Amazing place to get married! 10 out of 10. Beautiful venue, very accommodating, and flexible!
Had a very bad experience here dealing with the team. LY was looking to host a pop up at this venue and Dee McMaher took all of the money invest and cancel my event the day before. Doing business with him if he’s still at this establishment will have you in rage.

Very nice venue but Dee preys on small business owners that he can take advantage. I’ve notice that a lot of ppl are doing business with them but be very careful who you work with booking events at this location.
A beautiful window into the crafts and fine art of Oaxaca, Mexico courtesy of Jacobo and María Angeles and family: probably the greatest living Mexican artisans. Chicago is blessed to have this gallery— the Angeles family's only such establishment in the US.

Nych Art Gallery is an extraordinary venue. We had our daughter, whom
is an inspiring artist, Sweet 16 party at the gallery. When we arrived for set up at the party we were blown away by the stunning artwork featured at the gallery. The Art was perfect for the party displaying beautiful images of women! The location was ideal for the party goers who traveled both from the north and southside of Chicago. Parking was easy to find and the owner provided great instruction for the use of the property! The gallery proved to be an art lovers dream! Thanks Nych Gallery for providing a beautiful and sophisticated setting for our daughter!
A gem in Andersonville.
A treasure nestled in the near south side featuring powerful artwork made by womxn and those who identify as womxn.
So today, I had some guests of about 15 people from the Reebok team come to meet me at zhou b art center. They came in on the ground level and I spoke with them on the ground level before taking them upstairs to my space. This angry white woman was in another room and on the phone, walked over to us and says to me, "i'm in the middle of a viewing, you need to leave right now. I work here. You need to leave I'm in the middle of something" With the most ugliest and nastiest attitude I've ever experienced. I'm not sure if it was racial but the whole team felt her wrath, not only was there was no one else there but us, we weren't bothering her at all. The whole reebok team felt the same way I did and called her a Karen. Mind you, these are people with all different nationalities, people from london boston etc. They told me how nasty that lady was telling me sorry I had to deal with that. They literally couldn't believe their ears the way this lady approached us. I feel sorry for her and for Zhou B art center employing a woman like that! A literal cancer in your company. I wish I got her name but I know karma is something else! Thank you
Jam-packed with amazing finds! Freedom Chicago gifts to candles and jewelry, they have everything you're looking for and so much more!

We come here often and never leave empty handed because it’s just that good. I made a mistake the other day at the shop and the owner was so gracious and classy about it that my embarrassment evaporated. This is a true Chicago gem.
An amazing and inviting arts/performance laboratory - incentivizes generation and incubation of new work
Great unique gifts for anyone on your list, includingyourself! Owners and staff are lovely and kind.
Contemporary Public Arts & Event space. Quick walk through the 1st FL free exhibit, have been to an elegant Holiday Office party event upstairs.
A really nice selection of local art. All different mediums. Wide range of prices. My only complaint is they close too early.

This is a great shop! I love the vibe here. They have a good selection of some unusual items. I picked up an oracle deck here that's not available anywhere else locally.

Reasons I love this place beyond words:

1. They have antique and modern oddities. Antiques are amazing, but modern versions make my collection more affordable and I am grateful.

2. Today I met the owner and she is incredible. If it weren’t for the zillion other reason that this is my favorite shop, the owner alone is enough reason to support this business.

I cannot say enough. It’s worth the trip!

Fun shop to visit for any gift needs!
They have art and cards designed by local artists as well as items like candles, mugs, jewelry, baby clothes, and more. It's great to have a store like this in the neighborhood. The folks there are always welcoming and helpful.
The interior does look a little dark from the outside, so it may not be clear whether they're open or not, so they have a big sign in front when they are.
Midwest Nice is the best of the best! This is my go-to shop whenever I'm buying gifts - or when I want to get a little something for myself. :) They carry *everything* --- body care products, jewelry, art, decor, candles, greeting cards, and so much more. I highly recommend following Midwest Nice on social media - it's a great way to learn about new products, new artists they're carrying, or to get excellent ideas via Rocky's Recs!
Plan ACCORDINGLY for time.

Beautiful space and the studios are gorgeous.

The front desk was late to work in the morning so I was stuck outside and the photographer couldn’t come get me because she’s on a high level and to use the elevator…. You need someone from the front desk!! LOL

Not only do you need the front desk person to utilize the elevator, you have to call for them on the box, they reply they’re on their way, but we waited about 30 minutes for them to actually come. Also we pressed the call button twice and they screamed at us “I SAID WERE COMING” 🥲

I was super late leaving for my next job and they really didn’t care. Really unprofessional.

Great variety of art, witch supplies, decor, and general curiosities/oddities. If you have someone in your life that likes “weird” stuff, they’ll annoy a gift from this shop! I’ve found many new favorite local creators because they’re stocked here, and their social media is a great place to get a heads up about upcoming local events/markets. And if you feel like you’ve missed something the first time, pop back in a couple weeks later- they’re always rearranging the store! I’ve purchased: tinctures, candles, workbooks, lighters, jewelry, tarot card decks, soap, bath salts, tea, trinkets and more! There’s always something fun and new rolling in for you to experience.
Artist studies for 8 floors, keep an eye out for open studios.

Good space, southern exposure, alotta light! Wonderful artists creating thoughtful pieces!
A great storage facility for billionaires. Also, some pretty cool artist studios and occasional special events. I've been here probably a dozen times since it opened. It is not the most welcoming space.

In a place like Chicago, it’s important to have spaces where Mexican heritage in all of its complexities and simplicities are represented. I really appreciate the dedication and commitment to education, art and culture that MANO has brought to our vast arts and culture landscape.

Went to a wedding at Lacuna Loft and everything was handled beautifully with the wedding on the first floor and reception on the fifth.
Historic art society with dynamic contemporary art exhibitions inspired by The Arts Club of Chicago's history for championing Modern Art. The Ludwig Mies van der Rohe main staircase is stunning.

This is the only art gallery that I buy art from in Chicago. Phil is outstanding in all of his showings. The space itself is well-designed and perfect for events. I’ve thrown multiple here, and the compliments of the art in the background were the excellent touches!

Cool gallery featuring up and coming women artists. Building is a fantastic place for this gallery in the heart of Pilsen. Easy to park and lots of other stuff nearby.
A dear friend of mine used to live in Chicago, and would also get me gifts from this store. From their house-made candles and soaps to wares made by other Chicago artists, I was always thrilled to receive a gift from this store. Recently, I decided to treat myself and ordered online. An item I ordered was out, due to supply chain issues for needed supplies to make it, and the owner of the store could not have been kinder in letting me know that everything else would ship, but one item would ship when it became available. They even offered to send a 'thank you for your patience' gift with the first shipment, which I said was not necessary... she sent me some lavender soap anyway. When I am next in Chicago, I'll definitely be stopping in. Until then, this is a small business I will support with online sales.

This place was beautiful! Lots of art on the walls and it was gorgeous! Loved it! 👍
I live out of state but wanted to get something fun and made by local artisans for my sister’s birthday who lives in Chicago. This shop had an amazing online selection and were super fast in processing my order and they even *delivered* it to her for no additional charge. My sister *loved* the earrings and the art and it felt like a more thoughtful gift than if I had ordered from a more generic online place. Thank you!!
I have been to all their locations but the Pilsen one might be the best. The building is beautifully decorated with murals and the art exhibits and poetry readings (i am not sure they happen there) were all exceptional.
This place was MUCH better 10 or 20 years ago. Halsted Street was filled with galleries, cool people and it was bursting with creativity. All that has mostly been replaced with empty store fronts that may or may not have lame public art, and restaurants catering to the upper class. There are two big exceptions. The big building at the end of the block where Bryan Sperry's work is still worth a look (his work is always a highlight) as well as the pro labor gallery down the street . Nadine Lollino's dance studio which left is sorely missed.

Where to start! A lot of seasonal options! Home made or locally sourced, I love the soap, lasts forever, contains oats, I love their art that they help the community sell, I've scored here plenty of times! Love an excuse to walk in and be charmed!

This is a great little shop for art! I am blown away by the quality of each and every item that they sell, as well as the beautiful artwork that they have on display. It is a wonderful local store that sells items that are made in the immediate area and has charming owners as well as accommodating and friendly staff members. This shop sells a wide variety of paper-based items, such as greeting cards and one-of-a-kind art prints. Many of the items in this shop focus on Chicago and feature eye-catching graphics that depict the city's various neighborhoods. The shop also carries a significant amount of jewelry, which is one of my favorite categories overall. Because I am so passionate about jewelry collecting, coming here is like visiting a piece of heaven for me.
This store comes extremely highly recommended, and I am confident that you and your friends will enjoy shopping here.
Great staff! Very lucky to experience the art.

For the last month, I’ve been wanting to see the gallery and the current exhibit but have not had the time. However, I have been able to take interest in and enjoy the current pieces outside in their courtyard. It’s a few sculptures that look like eggs and clowns. I will make sure to add the name of the artist.
Today, I was able to stop by on my hour lunch break to see the exhibit by Kamrooz Aram. It was a very interesting and relatable exhibit. I am very grateful to the Security Guard/Attendant/Welcoming Staff Member today who made me feel very welcome to come in and absorb this exhibition. She relayed clear detailed info about the space. Due to it being a light attendance day, there was time for me to ask her some questions about the exhibit. It was such treat to experience her knowledge, excitement, and engagement not only with the exhibit but also with the history of the building and other events that have been happening there. I know that can’t be an easy job and I feel lucky to have had a conversation with her on the work and space.

The current Exhibit of Kamrooz Aram was very interesting in regards to examining isolation. I’m excited to read more about it.

We were there for a grad event. The Zhou B center is a building with arts on all floors. Note that there is a basement floor (which I think has the best art). There are studios on 3rd and 4th floor and artists are there to tour you a bit. But in general I cannot understand most art pieces Lol.
We Went to an incredible wedding!
Thank you Rachel & Howard

Hands down my favorite store in the city! Every time I wander in, I find new things to add to my home. I’ve been visiting Sideshow Gallery for years and years, and somehow there’s something new that surprises me every time! Over the years, I’ve bought books, crystals, oddities, statues, and even a t-shirt.

On my most recent venture, I took home this gorgeous crystal ball. I know it was difficult for them to part with, but rest assured it’s in a loving home and prominently displayed. Without a doubt, I will keep returning for years to come 🔮
Great space and beautifully curated exhibitions. It was an honour to be part of the Word of Mouth group exhibition at the gallery. The staff took great care of my work. Thank you!

Beautiful space, thought provoking exhibitions and art, and friendly, thoughtful staff. They took great care of my work when I participated in a group show here.
I finally made it to the Arts Club! Saw the famous staircase. I think I saw a Calder. The present show is pretty sparse, but powerful. Tim Burton would love it. Sometimes less is more.
I was reminded of the time I took in a Francis Bacon show, and decided to skip lunch afterwards.
Nice gallery with very friendly and supportive staff

Well the son finally got hitched! We gained a great daughter t'day, the venue was great, very historic building so the acoustics could b a'lil better but what the hell it's a wedding supposed 2 b loud Rite!!! Very attentive staff n the food n drinks were Aw'sum'ness. Highly recommend holding any of your future events here.
We came to see the gallery and everything went wrong. Their address in google maps is wrong and this place doesn't have enough signs to let you know where is the gate. We eventually found the gate by trial and error after wondering around for a long time. We somehow got the gate and there was a sign that asking us to ring the bell. We rang the bell and waited 5 mins..nothing happened. Someone has left the building and we got inside. The bad thing is there was someone to secure the building the whole time and didn't notice us while we're waiting outside. Avoid if you can...

Love this place! Can go in looking for one thing and consistently end up spending 100$ so it's basically Target for witchy people. Friendly owners. Always something amazing to see. Love the local art on the walls. Great incense selection. Great books. Spectacular jewelery. Some things are expensive but it feels like everything is fairly priced because there is always something in my price range.

With COVID they are limiting store capacity which I really appreciate since it is a VERY crowded space even in good times.

I’ve shopped at this wonderful neighborhood store since it first opened and have always had an amazing experience! This is our first stop for birthday gifts, holiday shopping or for picking up cards for any occasion. I love the diversity of artists represented and can always find something special for family and friends (or myself). We’ve ordered several of the handmade record crates - they are well made and look beautiful in our home. I particularly enjoy shopping for candles here, as well. The soy candles last a long time and smell great without being overpowering. I love the new online shopping option and appreciate their willingness to deliver or ship items. This is a fantastic store with a great selection of jewelry, cards, artwork and home decor. An added bonus - it is owned by kind and wonderful people (and the cutest puppy)!

this boutique is amazing. it's my go-to spot for great unique gifts for any occasion. i was out of town for my friend's birthday and ordered a present online for local delivery, i asked them to contact me before delivering to see if they could include a handwritten note in the card i bought. they were so sweet, responsive and happy to do it! they even gave me updates along the way prior to dropping off the gift so they ensured she got it. Lisa and Sean rock, i love that they support local artists and makes me happy to support small businesses. thanks Paperishmess!!
Great store featuring local Chicago artists, lots of variety and unique items, and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. Check it out! They are slowly re-opening and also have a substantial portion of their items online. Here's just a sample of some cool items!

New, posh space with fine art displayed and opportunities for creative special events. I recently hosted an event at the new location and the entire process was seamless. Working with the owners made the entire event planning process stress-free. Looking forward to hosting future events here!

This is such a cool art center! The space is pretty much a very open room with various rooms and sculptures lying around the room. The artwork is rotated regularly. The space itself has a warehouse feel. I really like the furniture inside and the overall industrial feel. I’m sure people use this venue for their wedding ceremonies.
Great space for art-themed events and more. Easy, free parking (where else can you get that?!) that makes the drive over no big deal. If given the opportunity to visit here...go!

It was an amazing experience to attend the third Friday open house at Zhou B Art Center this past week. The five floors of the building are a magnet for artists, collectors and art appreciators. There was so much going on it was hard to take it all in and I can't wait to attend the third Friday in October. I was amazed at the quality and variety of the artwork and it was fun to meet the artists and speak to them about their art.

Las Manos Gallery is a necessary stop while in Andersonville. Michael McGuire and Michelle Peterson-Albandoz are talented artists that keep an ever-evolving inventory of local art. Plenty not showcased on the gallery walls, so be sure to take time and chat with the folks there to see all they have to offer.

Went here for the Pookie in Space pop up exhibition. It's a cute little gallery that is perfect for a small event or gathering.

There is free street parking which is a plus, they also served refreshments and chips.

A nice place for emerging artists to display their work!
