested in seeing. Overall okay place, mainly see a lot of young couples hanging out here.

Bandstand is the favourite place of millions of people because 2 superstars of Bollywood reside here, 1st Shah Rukh Khan and 2nd Salman Khan.
And this place is near the sea, from where everyone comes here with their families, friends, and loved ones and enjoys their quality time.
And those who have not come here yet, I recommend everyone to come here and enjoy life.

Bandstand in Mumbai is an iconic destination, especially for weekend visits. This area is not only famous for its beautiful sea view but also for being home to many Bollywood celebrities. The highlight of Bandstand is undoubtedly Shahrukh Khan's mansion, Mannat. Seeing this legendary actor's residence up close is an exciting experience for any Bollywood fan.

The promenade itself offers a stunning view of the Arabian Sea, making it a perfect spot for leisurely walks and enjoying the cool sea breeze. The area is lined with the magnificent houses of some of Mumbai's wealthiest residents, adding to the overall allure and glamour of Bandstand.

Visiting Bandstand on weekends is a delightful experience, combining the charm of celebrity sightings with the natural beauty of the coastline. It's a must-visit for anyone looking to get a taste of Bollywood glamour and enjoy a peaceful seaside atmosphere.

This seashore is not that well developed. It is rocky, stinks, and is littered with trash. Yet a lot of people visit this place as it offers a view of sunset, and you can also see the Bandra worli Sea link and Taj Lands End. They should at least develop and clean this place and create a sort of promenade.

An excellent example of architectural marvel. Adds up to the beauty of Mumbai. It can be a good spot to spend some time with your close ones watching the Arabian sea and the busy Mumbai city.
The bridge connects Bandra and Worli and is one of the most important bridges of Mumbai.

The Bandra-Worli Sea Link stands tall as a modern marvel, an architectural feat that has become an iconic symbol of Mumbai's skyline. Its sleek design, efficient traffic management, and iconic status make it a standout feature of the city's infrastructure. However, certain restrictions and concerns regarding accessibility may dampen its universal appeal.

Praise:
The Sea Link's architectural design is undoubtedly commendable, blending seamlessly with Mumbai's urban landscape while offering breathtaking views of the Arabian Sea. Its sleek, cable-stayed structure stands as a testament to human ingenuity and engineering prowess, attracting admirers from around the world.

One of the Sea Link's most notable strengths lies in its traffic control and management. Despite being a major thoroughfare connecting Bandra and Worli, the bridge manages to keep vehicular congestion at bay through efficient toll collection systems and well-coordinated traffic flow. This ensures a smooth and hassle-free commuting experience for motorists traversing the link.

Criticism:
While the Sea Link boasts impressive infrastructure and management, some concerns linger regarding its accessibility and inclusivity. Notably, the prohibition of two-wheelers on the bridge restricts mobility for a significant portion of the city's population who rely on motorcycles and scooters for their daily commute. This exclusionary policy may inconvenience commuters and detract from the bridge's overall utility as a transportation hub.

Additionally, despite its modern design and engineering, there have been sporadic reports of maintenance issues and concerns about the durability of certain components, raising questions about the long-term sustainability and quality of the infrastructure.

Conclusion:
In summary, the Bandra-Worli Sea Link stands as a shining example of modern infrastructure and architectural innovation, enhancing Mumbai's skyline and connectivity. Its efficient traffic management and iconic status contribute to its widespread acclaim as a landmark feature of the city. However, concerns regarding accessibility and occasional maintenance issues warrant attention to ensure that the Sea Link continues to serve as a reliable and inclusive transportation artery for Mumbai residents and visitors alike.

You can't miss this place especially in February and during the rainy season, especially in February when you see the ram mandir area from the height.

But one thing sad I see that mountains are now sad people cutting trees and I think builders are cutting so that in future they can make buildings

Powai Lake dates back to 1799 when the British colonial administration constructed it as a reservoir to supply water to Bombay, the city's former name. Over the years, the lake has become an integral part of Mumbai life.

It serves as a vital source of water for the city, quenching the thirst of millions. Beyond its utilitarian function, Powai Lake has become a popular recreational spot. The lush greenery surrounding the lake provides a picturesque setting for picnics, morning walks, and bird watching, attracting nature enthusiasts and tourists alike. Boating facilities allow visitors to immerse themselves in the lake's tranquility while enjoying the scenic views.

Powai Lake faces significant threats that endanger its ecological balance. Rapid urbanization and encroachments in the surrounding areas have led to increased pollution and reduced water quality. Industrial and domestic waste, along with untreated sewage, find their way into the lake, posing a threat to aquatic life and the overall ecosystem. Additionally, the diminishing green cover due to urban expansion affects the lake's biodiversity.

Environmentalists, NGOs, and local authorities are collaborating to initiate conservation projects, promote waste management, and raise awareness about the lake's significance.

I encourage everyone to (with valid DL) to drive on the Sea Link. What a vibe and a view for real.

You can see the stark contrast of Bombay; slums foreshadowed by the tall buildings, employing glorified corporate slaves.

Lights are on all the time. Truly, a city that never sleeps.
This place will attract tourists. You can have fun and can chill with your friends especially in the evening.
In evening, you can witness a beautiful sunset view.
Entry is restricted from 6 am to 6 pm.

Sea Link looks beautiful from Bandra Ford. The sunset view is also an attraction. This place will give you a good view of the sea. Walking on the stones (need a bit caution) at the sea beatch feels good. There are bus services from Bandra station to the fort, but the bus service is irregular and slow. If you hire an auto to come here, try to get a metered auto. They overcharge otherwise.
Powai Lake (Pronunciation: [pəʋəiː]) is an artificial lake, situated in Mumbai, in the Powai valley, where a Powai village with a cluster of huts existed. The city suburb called Powai shares its name with the lake. Indian Institute of Technology Bombay, one of the premier institutions of science and technology in India, is located to the east of the lake.[1] Another famous institution, the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE), is also located close to the lake. Housing complexes and plush hotels are developed all around the lake periphery. Population around the lake has thus substantially increased over the years.

Stars are only for the effort put in by the government to uplift the sea facing area.

Although one part of the view is completely destroyed due to the constriction activity going on. Still a nice place for walk or just relax by the sea. The open area gym, cycling space and skating space is definitely a plus.

Recommendation is to have more greenery by the road, additional dustbins and toilet if possible

Be at the Lake view point entrance..In terms of Views in the morning time, quite pleasant and good with the sound of lot of birds.

Remember It closes at 6 pm and u will be chased out by Marathi speaking staff!! Let me document the travel instead to help you. The area for locals is bandstand.. taj hotel badra or slaman or ruk ruk ka ghar .. by train reach Bandra … sharing auto will take you to bandstand…. Or take a bus to father angum stand .. options are plenty.

Remember that the parking staff and parking tickets change every 10 mts… so be careful where you park.

As of now this place is under construction and hence the advice to wear proper shoes to reach the point.

The view point provides great photo opportunities..

I leave adding the pics to you !!!

I hiked to Film City View Point during my morning walk. Given all the talk about it, I thought it was worth visiting. Ad it is oly for the view but be ready to make way through garbage. Absolutely unkept place, looks like a dumping yard. I have visited this place few years ago and remember that I liked it. Its a horrible mess now.
The view however is picturesque. You can see film city from up top. Can also spot whistling woods academy.
Boat house in IIT Bombay, gives you the best site to click photos. The nature is mesmerizing there, and as if it challenges you with its continuous changing beauty. It is the place with absolute peace and the road that leads to the place is almost like road to the heaven. It gives you thrill as well since the place has almost pin drop silence. My favorite place from insti.

Film city view at Shiv Sahi Prakalp, Goregaon East. From here one can see whole film city from above.
Lovers spend there time in the evening for make out. Some people came here to drink wine. Not recommended for family at evening time. Bring family in daytime.
The place is clean, mostly couples go there but anyone can have a good time by just sitting there and feeling the breeze. Go there at the evening time to avoid the sun, which is the case with all places.
The contrast that you see there is amazing, from high rise buildings to the amazing lake.

Nice place to spent time with friends. Beautiful view of Lake. Many types of birds can be seen. People come here to celebrate their birthdays. Also have place to practice dance. Nice spot for photography. Some people are throwing garbage in it. They must stop it.
Nice place for a calm evening, we disappointed to see no boating facility from IITB side :p.
Green space and beautiful sunset view. Although be aware, there might be animals such as panthers which were "spotted" there according to the entry board.

Powai Lake
Powai Lake is located downstream of the Vihar Lake on the Mithi River

When it was built, the lake had an area of about 2.1 square kilometres (520 acres) and the depth varied from about 3 metres (9.8 ft) (at the periphery) to 12 metres (39 ft) at its deepest.

The Powai Lake has gone through many stages of water quality degradation. The lake water which used to supply drinking water for Mumbai has been declared unfit to drink. The lake remains a tourist attraction.

Before the lake was built by the British, in 1799 AD, the estate where the lake is now was leased on a yearly rent to Dr. Scott. After his death in 1816, the government took control of the estate in 1826 and leased it to Framaji Kavasji, then the vice-president of the Agricultural and Horticultural Society of Western India[4] after whom the lake was named when it was built in 1891.

A stream tributary of the Mithi river, which served the Powai village's water needs, was dammed in 1891, during the British period. It was initially to augment water supply to Bombay city (now called Mumbai), by constructing two dams of 10 m to store the rain water flowing from the lower slopes of the Western Ghats and streams from the eastern and northeastern slopes of hills. It was planned as an antiwater famine measure, to the southeast of Vihar Lake (a much larger lake) also for water supply to Mumbai city. The scheme was taken in hand in 1889. Though it was completed within a year at an initial cost of more than Rs. 6,50,000 and started providing two million gallons of water per day, it had to be abandoned due to the hue and cry against the quality of the water. Five lakhs of rupees more were spent on the scheme in 1919 in an attempt to restore the supply at least for the suburbs but this, too, was given up with the development of the Tansa works.

After the drinking water supply objective was abandoned in the early 1890s, in view of poor quality of the water due to pollution, water hyacinth and weeds, untreated sewage and large silt deposit, the lake was leased to the Western India Fishing Association, a quasi government organisation, who used it for fish culture and angling. Later, the Bombay Presidency Angling Association was formed in 1936. In 1955, under the Societies Registration Act 1860, it was registered as the Maharashtra State Angling Association (MSAA) and the lake is now under their control. Realising the gravity of the environmental pollution, the MSAA has revised its constitution "to actively care for, clean, develop, maintain, and beautify the Environment at Powai Lake."

MSAA is now involved with

removal of water hyacinth infestation

supporting research with Fisheries Department for conservation of the Indian mahaseer

Good place to chill with friends. Not suitable for family at night because of couples all around the corner. Good scenic view of Aarey, Western Express Highway and the best of FILM CITY. You can see tiny flying things far away from there and taking off too as International and Domestic airport is not that far away. Cool breeze and open space. Buses and Rickshaws can be found for travelling. Not safe at night after 9PM as there are cases of cheetahs being spotted in the jungle.
Ah!! The view and the atmosphere. It is not a necessity that you should be with someone. You can be here all alone and still spend a lot of time in peace and tranquility. If you go with friends, there will definitely be a lot of gossip but there will also be a time where everyone will be quiet and marvel at the serene place. This is a place where every student in the University can look for some solace from all the pressure hanging around on them for so long. A must visit to this place even if you're there for a day or two. The entry to the place is a bit scary because of the quietness and hanging bushes but worth it. It is not recommended to visit this after dark.

This place is great if you are crazy about good scenery and views, this place has great view and as it's on a height (we can call it hill) and you can see all of filmcity Royal palms from here and this place has great view and vibe specially during evenings and mornings with n day time it doesn't looks that good.
