I'm not sure how this place has so many good reviews? We stopped to check out the view and quickly got back in the car. There is broken glass everywhere, trash and an overwhelming smell of urine.... not worth the stop.

Great place to park after my daily 600 miles of driving my 18 wheeler. Everyone should respect this place and keep their trash to themselves. Tired… time to sleep. Zzzz
Beautiful! It was absolutely beautiful and such a pristine piece of nature so close to the city
Beautiful sunset scenery
Beautiful drive along the Columbia river.
Great views!

An easy stop off i84 on your way towards Portland. Not a lot of parking and no services. But it has a great view of the Columbia River, especially at sunset.
My favorite spot in the gorge...amazing views and you can see the house where the prom scene from Twilight was filmed!

Nice view. Memorable visit with family & friends
Come here alot. Super relaxing, great views, and fresh air. Unfortunately they make you buy a pass to continue on past Crown point and park but it's still a really nice area
This view point is not that great overlooking the Columbia River gorge. It's just ok we liked Vista point better.
But there is a good amount of parking, a couple of picnic tables and a loop to turn around if you have taken a RV or trailer on historic 30.
No rest rooms or facilities just a couple of plaques and parking, limited shade or rain cover.

Nice place to stop and take a breather before heading into the Portland traffic maze. Calm view across the water (Columbia River). Nothing to do hear other than rest, take in the view, and snap a few photos. Plenty of parking, easy access on and off the highway.

Old hiway converted to bike path. Bonneville section. Hatchery is a nice spot for picnic. Stairs at Bridge of the gods are very steep. I pushed up to 70 lb ebikes for a good workout but scenery at east of stairs oh hum. Maybe we should of rode down to the River at the Bridge of the gods area.
Bad view from it
Classic Columbia River gorge vista! Nice little trail with gorge views too!
This is just a highway pullover. You can't see very much from here—and what little you can see, you can also see from nearby Vista House. Not worth it.
What are the most beautiful places on the Earth? I believe.realize you do have to have a permit to drive on this section of the highway.that permit needs to be purchased in advance and it's. Very inexpensive if I think it's like eight dollars if I recall.highly recommended.
Amazing views of the Columbia River gorge looking east.
Easy drive from Portland .
Beautiful drive up from Interstate 84.

There is an incredibly beautiful view from this lookout. You can see the Columbia River and the Vista House perched on a cliff off in the distance. The best time to come would be in the evening, but I imagine the view is wonderful any time of the day.

Pretty views of the Columbia. Unfortunately there is a lot of refuse (broken glass and discarded items) needing cleanup.

This is the road you want to take. It’s free and you can see two waterfalls without a permit, unlike the other falls. One of the falls is on the side of the road and you need to park at the two car scenic overlook then cross the street. Far too many drove past it but it’s more beautiful in my opinion. You can also take stairs down to get a closer look though standing by the road gives a wonderful view as well.
Many amazing viewpoints and waterfalls, there are also bunch of epic hikes in the area.
Take the time to drive this historic highway which is simply a work of art. No other way to describe it. But take your time, don't rush the drive, stop and explore. A bit busy on weekends with nice weather.

Great overlook of the Columbia River and place to watch the sunset. Parking for cars, campers, trucks and trailers.
I've drove this highway a handful of times. And never does it disappoint. Have visited it many times throughout the year to get a full experience. Fall, summer, winter, spring... this particular trip was during winter. From the Vista House all the way to the Dalles is breathtaking. There are soooo many waterfalls to see. Some right off the road, some hiking into the forest and different abilities and lengths. I think at this point I've seen 30 plus of the waterfalls here. So many more to see. But impossible to see them all in a day, even two. Could spend a week here and probably still miss out on some. But not only are the waterfalls great, but the Columbia River Gorge views are spectacular also as well as peaks of Mt. Hood. There really is a lot to see when on this highway. I definitely recommend checking ahead to make sure it's fully open. As there is usually a lot of mud slides here, especially since the fires last year. Be sure to stop at Multnomah Falls. The fourth tallest in the US. Pretty spectacular. Even the short hike up the paved path to the bridge isn't terrible. Highly recommend. The restaurant and gift shop here are also great. Another one of my favorites was Latourell Falls. Short hike to see it. The vibrant moss on the rock face is pretty spectacular. But just driving the highway and stopping at the falls along the road make for a wonderful family weekend outing. Does get busy and parking at the more popular hikes do fill fast. Arrive early in the day for best experiences.
Complimenting the beautiful Columbia river are several awesome waterfalls. Some are easily seen from the roadway and most have easy trails to get up close.

Nice stop to see sunset, Columbia river or just to take a break. This is just a turn out no facilities ie restroom or trash can. Saw few truckers taking a night rest and 2 motorhomes boon-docking. Guess it allowed as there is no signs preventing.
