This place was so fun to visit! There are sea lions on every corner of the cliff, and on the way there (walking) we saw ground squirrels, and some rodent which we didn't recognize. We found a discreet spot to relax in where there aren't too many people, and it's not too close to the seals, but you can see them very well. They bark and yawn a lot!
AMAZING place full of sea lions, beautiful waters and breathtaking sunsets. Make it a point to visit here. You will be glad you did. There is a sea lion protective reserve that gives you the opportunity to see tons of little babies and full grown active and lazy sea lions. Great opportunity to experience but La Jolla has to offer.
Definitely a place you have to visit once you get in San Diego.

Lots of sea life! There is no shortage of various birds and sea lions.

While we were there, we saw 2 different injured or sick Sea Lions 😭. They were very quickly taken care of by the appropriate person.

Absolutely beautiful! Don't miss this! You can get really close to the sea lions and seals and huge pelicans!
I always love it here since I'm not rich and I don't feel like I belong to the stores near by. I love the scenery and the weather is most lovely and see the playful seals by the cove. I can just sit on the grass all day and chill and wouldn't get old as fast.
La Jolla Cove is very touristy beach in San Diego. You can walk around the paved path or the sand beaches to touch the ocean. Parking is free but difficult to find. Overcrowded but the place have a good vibe.

Incredible view and location with tons of rocks, big and small. There is so much character at this beach and view, even the walkway does is nice. This is a great date location or a great place to take your children to see sea animals. This is also a good surf spot, to the right and left.
Free Therapy, pounding surf, fresh salt air and an endless powerful vista as far as the eye can see.
La Jolla is always such a good time. The people, the choices for food. The entire ambience is California to me.

It's such a beautiful place! You can take the stairs down to the beach and walk to the cove or just stroll on the street level walk, which stretches far along the ridge. The sea lions are a constant source of entertainment: they bark, they jump in and out of the water, and they lie close together for warmth. At the end of the day, you can see the sunset from that park. There's plenty of street parking there, too.
Beautiful, scenic area. Love that we can observe the seals and sea lions in their natural habitat. Bummer about the humans insisting on getting closer. It just was a bit sad. We still enjoyed walking around and watching the birds and mammals.
Really pleasant and relaxing location. Fresh air, offshore breeze, waves, pelicans, gulls, and of course the seals.

No Parking and No access to Sea. Just 1 view of Big rock with Birds. Might be good for surfers.
Beautiful ocean views and seals! You can walk out on the concrete dock and watch the ocean crash right beside you. Also, great for bird watching. Pelicans, sand pipers , gulls etc!
Richtig schöner Ort mit einer sehr angenehmen Atmosphäre. Man kann auch an direkt an den Strand und in den Pazifik gehen. Wir waren Ende Juni dort und es gab nur noch vereinzelt Robben dort, welche wir mit etwas Glück gesehen haben. Das Wasser ist richtig schön frisch und bei bestem Wetter macht es richtig Freude hier ins Wasser zu gehen.
I went with my daughter, it was the most beautiful experience. Seeing all the sea lions and the beautiful sea, it felt so peaceful and relaxing experience to have. It was also exciting to walk across the caves to see what was on the other side. My daughter loved the way that we could get closed enough to take pictures of the sea lions without danger and watching them play and swim. Overall, this is a great place that should be experienced.

No good hang out spots and the water is full of seaweed
Even on a cloudy day this was a gorgeous beach to visit. ADA accessible ramps all around. Felt amazing to walk along the beach and enjoy the wind. Seals are fun to watch during mating season too 🤪
Nice location in bird Rock with stairs down to the rocky shores. Hi place to go surfing and to watch the sunset
Nice scenic photo location. If you want to surf, plan for a very rocky shore.
