View point from the road, and extra lane to park vehicle without causing much obstacle provided people just park there and not on the other side. Good view from the point. A good 5 minute stop if you are along the way or stopping over.

A very beautiful place where you can see the rain falling.. a place that calms the mind.. Here the vehicles are parked on the road side causing difficulties for the passengers. Although there is a no parking sign, vehicles are parked under it. Tourists are requested to park their vehicles on the Wayanad side and watch the view point

The Lakkidi viewpoint is a small viewpoint conducted just outside the main entrance gate of the Wayanad district on the main highway. The railings are high enough for safety, so you can get close to the edge.

And just as a viewpoint, the views from here are truly beyond imagination. You can get the entire expanse of the mountains disappearing into the skyline in the distance. In the midst of the green carpet, we can also see the various small towns and villages that adorn the highway as it glides between the forest. Even during the day we could see the cars moving like tiny ants reflecting off the sun. At night, there are tiny diamonds shining along the way due to the presence of villages and streetlights.

However, it tends to get too hot during the day, especially in the summer in April and May, so it is better to carry some kind of cap to protect yourself. But the best season to visit this place would be during the rain. The views would be incredible seeing the rains falling over the lush green mountains and the clouds descending over the peaks. It is nearest to the central city of Kalpetta and thus quite reachable. But when you are in Wayanad, this is a place you should never miss. Absolutely breathtaking and mesmerizing views while feeling the cool breeze flow through you.

The view is amazing but please ensure that you visit in the right season. The summer heat can give you a sun stroke. Be very careful while stepping out so that you don't get in the way of oncoming vehicles.

It is one of the best view point surrounded beautiful greenery. Police don’t allow parking here. You need to park your car near Wilton restaurant which is around 500 meters away. It is better to visit in the evening

It was a wonderful view point with beautiful greenery all around this point. Parking space was difficult from this viewpoint due to limited parking space and the majority of people parking along the road, which is quite risky. You can spend up to maximum half an hour at this point to relax and enjoy the wonderful scenery.

Around half an hour from Padinjathara, this view point is famous for its views of the Hairpin curves in the area. You can see almost entire Calicut from the top. No entry fee, but difficult parking, this view point is right on the road. So take care and beware of monkeys.
People also visit this place for the beauty of both Sunrise and Sunset.

It is a super place..the valley of the mountains... if you are not careful, an accident can happen.. you can see the Nilambur forests and the source of the Chaliyar river in the distance..

Sunrise Valley is one of the most scenic spots in Wayanad.  What makes the viewpoint unique in the district is it's rocky projection which protrudes out to the void making it an adventure pinnacle for adrenaline junkies, although comes with the catch of falling down to the rocks and the forest deep down upon a misstep.A viewpoint with mesmerising views of the misty Western Ghat Mountains covered in thick green forest. Very beautiful place, View Point is ideal to visit in the early mornings. The majestic rays of the sun shattering the darkness of the valley covered in thick forests and the river Chaliyar cutting the valley to three large blocks is a spectacular view to behold.Sunrise Valley Viewpoint is located in Muppainad village,7 km from Vaduvanchal town and 28 km from Kalpetta and 20 km from Sulthan bathery. You can get buses till Meppadi from these places and then you will have to take a Rikshaw/ taxi from there if you are travelling by public transport. Nearest railway station is at Kozhikode from where there are buses towards Kalpetta and Sulthan Bathery.

After taking the small, unpaved trail, you will reach a fenced area. Its an electric fence to prevent elephants from roaming into the nearby plantations and human inhabitance

Roads are bad. But nice of malappuram dist and chaliyar river. Thick forest and valley view. In monsoon always cover with thick mist. Nice view. Very romantic place. Chill climate. Sunrise from here awesome. Green carpet of forest. Danger place should care about rock.
